Great location, very close to everything!

  • 4 of 5

We loved this cute little studio just a few blocks away from downtown. It was very quiet and easily accessible within walking distance to stores, restaurants, and tourist attractions. Great place to stay for a quick trip or staycation!

Great Property And Owner

  • 5 of 5

First, the owner Jordan was probably the most accommodating VRBO hosts we've ever experienced. He went above and beyond even before we arrived to make our stay convenient and enjoyable and was very responsive with any question or concerns we had once arriving. Expect to get the same customer service here that you would get from a large hotel chain. As for the location, you probably won't find a better price point for the area. As for getting there, It's an easy $2.50 ride on the monorail from the airport to the Providence Park location, and then walk a couple of blocks to the condo. If you drive in, its visible from the exit ramp. One cool trick is we rented a car from Enterprise across the street and Enterprise will let you park the car in their lot at night which is really convenient for a city with limited parking. On foot, you can walk a few blocks one direction to the more quaint neighborhood of

Nob Hill for bars restaurants and shopping, the Pearl District the other direction for the same, as well as all touristy sports downtown. My wife and I easily walked all the way to the waterfront and back for the Saturday Market. The Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are both easy walks to stock up on snacks and food staples. The condo has all the functional appliances you would need. The washer and dryer is convenient if you are limited on how much you can pack. The bed was very comfortable. Yes it's close to the interstate but we didn't even notice the noise. There is a mobile A/C unit that drowns the sound out and also easily regulates the temperature quickly. Yes there are signs of homeless people but no more than any of the most visited tourist sites in the city. The ones near the condo never once made any contact with us and there is enough foot traffic in the area that you never feel unsafe walking around even late at night. We would recommend doing one of the hop on/hop off tours right when you arrive for a ride around the city to orient yourself and take a quick sneak peak of the city. We would certainly stay again.

fine if you're not a light sleeper

  • 5 of 5

Very convenient location, just west of the Pearl district and downtown, walking distance to the park, rose garden, and Timbers/Thorns stadium. Everything was as advertised, with a very comfortable bed. I didn't have a car so can't speak to the parking situation. The only possible negative is that the windows literally overlook the I-405 freeway, so if you're a light sleeper (I'm not) the morning road noise might be a problem for you. Also, the elevator wasn't working during my visit. But recommended overall.

Clean, classic, walkable to Pearl District & waterfront

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was in an elegant older brick building with all new furnishings and amenities. Jordan was accessible for questions, and the in/out/key instructions were easy. Really comfortable apartment and great location to walk to all the sites in Pearl District and Saturday market on waterfront. The neighborhood on the NW side was really cute for cafes, Trader Joes, and restaurants. The nearby freeway was a little loud, but earplugs did the trick. Portland's homeless population cannot go unnoticed. There were some nice, quite people camped along the freeway in view from the apartment. I felt safe walking around by myself at night. One thing to make sure of in this urban environment is that the lids on the garbage dumpsters outside the first floor of the building are closed to avoid any smell drifting up.
