Charming, historic three bedroom, two bath beach front bungalow on Niu Beach. The original 1927 year old cottage was completely and lovingly remodeled in 2010, updating all electrical, plumbing, and appliances. This relaxed and stylish beach house features hardwood floors throughout, huge sliding French Doors with unobstructed view of the sea, vaulted ceilings, craftsman woodwork and trim, and modern kitchen and bathrooms finished with gorgeous Brazilian marble and granite stone.
This home was featured in several Oahu designer showcases and magazines, and yet remains family friendly, with a king size bed in the master, two twins in one bedroom, and another twin in the third bedroom. There is free parking in front of the home.
There are two other vacation rentals on property that may or may not be booked during your stay in the main house. If interested in renting the entire house (which would then sleep 7 downstairs & 6 upstairs) check availability on other two units, VRBO #286838 and VRBO #290820. Entire house rents for $6,000 week + fees.
This property was purchased by the owners for personal/family use and also to create a luxury vacation rental space. The owners are passionate about surfing and Hawaii, and also own a surf school in Waikiki. The owners are delighted to combine 'surf and stay' packages for guests upon request. This rental property was designed to appeal to travelers who want the luxuries of home whilst exploring the island and feeling like locals.

I was traveling to Hawaii for a conference with my 2 small children, husband and parents and wanted a place on the beach that was close to Wakiki for my conference. We loved every part of this place. The noise of the main road can be a bit much if you have the front door open for ventilation but it wasn't really bothersome. They had everything we could want available. The beach out front was perfect and I loved that there was a kayak we could use as well. The other rentals were occupied but everyone was nice and we could never hear the other occupants. There was a great little grill available and coconuts on the beach that we could crack open and eat!! The view was amazing. The house is in a little cove and we found that even when it was windy on wakiki it was calm and sunny at the house. There is a washer and dryer in the unit to use and everything we could have wanted. I hope to stay here again!!! IT was in a nice location for sightseeing although you do need a car to stay here.
Stayed here during the Christmas holiday 2014. The house is absolutely amazing. The view from the deck and beach are spectacular. Even though house is convenient to Waikii, you feel like you are on a secluded island. There are ceiling fans in every room and additional portable fans if needed. There always seemed to be a nice breeze that kept the house very comfortable. They even had Apple TV! The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals. The refrigerator is huge. There is a Foodland, Safeway, and Costco very close to the house. I recommend the Kona Brewing Company restaurant that is close. It has some brews that are not available on the mainland. Also try Roy's and Town. The tasting menu at both were superb. For activities, the ATV tour at Kualoa Ranch is great. Dolphin Excursions Snorkel Adventure was a hit - swam with dolphins and sea turtles. The hikes at Diamond Head and Manoa Falls result in beautiful pictures. Diamond Head is a little more taxing than Manoa Falls. Be sure to bring water bottles and wear comfortable tennis shoes or hiking shoes. We had a photographer come to the house and take pictures of the family. Very reasonable ($300 for a 40 min or $200 for 20 min session. You get a CD of all pics so you can print what you want) - Nicole at Studio3511. The owner's representative, Nicole, was very informative and easy to work with.
My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to Hawaii. We wanted a place that was away from the crowds at Waikiki. Good: House is right on a very private beach with beautiful views; has lots of room; nicely decorated; comfortable furniture; has washer/dryer; kitchen fully supplied but lacks salt/pepper/sweetner basics; close to major attractions. Note: House is next to a very busy freeway, so with all the windows open, that noise could not be avoided. I wasn't aware that there were 2 other rental apartments in the house, but it wasn't a problem. The dishwasher was broken and emitted a foul odor, but the property manager took care of it as soon as we reported it. We stayed 6 nights but paid for 7 nights because that was the minimum stay when we booked, but right after we booked it, the rental was advertised as a 5-night minimum stay so I wish I had waited to book it. The one A/C unit does not cool, and there was 1 floor fan to help us tolerate the heat when the tradewinds weren't blowing. I recommend that the owner invest in a couple more floor/stick fans for comfort. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the view from the lanai and the closeness to the beach.
Safeway, Costco, 24 Hour Fitness, plus Kahala Mall and Koko Marina Shopping Center are all within 5-10 minutes drive. Great family friendly restaurants like Outback close by as well as upscale dining Roy's in Hawaii Kai.
