I loved everything about it
I loved it and the place was so beautiful and I would love to go back again I came home and all I could think about was the place I stayed and how beautiful it was I’m ready to go back again
Cute to the point of being a very charming and certainly a calming place.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin, we read, walked, rode on the parkway and just existed in a very happy state. It rained for two of the three days we stayed and it did not matter. This place is truly a happy place which takes all of your concerns and cares away. We were very relaxed and happy at this cabin. Look forward to returning in the future, maybe in the spring. Thank you for sharing. Candy and Jimmie McLamb
Only bad thing was hot tub was dirty and unable to use. No WiFi at cabin
The hot tub has been inoperable for years and therefore has never been listed on the site as an amenity. WiFi is also not listed as an amenity.
Otherwise, we're so glad you loved the house. We hope you'll come back soon and stay with us again. Thank you for your feedback.
Great Place to stay, just right for our small group.
Ideal location for our Weekend in Boone. Coffee in the morning on the porch while listening to the creek rushing by was very peaceful. Cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Very comfortable for the three of us and our son loved having the entire upstairs to himself. We will definitely like to come for another stay in the future.
Charming but deceiving
We rented this house for a long weekend with family to visit Thomas and The Tweetsie Railroad. Upon first glance the house is a super cute traditional cabin on the side of a mountain overlooking a beautiful river but we soon realized the house was not up to our expectations. The home had not been deep cleaned in a while almost like it had been shut up for the winter and not spring cleaned. Bugs, spiders, and spider webs were everywhere as well as huge dust bunnies on the floor and the walls. The refrigerator had defrosted and a large semi frozen puddle of water was in the bottom of it under the drawers. One of the twin beds did not have clean sheets. We found towels in the cabinet that were put away dirty. The chair in the upstairs bathroom only has a cushion and not a base, so when you sit on it, you will fall through. The bed coverings and some of the sheets were stained and need to be replaced. The half bath toilet had a brown ring in the bowl...disgusting to our three year old potty training toddlers. The house is listed as air conditioned but for the three level house, there's only one small window unit, and it's on the top floor. The main floor and bottom (basement) are much warmer. While cooking dinner, my husband and I were sweating profusely and this made dinner and anything afterwards very uncomfortable. When we used the waster and dryer in the basement, it made the bottom level a lot warmer as well. We had the windows open and every fan running but at times, the temperature in the house was miserable. Not all the windows could be opened, and most of them were covered with more bugs and spider webs. The accessibility to the river is difficult. If you have any mobility impairment issues, it's impossible. The hot tub was not working. No hammock was available. On the main walking path, we found a broken glass from the kitchen on one of the decks. It had shattered everywhere. Many light bulbs needed to be replaced. The basement level outside seating needs to be replaced. The cushions have huge holes in them and are not able to be used.
The house is so cute and the area is beautiful but the lack of cleanliness was a major disappointment. The house needs attention to the things that renters use a lot. If these areas were fixed, this home would be absolutely perfect!
Wonderful, cabin life! Each sleep area was private and inviting. Creek down below is wonderful!
Thank you for the wonderful cabin experience! We had a lovely cabin Christmas and look forward to future visits! Blessings!! The Tewson family
