Overview

About the property

Fantastic Spot! Much better than a hotel room. Plus the property! Win! Win!

This is an amazing, Swiss Chalet style cabin. The property is literally on the San Juan River. Walk right from the front porch out to great fishing spots. Sleep like a baby with the river sounds all night long. Full services except for a washer and dryer. One Bedroom upstairs with queen bed and fold out queen bed in livingroom. Fireplace, 3/4 bath, full but small kitchen, dish TV, high speed internet, phone, BBQ grill, additional bait and beer fridge on porch, fire pit, etc... RV Hook-up available.

The cute cabin has a covered porch and has an upper sun deck that overlooks the river and valley. It's a small cabin but very homie and efficient. Shower, sink and toilet in adorable bathroom.

Outside there is a fire pit, horseshoe pits, lawn areas, cottonwood trees. Have a bbq on the paved pad, sitting at one of the picnic tables, and enjoy the sound of the river. Just gorgeous! The fishing is amazing in the San Juan as well. Also a great Bait and Tackle place called Fisheads within walking distance. They have a restaurant which is fantastic as well.

Extra charge for RV hook-ups.

Four night minimum. Week preferred.

Deposits made at time of Reservation.

Contact owner/manager for Cancelation Policy.

Pets accepted on a case by case basis and a payment will be required in the amount of $50 if owner agrees to allow. Contact the owner about paying the pet fee and/or the RV and camping charges...

Thank you very much!

About Richard Johnson (Ritch)

Our family purchased the cabin in '94 and have fixed it up to the cute lil cabin on the river you see today. We love this spot! We think you will enjoy and love it as much as we do.

We love our a-frame, Gingerbread or Swiss Chalet as some have called it. The cabin is the best spot on the river, an amazing spot! We think you will think so too!

Richard Johnson (Ritch) purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Richard Johnson (Ritch) chose New Mexico

Most beautiful spot on the river.

Reason enough!

So many wins! Great fishing just steps from the cabin, BBQ, picnic tables, fire pit, horseshoes and pits, grassed yards, huge trees, space to breathe, private and enclosed property, the hummingbirds, deer and other wildlife galore!

Last renter guy spotted a Bobcat the other day!

What makes this cabin unique

Fully set up and comfy Cabin; your own private property on the river. Need I say more?

Views, sounds, fishing, wildlife, peace and quiet, etc... Short drive to the fun of the lake. Bring your boat and toys or rent them at the marina. Boating, float fishing, fly and standard fishing, tubing the river, jet skiing, dirt bikes, ATV's, four wheeling, exploring ancient sites, and more, more, more.....

Fantastic!

I'm sitting on the covered and screened in porch, writing this description. I'm listening to the river, some music and the camp fire in the fire pit crackling away.

Great place for fisherman

  • 5 of 5

Property is located at the end of the road right on the river. Quiet spot with a beautiful view. Cabin is nice, clean and has everything you could need. You can fish the river from the cabin, non-quality waters, or it is a short drive to all access points on the quality waters. Not to mention it is close to Abe's, Fisheads, and Float N' Fish. Great spot for dogs with a fully fenced yard.

Small home right on the river, a bit small for three of us

But we were there to fish so it was fine. Small kitchen but

Well stocked. Coffee maker, microwave, stove, oven, pots pans,

Utensils etc. all in working order. Great yard on the river with

Pick nick bench, fire pit, BBQ.

I would stay again.

Loved it! Everything we could have hoped for and more!

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin was so cute. The greatest location for fishing right outside the gate. Deer strolling by was wonderful to see! Hummingbirds and flowers out the window were so beautiful. Everything you need is there except the food. Pots and pans, sheets and blankets, air conditioning and even wifi. We had no cell service but there is a home phone that works. I called the owner from it once, long distance, using the provided calling card. He was so nice. There is a barbecue, tiki lamps, swings and horseshoes to play in the good sized yard. Firewood provided as well. Navajo Lake State Park is not far. There is a couple restaurants, a bar and convenience store up the road with plenty of bait and tackle. The whole place is fenced in an feels secure. No garbage service however. This is a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend it!

Rest relax= fish n happiness

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four adults enjoyed our stay. The cabin is cozy and has all the basics you need. We used the propane grill outside and had a campfire every evening. We had plenty of linens, blankets,. The kitchen area is small but sufficent.

Our favorite part was the fact that the river was right outside our door. Fishing was good. We hope to stay here again someday.
