Boquete View House! Walk to Downtown!

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,000 sq. ft.
Property type bungalow
Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

3 bd/1ba with stunning views. Specializing in comfort with experienced hosts.

Completely remodeled and newly furnished. Quiet neighborhood up the hill from downtown. 3 bed/1 bath house is just a 5-7 minute walk to central Boquete. Sweeping view of boquete valley. Granite countertops custom stone tile in bath, stainless steel fridge. The home has two queen sized beds in the first two bedrooms. 3rd bedroom has bunk bed with full size bed below and twin size bed on top bunk. Two flat screen TV's (living and master) with cable and high speed internet. Master suite has a "smart" TV. Full size washer / dryer in separate laundry room. Front and rear patios. 450 gallon back up water tank - just in case city water goes out. Several acres of land used for growing vegetables. Don't miss out on all the activities in town- save on car rental and enjoy this centrally located home for your vacation. Within a very short walking distance: Boquete Brewing Company, Art Cafe', Panamonte' Inn, Town Square and other amenities.

We also want to let you know that Panama is a developing country undergoing a transformation as it modernizes it's infrastructure. Boquete is also impacted by this construction as it seeks to add new water/sewer lines. While our street has been "finished" earlier this year- they did add gravel to our road so it is a steep and slow climb up in any vehicle. We strongly advise renting an SUV if you choose to rent a car in Boquete. Lot's of potholes about town & many unpaved roads.. Also- all the construction tends to rile up the neighborhood dogs which exist EVERYWHERE in Boquete. Including our street. They do bark -sometimes at odd hours. We have included a sound dampening machine and new ear plugs if needed. This also helps with the rooster's that crow in Boquete every morning early. :-).

About Brett Korsgaard

We used to live in Panama and consider it our 2nd home. We visit with our family as often as we can and consider Boquete our favorite place in Panama.

Brett Korsgaard purchased this bungalow in 2013

Why Brett Korsgaard chose Panama

This home is a traditional home in a quiet neighborhood right above downtown boquete. The home has been meticulously renovated to provide modern amenities and comforts. New bedding and 400 thread count sheets make your stay especially comfortable. Walk to dining options at the Art Cafe', Sugar & Spice, La Posada, Retrogusto, Boquete Brewing company or the Panamonte inn. Enjoy the beautiful view of the valley below.

What makes this bungalow unique

We fell in love with the home because it has such a great floor plan. Single story and with open kitchen that looks out over the boquete valley. We love that we can walk to the Boquete Brewing Company, The Art Cafe', The Panamonte' Inn, the main square and other dining options without calling a cab. Also, we are able to offer reliable high speed internet because of our proximity to downtown. The home features two new flatscreen TV's (one is a smart TV for internet as well).

Lovely Home with Amazing View

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Boquete. It was quite obvious that the owner Brett and the property managers Donn and Andrea take pride in the home, as it was very clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The house has a stunning view and a gentle breeze passing through, keeping a perfect temperature. The kitchen was not the typical hodgepodge of dishes and utensils, but actually held practical items and matching sets of dishes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom rivaled a bathroom in the US. The washer and dryer were a godsend since we were determined to hike, even in the rain. The welcome basket was a very pleasant surprise, as were the other touches like ample/fluffy towels, nightlights, bottle opener, cold medicine, bottled water, sealed/odor preventing trashcans, an umbrella. . . Yes, we were in a third world country, but these additions gave us a little touch of home. Donn and Andrea were extremely knowledgeable about the home and the area and provided so much helpful information. They were very prompt in responding to any questions we had and obviously delight in being helpful. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Truly charming house and fantastic location with attentive owner and caretakers

  • 5 of 5

While in Panama City, Panama visiting family in August, we decided to make a quick trip to Boquete, a small wonderful town in Chiriqui Province where I used to vacation with my family during summer breaks growing up in Panama.

Brett's listing immediately caught our attention! The house is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the center of town, with easy access to restaurants, pharmacy, groceries and multiple activities. Our stay could not have been more perfect! The caretakers, Don and Andrea, were easily accessible via phone, email and WhatsApp. When we arrived at the house it was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a welcoming basket with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. We traveled with two teenagers; this house was the perfect size for a group/family of 4-5 people, never feeling crowded and providing sufficient space for all, with comfortable bedrooms, views of the mountains, a nice patio and a beautiful yard. A note to light sleepers: Boquete has always been an agricultural town with people connected to the coffee plantations, families escaping the heat from David on weekends, and regular folks going about their normal routine. It is a REAL village where you may hear roosters early in the morning, dogs barking at night, and children chatting on their way to or from school. The host thoughtfully added a noise canceling machine to the master bedroom, but for us closing the windows worked just fine one particular night, and it did not detract from the wonderful experiences we had during our stay.

I strongly recommend Brett's house in Boquete and would not hesitate to book a stay in the future.

Nice and Relaxing Stay

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The scenery was beautiful and the house was very clean and comfortable. When we first arrived I was a little worried about the walk to the town and shopping area but we decided to give it a try and it really wasn't as far as it first seemed. The trip back to the house is a little harder because it's mainly up-hill but it is still very doable. However they provide you with the numbers of taxi drivers that are very nice and fair price. The restaurants were all very good. We really liked eating breakfast and lunches at the Sugar and Spice cafe. I would recommend this property.

Bill & Jill's Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our 30 day stay @ this home in Boquete. Donn & Andrea are very helpful. The house is furnished nicely. We especially liked relaxing on the back porch and watching the neighbor's chickens whom we named for their individual looks and personalities. The main bedroom has a large office area and walk-in closet, tho the other 2 bedrooms do not have closet space. Two comfy sofas in the living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all.

Great house to stay in Boquete!

  • 4 of 5

Donn and Andrea the managers were very helpful and supplied us with everything we needed when requested. We met them at an agreed meeting place which was very close by the rental house and they even drove with us to the Boquete Outdoor Adventure office where we had booked a tour and were in a hurry to make it in time. They stayed in touch with us via Whatsapp which worked out great. The dogs barked some nights and the roosters get up earlier there but that is typical in Boquete and we needed earplugs which they provided us the next day, as well as hand soap that was running out and extra toilet paper have just in case, even if we didn't need it. The house looks exactly as shown in the pictures, and the beds were very comfortable which is important for me. My son slept on the bunk bed. The kitchen has everything you need, the shower is very nice and had always hot water which is not a given in Boquete. They recommended the cell phone company done the road where I bought a SIM card which came in handy for phone calls as well as for my GPS app which always brought me to the right place, especially on the way back to the airport in David because there are absolutely no street signs. You don't need a car in Boquete but if you want to explore other places or drive the scenic routes it's nice to have to be independent otherwise you will have to get a taxi each time. Nice feature is also the washer and dryer which makes it easy to pack light. They have a booklet with restaurant suggestions and activities which comes in handy. My recommendation is to book your activities before you visit Boquete, so you don't waste any time while you are there because some tours are booked out solid. Absolutely, a must do is zip lining, it was a blast. Also make sure you get directions from the airport to Boquete otherwise you might end up at the Costa Rica border as it happend to us because the guy at the car rental gave us the wrong directions and there are no signs.

I would stay there again. The only thing that I have to complain about is the bottom cover of the shower that has a bump in the metal that hurts your foot if you stand on it as well has the bathroom door handle which has a sharp edge where I cut my finger on it (might be just me being unlucky to grab the knob the wrong way). Thank you again.
