A roadrunner family lives in the cactus garden next door. Enjoy privacy and security in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from historic Nob Hill where you can enjoy shopping at predominantly locally-owned shops, galleries, and restaurants. If you want some excitement, there is a gambling casino less than a mile away. Tourist attractions are a short drive or bus ride away. Go to historic Old Town, downtown, the ABQ BioPark, or even spend an exciting day riding the Rail Runner Express to Santa Fe. There is no easier way to see Albuquerque and get around than with the Rapid Ride Transit 1 block away that goes N/S and E/W to all the popular hot spots and shopping malls. You are within a 5 mile radius of the airport, hospitals, Kirtland Air Force Base and VA hospital and walking distance to drug stores and grocery stores (e.g., Sprouts, Walmart).

About Sherrie Trezza

I was a military brat that traveled all over the country during my younger years but finally settled in Rhode Island my teenage years. When I was old enough, I moved back to Albuquerque, NM. Although I was born in Texas , my husband is the true 'Texan' who grew up there and worked ranches and traveled playing country and blues. I met my 'pizza man' at CiCi's Pizza in 1997 after his family moved from Texas to start the CiCI's Pizza franchise. He was well known around Albuquerque for his warm personality and polite 'yes ma'am/sir' responses. He is a sweet southern gentleman with a down to earth working man's demeanor.

Both of us waited a long time to meet the 'right' person. So after getting married that same year we jumped right into starting a new business located in the hub of Albuquerque (Coors and I-40) called Move-it Yourself Center. This was the perfect business for our skills. He loved working with trucks and trailers and I loved supporting our dream of owning our own business. We were also a U-Haul dealership. This business allowed him to help people through the most stressful times of their lives (e.g.,planning moves due to job loss, house moves or sometimes major family changes). Our dealership became one of the top 100 dealerships in the nation out of over 16,000 dealerships.

Like many others around the nation, 2008 proved a trying time for us and we were forced to close up shop in 2009 due to the economy. But now we get to embark on this new adventure called VRBO. We get to help people have fun and relax by providing a warm and inviting environment for their stay in Albuquerque.

We absolutely love this property that was lovingly kept and nurtured by the late owner of Loyola's Family Restaurant which is still family run and offers New Mexican food. It is located just around the corner on Central Ave. SE. For you Breaking Bad (BrBa) fans, Mike and Jesse ate here during Season 5! We hope we can honor Loyola's love for her home by sharing the peaceful feelings that are present within it's walls. The neighbors are genuine and are proud of their quiet neatly kept street. Even the roadrunners next door seem to take pride in their home and regularly run around tasting the water left out for them in the surrounding yards.

What makes this townhome unique

We love the enclosed gazebo located in the backyard which is surrounded by over 20 rose bushes and other flowering foliage! This home offers a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of modern living. Garage access and security gates give this home the proper amount of privacy and guarantee guests a refuge and retreat. Peace of mind and body becomes effortless within the confines of this home.

Great place to stay in ABQ

This is a very comfortable and thoughtfully decorated home for two couples to stay at. Layout is excellent: there are two bedrooms (both with king size beds)/baths at opposite ends of the house to maximize privacy and a great open area in between with plenty of space to hang out with additional people you may be visiting while you are in town. Kitchen has all the standard amenities with plenty of dining seating options and full washer/dryer; overall a very livable place that is far better than any hotel option. Throw in the bonus of a full 2-car garage and an enclosed gazebo in the back yard and you have a winning combo. Location is also very good, residential neighborhood is well kept, Sprouts Grocery is at the end of the street and Central Ave. with plenty of restaurants is also a couple of minutes away...even a nearby Walmart experience if you so desire. Sherrie was a peach to work with and extremely accommodating and flexible with our arrival and departure. All in all everything you could hope for in a VRBO stay.

A delightful little house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The layout of the house seemed perfect for our little party of 3 people, and everything was precisely as described in the listing. If we wind up visiting Albuquerque again, I would rent this house in a heartbeat!

Awesome!

A very nice place to stay. It was cozy and comfortable. Everything you would want was available in the house. It was a good central place for the ballon festival as well as other activities. Sherrie was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Albuquerque

Time with Family in a Clean Spacious Townhome

We arrived late and the townhouse was ready for us. Sherrie was very easy to contact and communicate with which was much appreciated. She sent us the codes before arriving and left very detailed instructions upon arriving and leaving. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed, even extra towels and coffee. The beds were soft and had nice soft bedding. The shower was really nice with a rain, heavy flow showerhead in the master. We did see a Spouts supermarket which was within a block or so. We didn’t venture out much into the neighborhood as our relatives lived in another area, however we did take a quick trip down route 66 which is near the townhouse.

We stayed here with 3 adults and a 5 year old. It was kid friendly.

We liked the security of the house and the private backyard (and the roses!). The oak woodwork throughout the house was well built and clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. The garage was nice to park our truck in every night.

The only thing I would upgrade would be to add black out curtains in the bed rooms and living room (TV viewing). But overall, our stay was great. Thanks

This 'home away from home' is centrally located with ease of access to all parts of the city and interstates. Trendy Nob Hill is walking distance away where shopping, eating, and nightlife are at a premium. Natives are spoiled with 310 days of sunshine and a mild, dry climate whereby any outdoor activity is viable virtually year-round. We are blessed with four distinct and stunning seasons. However, due to the nature of our locale, one can bike through the city or jog in the sunshine in the morning and take a 15 minute drive to the Sandia Peak Tramway for an afternoon ski or snowboarding adventure. You can also take a beautiful rafting trip down the Rio Grande to the Bosque to watch the beautiful birds and nature from the river or hike the trails. And for those of you that want to taste the local food, in New Mexico, chile isn't just a vegetable. It's practically a religion. It inspires devotion among worshipers who blend it into everything from to beer to fudge to spa treatments. A statewide trail pays homage to the green chile cheeseburger. A state-run institute is dedicated to its study. It even rates an official state question: red or green?

Our transportation system makes it easy to go shopping to all the great shopping stops such as downtown, Old Town, and Uptown. The Rapid Ride can take you to shops and restaurants around the city and will also take you to the Rail Runner which transports locals and tourists to Santa Fe. We have wineries all over the state with some within the city or neighboring communities. We are located central to all necessities you could imagine. Several hospitals, banks, drugstores and even UNM are only minutes away by walking, car or bus. Entertainment downtown and Nob Hill comes in many forms such as live theater, movies, shopping, crafts, etc..
