This place was great. The property was extremely clean and well appointed with with anything you would need! The photos provide an accurate picture of the property. Also in a great location; although you do need to drive to get to stores and restaurants. The house was in a beautiful setting and hearing the water below was an added bonus!!! It was a very peaceful setting and the hiking trail along the tuolomne water ditch was superb. We took a nice hike just about every morning. Gary was great with directions and information and was an added touch having Tom,one of the neighbors, available for any immediately e needs. Would HIGHLY recommend this property if you want a clean, tranquil, beautiful place. We've rented many homes and this was top notch. Thanks Gary for sharing and being easy to work with.

We stayed in Sonora for two nights and everyone was amazed and impressed by the cabin. The amenities was more than you could ask for and the stay was very comfortable. We already have plans on coming back next year.
We had a fantastic time in Sonora at Gary and Anne's home. High ceilings, comfy couches, surround sound, and a crackling fireplace made the living room the heart of our stay after a long day of hiking.
Out back, the deck wraps encircles the entire rear of the house, and provides ample space for a full group to look out above the trees at the bucket of stars overhead.
The only thing we couldn't figure out (three engineers included -- go figure) was where to find the breaker for the hot tub. We followed the electrical line to and thought it might be in the basement (which was locked), but we never did find it. Make sure you find out before you go -- it would be a great way to end a hike!
Protip: the house and driveway are on steep decline, so we found it easier to back into the driveway with both cars.
We stayed in February 2016, and the home looked as lovely as advertised! Large windows in the living/dining area let in lots of natural light. The couch in the living area is extremely cozy and even has a recline option. The entertainment center has cable with tons of channels, and the sound system surrounds the entire room, providing great acoustics for music or movies. The kitchen has all necessary equipment and a very effective gas range for putting together a nice dinner. There were 8 of us (two families of four), and there were plenty of sleeping areas. The home also has a nice creek in the back - a short jaunt down the road leads to a nice nature trail that runs alongside that creek. Gary (the owner) was easy to contact and friendly to communicate. We highly recommend a stay here!
We came here to celebrate Christmas with our family and had an amazing time! It definitely helped that it had snowed more than a foot before we arrived, turning the area into a winter wonderland. The kids loved sledding in the long driveway and playing in the snow followed by coming in to warm up by the fire. The adults loved the big picture windows that looked out onto the woods and the creek. If you do go in winter, bring your snow chains and prepare for some slick roads, but it is perfectly safe if you drive smart. The owner of the place was great in staying in touch (even on Christmas Day) and he had Tom the neighbor come by and shovel the walk for us before we got there. The house itself is fantastic. We had 5 adults and 3 teenagers and we filled the place up perfectly. The kids loved sleeping in the loft area upstairs. All of the appliances and furniture are really nice and in good shape (reclining leather couches are a nice touch). I personally found our stay here to be very peaceful and rejuvenating. I spent the early mornings sitting by the fire, reading the Bible and praying while looking out the windows at the beauty of nature. It was a great place to spend the holidays and we have no regrets!
We had a party of 3 couples to celebrate my wife's birthday. The cabin was very clean and organized. Great kitchen with a lot of space to cook and very well stocked with all utensils. Beds and couches were very comfortable. I felt we had all the comforts of home. The hot tub was ready for our use when we got there. Beautiful setting in the forrest with the dining room facing huge windows to look out. This cabin really made all of us very relaxed. Owner Gary made sure all our needs were met beyond our expectations. Neighbor Tom was also there to help if we needed. There is a Safeway not far away for our grocery needs. We went to Pinecrest Lake, fairly close, and enjoyed an afternoon of hanging out at the beach.
I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin. We all had a wonderful, relaxing stay. We are looking forward to renting again. Thanks so much Gary!
We had a great stay here during the July 4th weekend. The property was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very professional, he was in touch with us regularly to make sure that our stay was going smooth. My kids loved this home and they had a great time too ! Thank You Gary ..!
