Amazing views! Very comfortable and clean.

We timed this trip well for the Fall colors - late October. Amazing views to the south looking over the rolling country of North Carolina from high on the edge of the Blue Ridge mountains. The sun reflected beautifully off the glass high rises of Winston-Salem in the far distance. Cabin is very well outfitted for extended stays at the cabin. Warm and inviting; very comfortable place for relaxing and well located for visiting "Mayberry," exploring the Bluegrass country or just hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains and biking/running the Rail Trail along the New River. The owners were very easy to work with as well. Loved this place!

Wish we had more time!

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying that the views are as stunning as they look in the pictures. The owners were also very kind and prompt with their responses to questions and directions. We enjoyed every last minute that we spent at this home. The inside of the house is immaculate and the furniture, beds etc. are nice comfortable. But most of our time was spent on the back deck facing the amazing views. It was so nice and relaxing to just sit out there and read in the mornings. I also believe that we ate every meal at the table that is on the deck. We had our two teenage kids with us, one in college and one in high school, believe it or not never heard "I'm bored". We just had good family fun sitting around playing cards and working puzzles in the evenings, which included lots of talking and laughing. During the days we would go walking through the neighborhood, which has amazing views from everywhere. We also found a cute little covered bridge. We did take a day trip to Mount Airy to walk around and see the sights and do a little window shopping, if I remember correctly it was about 25 minutes away. So we were only gone from the house for total of about three hours. I would highly recommend this to anyone that I know…The only thing is it's hard to put into words just how truly wonderful our experience was.

Great View, Cozy Place

  • 5 of 5

We loved the view and the cabin was very comfortable. There was a minor problem with the door lock when we arrived but the owner was very responsive and fixed it himself quickly. We spotted everything from deer to turkeys to hummingbirds and so much more here. It's close enough to places to eat and such and everything is a drive but that's the charm of it. We made a day trip of going to Furnitureland South in NC and purchased some furniture for back home. It's highly recommended if you're looking. I also love the southern charm of the area considering we are from the northeast :) this cabin is highly recommended, you'll enjoy it

Wonderful mountain home for a family of 5

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulously relaxed few days at this cabin. It is really comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could need. We could have happily stayed in the house and on the deck the whole time, but we had wonderful days out and would love to have stayed longer. It was perfect for our family (we have 3 kids ages 4-8) - the children loved the views, looking out for deer, playing up and down stairs, the 'tree' in the living room, the deck... It was wonderful! Highly recommended - thank you!

A great stay from far away.

  • 5 of 5

We came all the way from California to visit the cabin and family from Ohio and were simply speechless with the views and enjoyed all the amenities such as a full kitchen and BBQ that we were able to utilize to make our own home cooked meals. Driving on Blue Ridge Parkway, we were able to visit the Alpaca Farm, where the family was so sweet and allowed us to pet and get to know there Alpacas. We also went into Galax where there was an incredible Craft beer store with a brewery attached. Great spot to get local craft beers! Every day spent was a relaxing start to our great stay from far away. Thank you for sharing your space with my family and I.
