Overview

About the property

Three Bells Cabin is a beautifully restored, fully furnished log cabin.

The recently and beautifully restored log cabin, built circa 1920 by a local Bitterroot family, saw many years of family fun and gatherings. Much remains the same, except now you’ll be enjoying running water and indoor plumbing with a new tiled-shower, and the convenience of a washer and dryer.

The bedroom has a queen log bed and a gas fireplace, and the front sunporch or 'sleeping porch' has a queen log bed and lots of windows. A comfortable futon also sleeps two. The kitchen is fully equipped and the large stone fireplace in the living room draws everyone in. Perfect for two-three couples, three singles, or a family with children.

You’ll want to take time to visit the huge Bells located on a knoll just over the creek. And see if you can find the other big bell atop another hill. Three Bells Cabin is a great fishing-and-hiking mountain retreat in the heart of land you already own—your National Forest. Come and enjoy it!

About Amy Sage

Fourteen years ago I established the Bitterroot Valley's first vacation rental home, with my own SweetSage Guest House. As a stay-at-home-mom with three children, my business expanded slowly to managing other nearby properties, allowing me to remain mostly at home with my family. Today, SweetSage Vacation Rentals flourishes as a diverse enterprise with a unique selection of both vacation and long-term rentals. With every guest, I’m dedicated to providing the best the Bitterroot has to offer . . . clean, quiet surroundings, the comforts of home, and, always, my special attention.

great getaway

  • 5 of 5

So we were at a big group wedding in the area and this was the perfect getaway for 6 of us. The cabin is super comfortable, well stocked and in a nice private setting. The host Amy was great to deal with setting everything up and I would surely go back again. Zero complaints!

Great Montana family and friends getaway

  • 4 of 5

We were able to stay two different weeks this past September; hunting and fishing throughout the area with family and friends. We made memories that would last us a lifetime. The cabin gave us the peace and quiet we were all looking for along with great amenities such as starting the day with a nice warm shower and ending the day with a comfortable front porch to share the days stories with while winding down with a cold beverage.

Of course we would all like to have been connected to the outside world through cable TV, internet or cell service....the trade off was having good conversation or reading a book rather than looking at facebook, ESPN or CNN...we manage to survive...

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We had high hopes for this place, and we were absolutely blown away. Everything about the cabin was perfect; secluded, cozy, and exactly as described. Amy was so helpful and accommodating. It is clear someone has put a lot of love and thought into this place. It was immaculate, well stocked, she's clearly thought of everything to make a great vacation spot. We felt like we were staying in a family cabin and not a bare-bones rental. We've had some great trips to Montana, and this is the best place we've ever stayed. Thanks so much for everything!

Lovely beyond imagination

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a spiritual retreat and Three Bells Cabin provided that and more. It was such a great place to enjoy the out of doors, soak in nature and connect with the Lord. I loved having no phone, no text messages waiting and no internet. It was comfortable, clean and charming and cozy. I will definitely visit there again - maybe a sisters retreat next spring.

Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with me.

Three Bells Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Three Bells cabin. From the quiet peacefulness of the forest out the back door to the sound of the river just steps rom the front door. Don't expect wifi, cell phone or television which was just what we wanted. Our week was spent fly fishing in the area and enjoyed catching the wild brook and cutthroat trout within minutes of the cabin. Lots of exploring and wildlife viewing of elk, mountain goats and elk. Especially enjoyed the many great restaurants and the farmers market in Hamilton. The location was also great for a base day trips around western Montana and Eastern Idaho. The cabin was exactly as stated and very cozy with beautiful furnishings, a beautiful bathroom and well equipped kitchen. I could go on, but highly recommend you see for yourself. Amy was prompt in responding during the reservation process. We will be planning a return trip soon.

Peaceful retreat-four generation get away

  • 5 of 5

Still feeling the love and peace from this excursion. Me, my husband, mom, daughter and two grand daughters all had a wonderful experience at Three Bells. My husband is a general contractor and always inspects the workmanship of any structure. He was very impressed by the cabin's remodel and all the tasteful materials used for finishes. All the modern conveniences and comforts while remaining an authentic cabin, very clever. This is a peaceful, serene setting perfect for reading a good book and attaining true relaxation. For the individual of group looking for activity we also biked, hiked, fished, foraged and explored. The cabin has something for everyone, an ultimate getaway.
