VRBO Bear stayed here
Nov 4, 2016The VRBO Bear and family had a wonderful time staying at this luxurious apartment in the French Quarter. From the moment we opened the doors, we were impressed with the décor and layout. The home was clean and well appointed. There were comfortable nooks available as well as a cozy couch for us to cuddle up on. Personally, I fell in love with the I-Comfort cool gel mattress and am requesting one for my home. We loved having the opportunity to relax in the interior courtyard and being able to people watch from the apartment. It was such fun to see people coming and going along Bourbon Street, especially dressed up for Halloween. I even saw another bear! The apartment is centrally located in Vieux Carré so we did not need a car. We were within walking distance to the Ntchez, Cemetery 1 and Bourbon Street amongst other locations of interest. The very best memory of the trip was being able to walk to Café du Monde every morning for beignets and a café au lait and then taking a walk in the park along the Mississippi River. The French Quarter is amazing and full of small architectural details in the historic buildings. There was so much to see and do, we cannot wait to come back to this apartment and experience more that New Orleans has to offer.
A great location. Quiet enough at night. The unit is smaller than pictured but very well equipped. Best for one couple even though a sleeper bed exists.
The greats: Landlord is superb! Material condition of condo is superb! Appliances, washer/dryer, shower, furniture condtion superb! Location is superb! Price is superb!
Don't forget to bring a bring a hair dryer or walk 4 short blocks and pick one up at CVS.
Unit loaded up with dish washer soap, laundry detergent, bath soap, TP.
It's the QTR and a street level condo, be prepared for sounds of the city.
Great location, stayed during New Years. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The only bad thing was the WiFi didn’t work on mobile devices in the back of the apartment.
This apartment was so cute and close to everything in the French Quarter. Sherman was wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fabulous. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is like a spa. I highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure!
This Condo is in a really good location in the Quarter. Just a few nits to mention that would make this a 5 Star Condo: 1) the WiFi did not work very well (signal would not drive internet on a laptop or tablet, and kept dropping on the cellphone); 2) the mirrors in the bathroom are hung too high for anyone that is not approaching 6 feet tall; 3) you have to open the dishwasher door to open the drawer containing the utensils; and, 4) the courtyard is not really "finished" and is not private at all. In general, the Condo is not as large as it appears in the photos, particularly the bedroom. Other than those nits, the Condo is nice and I would recommend it for 2 people, but no more than 2.
We booked for 3 but stayed for 5 days. The discription is perfect.you are in the heart of everything but away from the noise so you sleep. The police park their cars close so you can,t get much safer,Tourist board on the corner if you need any help. We can not thank Sherman enough for sharing this small perfectly formed gem. When I say small it is not realy plenty of room for the two of us..I can rave about this place enough,if you are going to New Orleans book it,thanks to the bear for finding it.
