Customer services were excellent: they respond to our email inquiries within mins even on Christmas eve. The cabin is clean, cozy and beautiful. Definitely come back again next fall.
This property was so perfect for a weekend getaway. It's decorated so perfectly - the pictures online don't do justice to the actual house! Would rent again in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing your home!
We had a lovely time at the Lakeview Lodge and found the description and pictures to be very accurate. The lodge was recently updated and had all of the amenities that we could have asked for. It was simple, clean, and in a beautiful location. The screened in porch was our favorite place to relax and watch the summer storms roll through in the afternoons. As the description of the property states, it is not directly on the lake, but a short walk across a quiet one-lane road. The walk down to the lake is fairly steep with approximately 100 stairs, so make sure you are prepared to do some climbing!
We are a family of 5 with kids ages 24, 21, and 14. Although there is access to a small dock via a 50+ foot staircase, the dock was used/full all week by someone else. The house had three nice bedrooms and 2 nice bathrooms. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. All appliances worked and the very clean. Each room had a large TV (4) connect to Direct TV. Nice large screened in deck and a gas grill that propane and an extra tank in case one ran out. The washer/dryer worked great. The location was convenient to everything. We could have had at least four cars parked there, but we only brought the one.
There we just a few issues. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The gutters leaked and needed cleaning. Water pressure in the kitchen sink was poor. The DVD/VCR did not work. Someone came to cut the lawn and trim early in the morning while we were still asleep.
All said we would return there again.
The description of this property is spot on. Beautiful 1940's lake view, lodge style home, with all the modern conveniences!
When we arrived, the lights were on to welcome us and the place was immaculate.
Very spacious, three couples would have more than enough room to enjoy a relaxing stay.
We spent alot of time on the large, screened in porch, in the comfortable bentwood rockers, just admiring the beauty all around us.
A short walk across the street leads to a pontoon deck, where we had Logan from Scuber, pick us up in his pontoon for a "taxi" ride to Larkins.
We were just minutes from Lake Lure beach, where we met up with family for a great time. Larkins and LaStrada, are two great restaurants that are close by.
Ingles grocery store is about a mile away, very convenient. Chimney Rock Village just around the corner, where we went to Medina's for breakfast.
We couldn't ask for more, it was an awesome, restful vacation! We would definitely return! Our thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful home.
We took my 85 year old parents to this house to celebrate their wedding anniversary weekend. The reason we chose the house is because it is mostly level around the home and has 3 bedrooms each with a queen size bed and very comfortable seating in the family room. This home is beautiful inside and out. The screened porch was perfect for sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying morning coffee. We had planned on fishing, but the steps leading down to Lake Lure were too steep to get down comfortably. I would highly recommend this home !
Centrally located in the center of Lake Lure which is 30 minutes from Hendersonville, Asheville, Tryon, Black Mountain & Rutherfordton.
