This lovely light filled home is a 5 min walk to river, 10 min walk to downtown
When you walk in the front door, you'll know why I think this home is so special. It's warm and inviting, comfortable and open, and best of all, filled with light. The house was built in 1910 and has since been remodeled... the inner walls were knocked down to open up one big living room kitchen space. The hard wood floors redone, and radiant heated floors warm the house. There is a mud room with a washer and dryer, and a kitchen with a new gas range and dishwasher, and a counter bar that opens to the living room. The bed room has a queen size bed and the bathroom a large claw-foot tub. This is just the inside...
Outside is bliss. The yard is large and beautifully landscaped... you'll wake up to the smell of lavender outside of your window, there is also a backyard private patio oasis where you can dine or do yoga. There is a grill and I also provide bicycles for your stay upon request. Please notify us if you'd like to have a bike available. You are only minutes from the river trail and downtown Missoula- a great location to explore!
If you are interested in a multi-month rental, don't hesitate to contact me. Special rates apply for multi-month guests.
Guests have access to everything in the house and on the property except for the garage.
Interaction with Guests
Guests shall allow the owner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. The owner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner. Lawn maintenance may occur during your stay. The owner/property manager will always be available to communicate with guests but will not be on the property during their stay unless requested by the guest.
The proximity to downtown is wonderful, and the walk to get there is so lovely - along a river trail. Down the street is Missoula's best natural food store - The Good Food Store, and nearby you'll find wonderful coffee shops (Bernice's and Le Petit), restaurants, and shopping (Betty's Divine!). I've been in Missoula for 12 years and this location is my favorite location in town. Check out the guidebook for my favorite hotspots.
You are within walking distance of the river and downtown. I provide bicycles as well upon request. On a bike you can be at the university in 10 mins and downtown in 5 mins. Missoula also has public transportation and you are within walking distance of the major bus lines.

Great little house
Came into town to do a little remodel and needed a place to stay while doing so. Very comfortable and inviting. Everything you might need was in the house. Katy was very accommodating. Thank you!
This house is PERFECT! It was clean, comfortable and very cozy! The location for the value could not be better. You are one block off the bike trail system and we rode our bikes EVERYWHERE! Completely accessible to several trailheads, endless bars, restaurants, parks, playgrounds, breweries on both sides of the river. The Missoula community has so much to do between the events in the park, farmers markets, Osprey minor league baseball, fantastic fishing, incredible hikes. We enjoyed hanging out in the awesome backyard almost as much as venturing out. It truly felt like home. We would love to come again...and again and again.
Walk to Downtown, Le Petit Outre, Bernice's, and Good Food
What a fabulous locating for walking to both Saturday farmers markets, Roxy Theater, Bernice's Bakery, Le Petit Outre and so much more. Parking in alley assured us a quiet, safe place for our vehicle.
We spent 10 days with Katy in an extreme heat wave, and with her ceiling fan and two floor fans we were able to sleep even if warm. She allowed us to pick raspberries in her backyard which was an unexpected treat.
This is a very clean property with reliable plumbing in an old section of Missoula. Rentals don't get much better than this and Katy and her father were very solicitous and helpful.
Great spot in the middle of Missoula
We can to Missoula in early July to visit our daughter and wanted a place in the center of town. This small home was perfectly situated and exceeded our expectations. The home is centrally located, a short walk to various coffee shops and close to a couple of high quality grocers- including the Good Food store which has a great selection of food and a fantastic deli/restaurant. The home has a nice backyard with ideal spots to relax outdoors on cooler Missoula evenings and enjoy an end of the day beverage. It was in the mid-90s during our visit and, though the home had no AC, it was well-insulated, cool and comfortable with a ceiling fan and area fans proving a comfortable environment. The home is comfortable and welcoming and feels like a genuine Missoula home. Thanks Kati for being such a responsive and hospitable host. We''ll be back next time we come to town.
This is a good place to stay. Great location close to downtown, great fenced yard.
The property has every thing you need, with nicely updated amenities. Yard has well established private feel.
Memorable, Cozy and Comfortable; with just a few changes we would stay there again.
This adobe has some very nice things going for it, location, it was close to where we needed to be, the heating system was great, (noiseless), since it was in the single digits, and there was hot water in the rather weird shower. On the odd side, the microwave was on top of a very tall refrigerator that was impossible to access without climbing on an unstable chair and risking spilling whatever was inside and or falling. There is no TV or radio, the key retrieval system was difficult to do in 3 feet of snow and icy cold weather. The bed was OK but for two people, someone can't get out with disturbing the other. The other big thing was the lack of privacy, the curtains are see through so if you enjoy the fishbowl experience this is your spot. Very interesting house.
Thank you Paul for your review, it is very helpful. We just put a new fridge in the house and when installed the microwave was placed on top like we had it before on a much shorter fridge, not realizing the dilemma, thanks to your review I will remove it.
We are also in the process of installing privacy shades on the living room window like we have in the kitchen and bedroom.
As for the TV, yes you are right, we do not have one, it is intentional and I'll make sure to make this even more clear on the listing so there is no confusion.
