Ocean breezes stream through this well-appointed beach cottage on picturesque Isle of Palms (IOP) beach. With its open floor plan and comfortable furniture, this four bedroom beach house easily accommodates groups.

The light, open living space allows your family and friends to gather together while unwinding from the surf and sand. Relax with a drink on the sun porch, watch the sun set over the (peak-a-boo) view of the ocean from the large deck, then enjoy your supper outside in the shade of the live oaks and palm trees. This is low country living at its best. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals (and a gas grill outside); but with the restaurant options of Sullivan’s Island, Shem Creek and Charleston only minutes away, who wants to bother with cooking?

Each of the upstairs bedrooms has its own two-piece bathroom (sink/toilet) with access to a shared shower. Downstairs are two additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom (shower only). The colorful “kids” room offers three (3) twins and space for the included pack-n-play. The “Full” room includes two (2), full-size beds and an internet TV with Netflix and Wii.

Down the hall and through the mudroom, you enter the garage; stocked with laundry, foosball table and tons of beach gear (toys, jogging stroller, chairs, cart and more). Pull open the doors and it is just steps to the sand. Only three houses away (no roads to cross), is access to one of the least populated stretches of the magnificent Isle of Palms beach. You can pack a cooler and stay all day, reassured that you can easily run home to grab anything you might forget. With tidal pools, dolphins, dunes, deep beaches, and pink sunsets, you simply cannot ask for more.

NO SMOKING. This is a family friendly house. We do not allow loud house parties or rentals for 'guys party weekends'. Well behaved dogs considered*.

Why Brooke Cohn chose Charleston Area

Isle of Palms is unquestionably the best beach in the Charleston area and this house is SO close to the beach. We love open layout of the living space, but appreciate the dual floor bedroom/bath areas for privacy with larger groups.

What makes this house unique

The Northern end of IOP is quiet and uncrowded, but the beaches are incredible. It is so easy to get downtown to some of the best restaurants and shopping in the Southeast, but you have access to the natural beauty of the beach.

We were excited to have an opportunity to stay at C's by the Sea over Christmas break and could not have had a better family vacation. The beach was much closer than the VRBO listing implies - our 18 month old was able to walk the entire way while carrying a shovel and bucket! We bundled up in rain boots and jackets and played for hours on the beach. The best part was that we were able to bring our black Lab, who played on the beach with us. We love the beach in the off season when all of the locals are out walking and playing with their dogs. C's by the Sea is also a very comfortable home for when we wanted to come inside and have family movie night or play games. The house is well stocked with games and toys and we liked being able to stream netflix for movies and kid shows. This house is also a huge value and all of the neighbors have beautiful homes and yards. We could see the ocean pretty well from the front deck but I would wonder if the palm trees would hide it more during the summer?

We also love how close it is to the Sea Biscuit cafe... our favorite breakfast place in all of Charleston! We will definitely be back to C's by the Sea!

Amazing Park located at Rec Center off of 29th avenue - the playground is like nothing you have ever seen before! Also includes soccer fields, baseball field, tennis and basketball.

Cutest beach cottage

We had a fantastic time at C's by the Sea. The house was great. There was plenty of space for a group of girls and so close to the beach. The owner was wonderful to work and communicate with and made sure our stay ran as smooth as possible. Wish we had longer to spend here!

Perfect Isle of Palms location

This charming house is ideal for two families. We had kids downstairs and adults on the main level. Great room for meal times. Safe street with no traffic and just a few homes walk to the beach.

Favorite spot we have stayed and we love the pet friendly aspect.

Charleston, SC beautiful beach hideaway

A very comfortable home on a quite dead end street just a short walk to the beach on Isle of Palms and a short drive to downtown Charleston. Four couples and three small children under the age of 6 enjoyed our time immensely though it was cut short by hurricane Mathew. Our host was very empathetic and concerned for our safety and if we had a place to go. Communication was terrific and they were kind enough to reimburse our entire stay in hope that we would return on our next vacation, which we plan to do! There were many neat bistros and eateries nearby, as well as a community center with exercise equipment for our use and a nice play ground for the kids. There is a nice outdoor shower which was wonderful to rinse off the sand from the beach and give our two pups a wash down. Nice yard to play boce ball and swing and enjoy evening cocktails while the kids played with toys in the yard and on the driveway. Though we did not get to do much exploring of Charleston due to mandatory evacuation, we do plan to return and hope our hosts did not have too much damage to their beautiful beach hideaway. OH, I almost forgot to mention, we had four large deer in the yard :-)

The Week Before Hurricane Mathew

We had a great stay! The house, the amenities, the grounds, and the location were perfect for our family! The Cohns are extremely personable and accessible for any questions or concerns you may have. We are looking forward to our next visit and hoping the island recovers quickly from the storm!

Downtown Charleston is close enough for a night on the town or day spent sightseeing!
