About Jody Little or Angie Jones
Blackberry Preserve is owned by four friends, one is a NC native and Appalachian State University Alumni, the other 3 came to NC by choice and fell in love with the NC high country.
Jody Little or Angie Jones purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Jody Little or Angie Jones chose Apple Ridge
Out of our love for the NC Mountain High Country came a search for the perfect mountain getaway to share. The Blackberry Preserve is a blessing to us and dream come true. In this home traditional cabin feel intersects with modern convenience and the perfect location. Nestled among tall trees and Rhododendron our cabin's private lot feels secluded, yet it's close to all the best the NC High Country has to offer. We instantly fell in love with this cabin, the area surrounding it and the people who so warmly welcomed us to Blackberry. We want visitors to the Blackberry Preserve to find peace and solitude among the natural beauty that surrounds our mountain retreat. Our sincere hope is that your stay will serve to refresh and renew your spirit.
What makes this Cabin unique
While Blackberry Preserve was the perfect home away from home when we found it, we've added personal touches and modern conveniences to make it as perfect for you as it is for us.

Hidden Away and Close By - All in One!
The accessibility to Blowing Rock was fantastic, yet this gem was hidden away! We spent our days taking part in all the things this area has to offer and then enjoyed our family time in this great cabin. I would definitely say this one is a do-over!
Great cabin for weekend getaway
I would give them ten stars if this site would allow me. I’m a disabled vet and was looking to have a nice weekend getaway with my family. The owners made it beyond easy to get there and instructions on what to expect when we arrived. Once we got there everything was perfect. When we had some changes to our trip, they were very understanding with our changes and went well beyond what a normal owner would do. Completely and totally satisfied with this cabin and would recommend it to anyone!
We loved our stay at the cabin.
We had 3 couples in our party. One of the ladies had used the cabin 5 years ago her sisters brought their mom to celebrate her birthday. She highly recommended the cabin . With 3 couples it is hard to find a cabin with 3 full bed rooms. Most have twin beds in any one that is 3 bedrooms. We enjoyed not having to be inconvenienced deciding who got the twin beds.lol. The cabin was beautiful we had everything we needed if we chose to cook. There were plenty of towels , the beds , and furniture were comfy and cozy. The decor was very tasteful and very thought out. If I ever come back to stay in the area I hope to stay at Blackberrie Preserve once again.
We enjoyed our stay! The home was well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and accommodated the six adults easily. Short drive into Blowing Rock and easy to navigate. Thank you!
Great place for parents and kids!
We had a wonderful time staying at the Blackberry Preserve with four adults and two toddlers. The house is very well maintained and had everything we needed. The loft was a great place to play with the kids and the adults enjoyed the deck and fire pit after the little ones went to bed. The location is great for quick trips to Blowing Rock and Boone. The only minor issues were the lack of outdoor green space and a couple of the bedrooms have skylights, which is great during the day but makes for a bright morning. Thank you for having us!
Beautiful! Clean! Very relaxing!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Blackberry Preserve. We were desperately in need of some quiet time to unplug and that's exactly what we got. Our daughter especially enjoyed having meals on the porch and watching the horse across the street. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The cabin was well stocked with anything we could have needed during our stay. It truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!!
