This property is a little jewel in easy walking distance to all that Ballard has to offer.

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter and son in law live in Ballard and this property was an easy walk to their place. The place is new with a kitchen that is well equipped. Living room and kitchen and dining area are on main floor. Guest bedroom, laundry, bathroom, and den on the second floor. Master bed and bath and patio on the third floor with one more level patio that looks out on Ballard. So you have separation if that is desired. So if you want some room while you are on vacation then this is ideal. You look at what a hotel would cost and there is just no comparison.

Very easy walking to Ballard's restaurants, bars, and shopping. QFC (grocery) is 5 blocks away. You really don't need a car. Mass transit or Uber are readily available.

My wife and I travel a reasonable amount and wouldn't hesitate to be critical if there were any problems. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Darren and Tingting.

Great place, loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This property perfectly suited our needs on our recent visit to the Seattle area- clean, well maintained, and cozy yet enough space for us to spread out comfortably. Though we never met our hosts in person, my communications with them before and during our stay made accessing and leaving the premises an easy-peasy breeze!!!! Parking WAS a little tight, but thanks to previous reviews I made sure to rent a compact car so it was very doable. Would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Best Location in Ballard

  • 5 of 5

Stayed four nights in October. The house suited us perfectly - great location, well set up house. Darren and Tingting were great hosts who provided lots of help and useful information.

The neighbourhood felt particularly safe, even walking home after dark.

I would recommend this property without hesitation for anyone wanting a stay in Seattle. Ballard is a delightful area without the hustle and bustle of downtown.

Loved the rooftop patio!!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful townhouse in a great location. Easy walking distance to the shopping and restaurants in Ballard. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed amenities in the area including the library, fitness facilities, unique stores and great food! The Ballard Locks are quite close, as well as a beautiful park, Golden Gardens. The proximity to Downtown Seattle, Queen Anne and Magnolia was perfect for us. The space in the townhouse worked well for us with 2 adults and 2 kids. There are a lot of stairs, but this was not an issue for us. We enjoyed dinners and glasses of wine on the rooftop patio. A great place to spend time in Seattle!

Very nice house, great location

  • 5 of 5

The house was very nice - three stories, modern and very clean. Very comfortable bedrooms/beds, and a well stocked kitchen for cooking meals. It was a nice location to return to after a day of sightseeing.

The location was another very strong point for the house. About 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Seattle (Space Needle, Pikes Place, etc) and you don't have to get on any freeways. Some major arterial streets leading into downtown were easily accessible, and even during the commute rush, were not unmanageable. Also many good restaurants and grocery stores within a mile or so as well.

Couple of minor issues to be aware of, however. First, the parking spot assigned to this unit is almost unreachable with anything larger than a compact car. We had a Camry and had to make about 10 shuffle moves to get into it; we ultimately had to back out to the street because we couldn't turn around. Would recommend visitors park on the street near the home rather than trying to get into/from the parking spot. There was parking available most of the time on the street (many others parked there as well) within half a block of the house.

Second, the front room window is a bit disconcerting. People walking by on the street could look directly into the front room while we were eating or watching TV. A window covering for the high part of the window might be in order to minimize that view.

All in all, highly recommend the home for future visitors. Darren and Tingting were great and easy to work with.

Owner's Response: Thanks for adding to our list of flattering and informative reviews. I will re-install the blind on that window, it took a while to reorder the mounting hardware and it got lost to during this summers remodeling. I was hoping the frosting on the lower half of the glass would suffice but I guess not. Sorry about that to all the folks that has to put up with that. On a different topic...the new carpet got installed this week, which should lighten up the second floor a fair bit. So please come back soon and enjoy another stay even more than the last time.

Clean, up to date, spacious property

  • 5 of 5

We stay in VRBO properties 1-3 times a year. Our main priority is cleanliness, the features of the kitchen, and how up to date the property is. This property has it all. It was immaculate with a nice kitchen (coffee maker, dishwasher, spices, dishes, etc.) and was up to date/modern. We were a family of 4 (2 teens and 2 parents), and the place had plenty of room for all of us to spread out after long days of touring in and out of Seattle. Ballard is a great location for tourists - we were able to easily catch the bus to go downtown, and we were able to reach the highway easily with our rental car. At first I was worried we were too north, but this turned out to be not correct. It was great to be in a residential neighborhood with great funky stores for all of us in the family and restaurants only a 7 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) away. I would stay here again. Owners were easily accessible and responsive to my basic questions. We had no issues but if we had, I know they'd be responsive.
