About Rachel Harbour
Our Father, Joe Fitzgerald, purchased the home in 1979, shortly after it was renovated as part of a focused effort to resurrect the beauty of the neighborhood that had fallen into disrepair. Dad was a twenty year military man, with multiple degrees in psychology, engineering and business, and who spoke three languages. He passed away in November, 2012, just a few weeks short of his 80th birthday. We decorated his home to honor its history while preserving Dad’s personality and his rich life experiences. Our Father deeply loved this home and often said, “I feel more like a steward than an owner of this home. It is my job to preserve it for generations to come.” We were blessed to inherit this home from our Father and we feel the same sense of responsibility. We are happy to share this treasure with others to enjoy as we have. Cynthia and Rachel (Joe's Daughters)

Lovely neighborhood and Home!
We enjoyed our stay very much! The area is beautiful with its tree lined streets and gorgeous old homes! Only a few minutes from the Old Spaghetti Factory!! Yum!
The house was HUGE! More than enough room for us! The third story room makes for a secluded quiet getaway. The kitchen was well stocked for all of our family meals and the big dining room table was just what we needed. There were more than enough rooms and seating for a large group. Plenty of extra towels and blankets for everyone. Nice comfortable beds too! The house even had a lit Christmas tree! What a nice surprise!
Thank you for sharing your home with us over the holiday!
This historic home is full of charm and every amenity, with multiple levels, varied sitting and entertaining areas, a well furnished kitchen, comfortable beds and even several outdoor areas for relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, with a coffee shop, restaurants and the park only one street away. This will be our home away from on in Saint Louis for all future trips.
I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at our home and lovely Lafayette Park. We look forward to seeing you again for your future travels.
Wonderful place!!! Would recommend it to everyone. Could not ask for a better place. A home the family must be proud to own.
Great house, great location, very comfortable.
The house is a beautiful spacious home. The architectural features are very interesting and the house is very comfortable.
The location is great, with several restaurants and bars nearby. We were in town to watch Cardinal baseball and the ride to the ballpark is only a few minutes.
My family enjoyed gathering to cook and spending time eating at the house. Full amenities made clean up and washing clothes easy. We can't say enough things about this house and our stay. We hope to return soon!
Thanks so much for the kind review. We too love the home and its convenient location. Our Dad would be delighted to know you enjoyed the kitchen. He stocked it well to meet his "foodie" heart and many feasts have been enjoyed there. We look forward to your next visit.

Beautiful! Great neighborhood too, quiet and peaceful.
House is so well stocked in addition to being beautiful and well maintained. We all loved it. Even the incredible stairs can't dissuade how wonderful a place this is!
We're so glad you enjoyed the home and that it met your needs. Yes, we love the shape those stairs leave us in afterwards, even though we may grumble while we are there! :-)

Great location, size, and price
With four beds and three sofas of varying lengths and widths, we had no problems accomodating our six-some.
We're glad to hear your party of six were all comfortable. It is indeed a very large house with plenty of space. :-) We look forward to your next visit to St Louis.
