Overview

About the property

3 bedroom, 2 Bath, Lakeside View

All Mainers call their summer home on the lake 'Camp', if on the Ocean it is a 'Cottage'.

Our Camp can be lived in year round, it is on a full foundation and has a furnace.

The camp was built before a setback was required so the living room is just a few feet from the water and provides unique views of School House Cove and out onto the lake. The camp is so close to the water you can literally see fish swimming in the lake from the living room!

The Camp has a master bedroom en suite upstairs with a queen size bed, the bath has a large shower and double sinks. Down stairs on the main level are 2 more bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with bunkbeds. The living room has a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams a beautiful built in wood burning fireplace, new carpeting and 3 new couches.

What makes this cabin unique

Watch a pair of Loons glide across the cove through the early morning mist while hearing their melodic calls echo over the crystal clear lake.

Across the cove the Bald Eagle sits in the tallest Pine waiting to catch a fish to feed her brood.

The Lake is spring fed, 5 miles long 1 mile wide and is so clear you can literally see the fish swim.

Perfect End-of-Summer Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 had a fabulous time at Camp Sunrise! The camp had everything we needed and more for a fun Maine vacation - outdoor/water gear (kayaks, life vests, water toys), internet & tv, indoor games & books etc. The house is clean and spacious and literally every amenity we could think of was provided. Linda was just a couple of doors down and a quick phone call away. We liked the cove location and the water at Beech Hill Pond is crystal clear! We can't wait to go back again!!

Peaceful Solitude

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet place to chill out and relax with our family and a few friends, and Camp Sunrise exceeded all our expectations. The water was pristine and crystal clear and we spent several hours splashing and swimming. The ducks made a daily visit. The loons made their music. The bald eagle swept down close to shore. Located on a quiet dead end road and on a peaceful cove, the location could not have been better. We had a great time. The property is well maintained and the amenities are great. We could not ask for better hosts than Linda and Steve. We cannot wait for a return stay.

Lake Comfort and Convenience

  • 5 of 5

Our party of four adults enjoyed Camp Sunrise for the well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and terrific lakefront setting. The on top kayaks are very easy to get into and off and us seniors had a ball.

Acadia and Bangor are 45 minutes away. This vacation was very memorable for us.

A true vacation spot in Vacationland!

  • 5 of 5

We are originally from Maine, so we know that there's no better time to visit than in the summer, and no better place to be than on the lake. Especially to escape the 100+ degree heat we get in Texas this time of year. I'm so glad we decided to rent Camp Sunrise as it made our trip back home that much more enjoyable! Everything was provided for us except for food, although they provided us with some condiments and even stuff for s'mores! And we enjoyed using the kayaks they also provided as the camp is located in a cove where the water looked like glass most mornings! And Beech Hill Pond has always been one of our favorite lakes in the area given the size, water quality, and it's proximity to Bangor and Bar Harbor (a must every time we're home). We were overrun with ducks some days, but that didn't stop us from getting to enjoy the perfect weather on the large deck or the swing on the dock. It was our son's first time in Maine so Camp Sunrise will always have a special place in our memories!

Camp Sunrise represents Maine's motto

  • 5 of 5

Maine's motto is the "way life should be" and Camp Sunrise truly represents that with being warm, welcoming and peaceful. The small details at the lake house made the visit that more pleasant such as smores ready to make in the fire and chance to kayak with loons in the morning. Camp Sunrise was the perfect place for a first timer to experience the wonderful state of Maine and live the state's motto, the way life should be.
