This peaceful river view retreat near La Pine State Park features three nicely decorated bedrooms, gorgeous wood-beamed ceilings, a spacious outdoor deck and dock, and unique Eastern-influenced touches throughout. You will love how the sun trickles through the windows in the morning and reflects off of the shiny wood floors.
Though closer to the town of La Pine, Oregon, this home is only about 30 minutes outside of downtown Bend. You can also take a day trip to Sunriver which is about 15 miles north. In the snowy winter months, spend the afternoon skiing the trails of Mount Bachelor which is about 45 minutes away. But perhaps this best feature of this house is its private setting away from it all.
The breeziest room in this house just might be the big outdoor deck, complete with comfy furniture, a BBQ grill, and river views. Head inside when it gets a bit too chilly and warm yourself by the wood burning fireplace while sitting on the modern sectional sofa in the great room. Though this home has WiFi, you won't find any TVs in this here, adding to the peaceful, quiet atmosphere.
Gather with friends and family in the great room near the fireplace or in the dining area, where you can enjoy home-cooked meals. From there, head into the kitchen where you can enjoy gourmet details like dark granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Stocked with all the necessities, creating memorable meals will be a delight in this space.
Upstairs, you'll find all three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a fireplace and a cozy queen sized bed. The next two bedrooms each have a queen bed as well. There are two and a half bathrooms throughout the home and a laundry room for your convenience. This home will comfortably sleep six guests and is also pet-friendly for a maximum of one dog with an additional pet fee.
This is the ideal location for a group looking to spend some time in a peaceful woodsy setting, yet not too far from Bend. Spend the day walking around downtown, then head back to your private sanctuary for the night. Whether you choose to relax by the living room's fireplace or in the peaceful meditation room, you will truly feel like you're on vacation!

The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well appointed. We didn't lack a thing. They truly thought of everything. And the views were so serene.
Very nicely kept home with everything we needed in the kitchen. Disappointed with no t.v.
Great property for our pet and limited traffic for walks on road! Beautiful!
Private private private! And steps to the trails in LaPine State Park either direction out the front door, which is awesome for doggy guests. Our pup, Lucy, was in heaven! This was a truly relaxing stay, even though we did so much hiking all around the Bend area and were so tired each night. Slept well in the comfy bed. This area is SO BEAUTIFUL and there's so much to see and do.
The cabin doesn't have a TV (no concern of mine, but my hubby was bummed), but had 2 beautiful new decks to enjoy the view of the property and river, with lounge chairs and table/chairs. The house is nicely set up, however the kitchen should stock basics like sugar and a few spices, not rely on what other's leave behind. There were plenty of nice dishes, glasses, and utensils, though, along with a good assortment of appliances. Bring bubble bath and a good book; there's a nice big tub in the master bedroom for soaking while gazing at the view. Beautiful! Only one Presto log was provided for our 7-day stay in the upstairs bedroom, even though the fireplace instruction sheet said 3 would be available for that length of time, so bring a couple more if you want to use them. It was very romantic with a fire going and I wish there were a couple more logs as indicated.
Only 125 steps to the dock, which is a pleasant stroll thru the property. Very beautiful to sit at the water's edge and watch the geese and ducks fly in! We're hoping to come back again to this peaceful home, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Beautiful home in an awesome setting
We had a wonderful vacation in this house. Convenient location to Bend, Cascade scenic drive and Crater Lake. Awesome riverside property.
The Shanti River House is a very comfortable and exceptionally clean and well stocked home! The kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels in every bathroom, and amenities such as soap, shampoo, and lotion were nicely provided. We enjoyed the view of the Deschutes River out the back, fishing from the small dock, the yoga room, and the variety of books available. The dog care basket with all the goodies (dog bowls, blankets, etc) was a very nice touch!
The location of the home was beautiful and convenient; close to Bend, easy drive to beautiful lakes, the High Desert Museum, and Smith Rock. We truly enjoyed our 10th Anniversary staying at this house and would love to stay here again.
The property was beautiful and the home was nice and clean!
Our overall stay was amazing! Small things from the house is all the beds were uncomfortable. The master bed has a select comfort (soft/firm mattress option), but the buttons did not work. We could feel the air coils inside of the mattress.
The upstairs HVAC ducts hardly blew any cold air upstairs which made it very uncomfortable to sleep or be in bed during the daytime (temp outside were low 90s).
There was also no TV available and wifi barely worked throughout our weekend stay.
Overall, we had an amazing time with our family and friends! If the list I mentioned gets fixed, we would definitely be staying here again!!
