Sunny (2 sky lights) completely renovated second floor unit in downtown Newport. Park your car (2 cars tandem) and walk to everything. Enjoy the shops, restaurants and seasonal events during your peaceful stay. The unit is fully furnished with all the amenities you will need including an eat-in kitchen, linens, towels, utensils and a fully functional kitchen. The unit consists of a master bedroom with a queen size bed and master bath, a bedroom with a full size bed and a living room futon. High speed internet and cable TV is also provided.

John is a native newporter who grew up in this house. He and his wife enjoy coming to newport many times over the course of the year to visit family and friends.

John purchased this apartment in 2004

This is the house I grew up in and cherish. The renovations over the years have been a labor of love.

a completely appointed eat-in kitchen and completely updated unit. Includes a master bedroom/bath, a second bedroom and bathroom. Parking for two cars (tandem). You won't need the car when you can walk to most points of interest (restaurants, church, bakery, shops, nightlife, waterfront, festivals, mansions and cliff walk)

Great location, generous space, nice host.

Excellent location, central to Thames and walkable to most stores and restaurants. Easy parking. Large unit with open space with some nice touches - water in the fridge, laundry detergent, umbrellas, etc. Beds, linens, pillows, towels were a bit lacking, but otherwise a livable space.

Nothing special, especiallly for the price

The property was in a great location and the off street parking was a plus. The cleanliness was OK but climate was difficult to control with the two window AC units in the bed rooms with none in the kitchen and living room. Some mildew was present in bathrooms. The service charge and the cleaning fee seemed excessive and the hefty security charge added up to a high number that HomeAway won't let me reference in this review. The towels were old and bleach stained. Beds were comfortable. I probably would see if I could find another place for my next trip to New Port.

Had another wonderful stay at the perfect home!

Anyone looking to spend time in Newport would enjoy staying at john's place! I have stayed for four years in a row, and always have the best time! The home is very clean and neat, the owner is super responsive, and the location can't be beat. Right on Thames, with restaurants and bars and stores just outside of your door. I would highly recommend this wonderful place! Two big bedrooms and bathrooms also, that are very comfie!
