This newly remodeled ground floor oceanfront unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. A lanai that is steps to the beach. New flooring throughout, new bathrooms and granite counters. The master suite has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom is masterfully decorated with a queen-sized bed. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper so this unit fits 6 people comfortably! Enjoy cooking in a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Located in the heart of Kapaa town, Pono Kai Resort is walking distance to shops, restaurants and groceries! The resort's amenities include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, 2 saunas, a workout studio, shuffleboard, putting greens, concierge services and more!

Our condo has an unobstructed view of the ocean with flow through ocean breezes. Each room has a 52" ceiling fan. The large, noisy AC units are installed on the lanais, and spoil the serenity, which is why we do not have AC!

Numerous beaches within a 10-15 minute drive from this unit! Only 20 minutes away to the beautiful Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, 35 minutes to the beautiful Hanalei Bay both on the northshore. If you want to hit the sunny side of the island, its only a 45 minute (or less) drive to the south!

About John Strizver

This condo was purchased by my Dad as a place he could gather his family to make those memories that last a lifetime and beyond. My Dad was very instumental in making the Pono Kai into the destination it is today. He served on the Board of Directors, and his contributions are remembered by the Association with a palm tree dedicated to his memory on the lanai side of the F building. My family has built our own memories in Kauai using the Pono Kai as our home. Our sons are now making their own trips, taking friends that need to experience what Kauai has to offer.

For stays longer than a week, we strongly recommend a mid-stay freshening of the condo. The freshening would include resupplying consumables, clean linens and towels, and light cleaning. The fee for this is only $75, and will help to make your stay more comfortable.

Enjoyable stay

Our recent stay was great! Loved how close the condo was to the ocean and the walking path. The condo is nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable with the sounds of the waves. Unfortunately there was refurbishing of the units next store with noise Monday through Saturday.

Steps from the ocean!!

Updated condo, steps from the ocean exactly what we had hoped for!! We fell asleep every night with the windows open listening to the waves crashing. It was amazing!!! There was enough space for the 5 of us and we loved being able to sit on the lanai and enjoy the sunrise every morning. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and kitchenware. Condo was just as stated. Location was perfect as well. This was our second visit to the island and we knew we wanted to be centrally located and this was great!! Thank you so much!!

Beautiful location directly on the ocean.

We stayed for 6 weeks in Feb-March 2017. The location is perfect, and this condo is one of the largest 2bed/2bath in the complex. The grounds are beautiful and the condo is nicely updated. The rental agency is great to work with, and the owner was very helpful during our stay. We have stayed in several Pono Kai condos over the past 8 years, and this one is by far the best. We love the small town of Kapaa, the new addition of several food trucks (gourmet pizza!, shave ice!) within walking distance of the condo, the beautiful sandy beach in front of the condo, and the 8+mile walking/bike path along the ocean, just steps from the condo slider. Book early because this condo is very popular!

Property was amazing! Beautiful views!

There just needs to be clarification for the resort itself because upon arriving they didn't have any info for us on how to access our key pad for the condo. That was a disappointing way to start the trip being locked out, but after that everything was great! Very nice condo, with amazing view of the beach.
