What a perfect location for your Durango Vacation! The Ranch Getaway offers you stunning, peaceful views of water scenes, meadows and mountains right out your back deck. Access from either the great room or downstairs master bedrooms provides a tranquil and beautiful are to enjoy dining and relaxing. Or you may want to throw your line in the stocked ponds and hook a trout.

As you walk into Ranch Getaway the wall of widows seems to pull you right outside to this Aspen,Spruce and Pine covered lot. Whether its the brilliant blue Colorado sky with pristine snow scenes in winter, the green meadows and mountains in summer or the golden autumn - you will love it. We personally love the big lilac bush with its heavenly fragrance in early summer.

The great room will delight you in the fall and winter with its rock fireplace, flat screen T.V. comfortable appointments. The recently remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, all the appliances you need to prepare home cooked meals. (Or BBQ on the deck if you wish).

This first main floor has a really special master bedroom (one of two!) To enjoy sleeping on the comfy king bed with cool breezes coming through the screened sliders, is just heavenly. Take your morning coffee out onto the deck of the bedroom and watch the local ducks and waterfowl in your private pond. The attached master bathroom is special also. You can soak in the oversized Jacuzzi tub and enjoy the views at the same time. A skylight provides a window to the stars at night. A walk in shower, WC and double sinks round out the room.

Down the hall the third bedroom has a trundle bed. This is great place for the children. Across the hall is the remodeled tile bathroom with walk in shower.

Down the hall is the laundry room with washer/dryer.

Upstairs is unique also. A large second master suite with sitting area has it own full bath and walk in closet. Another skylight help make this room cheerful and sunny. Just down the hall is a cozy library area with a collection of books for your reading pleasure. Comfortable chair and small table make it a great 'cozy nook' for reading and relaxing.

The two car attached garage makes carrying the groceries in an easier chore.

Perhaps one of the best things about this location is the beautifully landscaped grounds. You will love morning walks to our 'Fawn Lake' with its gazebo. (The lake is stocked with trough so bring your poles. No license is needed.) Go left across the little bridge outside your door and you can hike all the way to The Animas River. Or continue your walk to the acres of peaceful manicured grounds with water ponds and lovely streams.

If tennis is your game, enjoy the courts. There is even a 1/2 court basketball area.

The Ranch Getaway is the perfecting spot for your base to visit not just historic Downtown Durango but Mesa Verde National Park, Durango Mountain Resort, Silverton and Ouray and more. We have all kinds of information for you in the home to assist you in enjoying all there is in this San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountains.

Perfectly Comfortable

My husband and I rented this property for a month to get out of the heat in Texas! It was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. About 10 miles outside of Durango, but not the least bit inconvenient. Plenty of restaurants and groceries within 10 min drive. Kim was extremely accommodating and checked in to make sure everything was ok. She even suggested some restaurants that we tried and were awesome.

The only thing I would caution is the "upstairs master" is not a full bedroom, it is a loft. So, there really are not 3 full bedrooms as specified in the description of this property. There are 2 bedrooms and the open loft (spacious and comfortable). So, anyone who stays upstairs will be up until the last people go to bed and up when the first people wake up as it is open to the living/dining/kitchen area. That said, it really isn't an issue unless you have a full house!

The neighborhood itself is gorgeous and a perfect size for an afternoon stroll around the block.

The price was great for what the house has to offer so it is definitely a good value.

Comfortable Cozy & Convenient!

We stayed for 3 nights over Memorial Day wknd and loved this property. It was perfect for our group's needs (2 couples and a toddler). Very comfortable, clean and well kept decor. The neighborhood is very quaint and all properties have a relaxing pond in the backyard. This home has a great view of the valley/mountains off the patio. The location is perfect w/ convenient grocery 2 miles away. It's about a 10 min drive into the heart of downtown Durango. We would all highly recommend this home to rent and wish we could have stayed longer!

Easy Stay

We live nearby this property but needed an additional house for overflow guests during a birthday weekend. This house worked beautifully. The Ranch is a lovely neighborhood that is an easy drive both to Durango and the ski resort. Kim, the manager, was a dream to work with - very accommodating and friendly. This home worked well for our needs and was well priced.

We stayed a week at The Ranch and loved the location. It's an easy drive, 10 miles, from downtown Durango. The home is lovely and with lots of amenities. My daughter loved her space upstairs. The house was adorable inside. We enjoyed walking through the community and barbequed 3 nights on the grill. We would definitely stay here again. We spent a day in Mesa Verde Canyons, Pagosa Springs and rode the train from Durango to Silverton.

Comfortable town home in lovely community

Our family of four (two kids ages 11 and 14) absolutely LOVED our time here. The town home is beautifully decorated and is perfect for a group of four to eight people. The bathrooms were really nice and the closets and storage space were ample. Our favorite part was the Ranch community itself. It's a really quite neighborhood with pristine yards and ponds throughout. We particularly enjoyed walking our dog though the neighborhood, which had very little car traffic. We also liked the beautiful and well-kept tennis courts and the big open space, which was perfect for playing frisbee and/or throwing the baseball. Another positive part of the Ranch is the location; it's situated halfway between downtown and the Durango mountain resort. I highly recommend this town home!

Beautiful views and comfortable home.

We traveled to Durango from Iowa and found "the ranch" to be a very nicely maintained and relaxing home. The views from the deck and the large windows were magnificent. Most importantly the manager was very generous with her time and suggestions. Kim even lent us her cell phone when mine was accidentally left in a previous stop. When we return to Durango, we will certainly look to rent this property again.
