LeBon is cabin that provides all of the comforts of home without the 'noise.' The cabin is somehow intimate and spacious simultaneously. The main entry to the cabin is a mud room/laundry room where guests can stage snow boards, skis, boots, heavy jackets, bathing suits, towels, etc. There are two bunk rooms upstairs, each with three built-in beds and one with an additional, double bed. Leading to the bunk rooms is a loft area that looks down upon the main living space. The loft has a futon couch for sitting. Just off the loft is a full bathroom. Downstairs there is another, newly updated full bathroom as well as two bedrooms, each with a double bed.

About Dan and Michelle Bonnin
The property was purchased in 1966 by two couples: Peggy and Al Lepore (Le), and Jo and Bob Bonnin (Bon). Construction of the cabin was completed in 1968. The French phrase, Le Bon, translates into English as 'The Good.' The Lepores and Bonnins between them had seven children, and now a dozen grandchildren also enjoy the pleasures of quiet, simple vacationing in the mountains above Lake Tahoe. For decades, friends of Le Bon have revisited the cabin annually, and the family/owners continue to maintain and upgrade the cabin so that the children, grandchildren, old friends and new visitors will continue to enjoy it for decades into the future.

When the Lepores and Bonnins bought the land it was thick with young trees and had beautiful, unobstructed views of the Lake. Even today, with houses built across the street, Lake Tahoe is still visible and beautiful from the deck, the living room and the front bedrooms of the cabin. Tahoe Park Heights Drive and Big Pine Drive are wide, paved and well-maintained roads that provide reliable, easy access to Le Bon throughout the year. The property is within easy walking distance to Page Meadows' trailheads, and just a short drive or mile-long walk to the beautiful, private beach and recreation area. Sunnyside Lodge and Resort (can rent boats and paddle boards or enjoy a lakeside meal or drinks) is next door to the private beach, and Tahoe City is a brief, 3-mile drive. Skiing at Homewood Mountain Resort is less than 6 miles to the south on Highway 89, and the turnoffs for Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are about 15 minutes to the north on Highway 89. Nearby, Tahoe City is a small stretch along Northlake Blvd that is loaded with bars, restaurants and retail outlets. Speaking of outlets, Truckee has a retail outlet center and is only about 25 minutes along Highway 89 North from LeBon. In short, this property is located for easy access to a wide variety of outdoor adventure, drinking and dining, shopping, and relaxing opportunities.

Summer Family Vacation in Lake Tahoe
Well equipped and well maintained home. The location offered easy access to lakeside activities and stores.
Great cabin for large groups
This is a great cabin for large groups. Cabin is very well planned out with large dining table and and additional sitting area for lots of people. Cabin does not have TV and when we visited no internet but that's the way a cabin should be! We played cards and board games with the kids and not even the three teenagers complained very much after the initial disappointment. Also the hosts are terrific! We had a couple of snags but Dan was very gracious about it and even let us reschedule last minute due to a very bad storm that prevented us from going up the original weekend we had booked. You will not get that if you book non owner operated cabins. We are season pass holders to Homewood and have been in three different cabins this season and this is our favorite one. We bought season passes to a different resort next year but if we ever need a cabin in this area again we would definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Great for family with small children!
My family and two other families, a total of 12 people, enjoyed renting this cabin two times during the winter snow season. The rooms with bunks worked out perfectly for all of the kids to enjoy a sleepover, having two bathrooms was excellent, and the living/dining/kitchen area being open to each other made it very easy to enjoy spending time together. The children slept soundly upstairs while parents made plenty of noise downstairs, with no interruption to their beauty sleep! The property around the home is spacious and lovely and we enjoyed playing out in the snow. The home is a short drive down to the conveniences offered in Tahoe City and very close to some great sledding areas.
On behalf of the LeBon crew, I thank you for sharing your groups' experiences at the cabin. It's gratifying to know that our renters enjoy the place as much as we do. Hopefully, your families will make it an annual.

Absolutely no smoking anywhere on the LeBon property. Guests staying at LeBon have card key access to the LTPA Private Beach. Just 1.5 miles from the cabin, this beautiful recreation area is right next door to Sunnyside Resort with its watersport rental selection, spectacular lakefront deck, bar and restaurant. The LTPA Beach includes a large stretch of rock beachfront, two piers, private picnic areas with BBQ pits, horseshoe pits and shoes, a basketball half court, a sand volleyball court, clean restrooms, compressed air hose for rapid filling of your inflatables, nearby grocery store and more. River rafting on the Truckee is a memorable, summertime, family friendly adventure. The Truckee River provides an easy float from Tahoe City to a deep pool terminal at The River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant with just a small stretch of rapids at the very end. The Lake Tahoe area has innumerable trails for hiking and exploring the pristine, mountain environment.
