About the property

Aloha and welcome to Kahala at Poipu Kai located on the Southern shore of Kauai! Our nonsmoking, one bedroom/1 bathroom third floor condo is outfitted with you, our guest, in mind! Bright, cheerful tropical colors, high open beam ceilings with fans, and newer furniture (including a queen sleeper sofa) provide an ideal living space inside, while the private lanai offers a relaxing view of the garden below during your morning coffee or evening drink. The fully equipped, open kitchen offers the conveniences of home including newer appliances, dinnerware, a variety of cookware and basic cooking condiments should you choose to cook and dine in. In the bedroom, air-conditioning is available for an additional daily fee. We also provide initial paper products and basic cleaning detergents for your added convenience. In the garden below, a gas grill is also available for use. For your enjoyment, flat screen TV’s, including DVD players, are located in the living area and bedroom. High-speed wireless Internet is complimentary. In the spacious bedroom, a king size bed awaits you after an amazing day on the island. Located in the bathroom, find a double sink vanity, a separate shower/tub and a washer/dryer for use as needed. A single, parking space (no charge) is available just outside the entryway.

We are centrally located within the beautiful and lush grounds of the Poipu Kai resort. After a brief walk through the greenbelt, your first destination is the world famous Brenneke beach located at the eastern end of Poipu Beach Park. Continuing through the park is Poipu Beach, ranked among the best beaches in the world, and an ideal location for swimming, snorkeling, or laying back and relaxing with your favorite novel! Near the Grand Hyatt, Shipwreck beach awaits you for additional fun and relaxation. While staying with us, we provide our guests with a beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards and other limited beach items for use.

The Poipu Shopping Village with a variety of restaurants and shops is located with a short walk or brief drive, while historic Koloa is a short drive offering additional dining (we highly recommend the Fish Market for lunch!), shops and grocery options. Nearby, the Grand Hyatt and Sheraton resorts also offer additional dining venues.

Thanks for the lovely stay! The condo was fabulous. Close to great restaurants (we loved the Beach House!), shops (Living Market was wonderful for breakfast, coffee and gourmet groceries) and beaches. We went on the Holo Holo Charter Tour of the Napli Coast for a day. The trip included snorkeling near Niihau Island were we saw dolphins, turtles, seals and even a whale. We totally recommend the trip to others. Thanks again for the wonderful accommodations, we'd love to return.

All in All a Great Stay at Kahala Poipu Kai - Thank you!

We spent 9 days on this property and really enjoyed it. The unit was clean, efficiently stocked for its guests and conveniently located near popular beaches. We especially appreciated the amenities left for our use. We made one trip to the local market for meals and never needed to go back for supplies (which were often missing in other units we’ve rented such as sugar, coffee filters, lotion, garbage bags, TP and spices). The unit was well stocked in the kitchen and for beach activities.

Like others, we were surprised to find the unit was so close to the road, however it was also very close to the beach. The traffic sounds did not keep us awake. The king size bed was a good feature but was way too soft for my husband. He had to sleep on the couch - hence the 4.5 rating.

Regarding the lack of AC – we found the fans adequate during our hot stay but saw we could have the AC turned on for a fee if we needed it. This was not mentioned in the comments above.

All in all, we loved our stay in Kahala at Poipu Kai and enjoyed the beautiful view of the garden off the deck. Thanks for listing it!

Nice WYSIWYG Condo!

(At first, I apologize my poor English.)

WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get".

I had ever reserved the condominiums at VRBO about three times or more.

Every time I arrived the condominium which I had reserved, I felt any differences between these photographs in VRBO and real unit.

In any case, rooms in the photographs are better than real one.

But, photographs of this unit's are not different from real one.

You will be able to stay the unit what you see now in VRBO.

This unit is sophisticatedly furnished by any modern art works.

We have spend comfortable vacation.

The only thing what I must say to you is about this unit's location.

This unit's portal is located at 2nd floor.

And all the rooms of this unit are located at 3rd floor.

So you have to carry your baggage from ground floor to 3rd floor by using stairway.

Our baggage were very heavy, so we have struggled to carrying those to our bedroom.

But we will choose this unit again when we come to Kauai-Isle.

We love this unit.

You should decide:-)

ただ一つお伝えすべきコトがあります。

このユニットの玄関は建物の2階にあります。

そしてすべての部屋は3階にあります。

つまり、あなたは自分たちの荷物を1階から3階まで階段で運ぶ必要があるのです。

私たちの荷物はとても重かったので、それらをベッドルームに運ぶのに苦労しました。

しかし、次回カウアイ島を訪れるときにも私たちはこの部屋を選びます。

私たちはこの部屋が大好きです。

あなたも、ここに泊まるべきですよ。:-)

Perfect location

We are very familiar with the poipu area and knew this would be a perfect location. Building 9 sometimes is said to have 'traffic noise'. We rarely noticed the traffic. The unit was perfect for my husband and I. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed the layout of the unit. The beach supplies were in excellent condition. The view from the deck was outstanding. The deck furniture may need a little up dating. The pool area had recently been refurbished. Barbecue's maintained daily. Steps into unit may be difficult for elderly. Will for sure rent from Frank again.

A wonderful location!

A perfect condo for a 2 week March stay! Rooster alarm clock, beautiful bird songs and quiet neighbors. Designated parking and plenty of beach gear. Walk to Poipu and see monk seals and turtles plus fish too many to mention. Car traffic noise was not an issue at all! Frank Yates and Kauai rep were easy to work with. Aloha!

Great holiday stay !

Everything we needed and more, well stocked, spices, tea, coffee, lots of unexpected bonuses. Very comfy bedroom. The condo was very clean when we arrived. Nice to have the bonus beach supplies. Parking was easy and close by. The grounds are very well taken care of. Hot tub was great. We would love to stay here again.

We have only three recommendations new pots and pans the silicon is peeling badly and the fan in bathroom is really loud and the ceiling fans need a dusting.

It is a wonderful place to stay!
