As you drive through the Kristmont Acres neighborhood in Lodi's wine country, and you arrive at your destination, you enter through the garden gate which leads you through a private landscaped courtyard along a path to the Garden Cottage. Whether you are on a weekly business trip, visiting family or friends, or are in Lodi to enjoy any of our special wine events, the Garden Cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a quiet place to unwind. The cottage is detached from the main house which allows complete privacy. Looking out through the French doors you will see a beautifully landscaped yard with mature trees and foliage.
Kristmont Acres is a lovely area for morning or evening walks. Lodi Lake is within walking distance and provides kayak rentals for a beautiful paddle on the Mokelumne River where you will spot an abundance of wildlife.
The Garden Cottage is within a few blocks of the Lodi Visitor's Center and Wine Trail which will direct you to more than 60 wineries. You may also want to visit our beautiful downtown with an abundance of restaurants, charming tasting rooms, and boutiques.
For those who enjoy music, plan on spending a Saturday evening mid-June through late August at Jessie's Grove for their Groovin' in the Grove concert series or Abundance Vineyards Summer Concert Series that runs May through September. Just bring a picnic dinner, sit on the grass, and enjoy live music with a bottle of their wine. (See their websites for details).
Kristmont Acres is located on the desirable west side of Lodi and is within walking distance to a beautiful full-service grocery store which includes a bakery, full-service deli, and pharmacy.
We stayed 5 nights. We found the cottage ideal. It is well layed out, clean and perfect for 2 people. Our hosts Ken and Colleen were both very welcoming and they had a local bottle of wine and cheeze waiting for us. Very nice touch. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to family and friends. Alex and Wendy Hinsperger. Thetis Island British Columbia.
Stayed for 12 days and everything met my needs and was very comfortable I would recommend for one or two individuals.
My husband and I spent a lovely long weekend in the cottage. It was everything it was advertised to be and then some. The cottage was extremely well furnished with everything we needed including wine, cheese and coffee! The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Lodi is a great wine country town, even though it isn't as widely publicized as Napa and Sonoma. We give the cottage the highest marks!
This one-bedroom property, tucked into a suburban neighborhood, is private and cozy for a couple. It is near a grocery and couple of small restaurants, but a distance from Lodi's downtown and wine touring center. The sitting room has nice light, with French doors that open out onto the owners' pool/jacuzzi. These, however, were quite cool when we visited in early Fall, and thus not inviting to use. There is cable TV with many channels, including movie channels, as well as a basket of brochures for local and nearby attractions. The bed is comfy and the bath is updated. All was clean and tidy. We were welcomed upon arrival, despite the fact that we arrived late evening, and found a bottle of local wine and some munchies set out for us. Thank you Colleen and Ken. A very nice, reasonably-priced option for a couple touring the wineries or visiting relatives.
I've stayed here multiple times while on business. It is a lovely, well-appointed one bedroom with a number of amenities. I look forward to visiting whenever I come to town.
Overall, this was exactly what I had hoped for. I was in town for a disc golf competition, so I needed comfort, calm and space to reflect after each round...the pool was a bonus. The bed was cozy and my caddie said the new foldout couch/bed was comfortable to sleep on as well. So, it was compete, swim, drink wine...repeat. Ken was a gracious and polite host. We felt very welcomed. Good spot to stay, and the competition was a success!
