Situated in the center of Waikoloa Colony Villas with lovely lanai view of Mauna Kea. When the sun comes up time begins. Be sure to see the show from the breakfast lanai, it looks on wonderful stretch of lawn balanced on one side by a shade giving monkey pod tree where the sun shines wonderfully though it’s lacy leaves. The movement across the lawn by the Myna birds, Saffron finches and the occasional Plover lets you know you have the best seat in the place. Except for the one off the master bedroom which allows a great view into the tree where the bird show is an all day event.
 
The home is done with appreciation of the tropics and lets you know you are on a vacation in a tropical paradise. From the Mid Century Modern bamboo furniture to the carved teak bed. The furnishings are blended with Balinese paintings and carvings. The Polynesian tapa cloth wall covering seems almost small compared to the 17’ foot ceiling living room.
 
The ceiling fans located in both bedrooms, dining area and living room allow you make the most of the trade winds that grace Waikoloa. Allowing you to live without the AC on. Along this line all lighting in the unit is done with high quality LEDs.
 
The bedrooms, stairs and walk-in closet all have carpet. The kitchen has granite counter tops and granite flooring which extends into the Laundry room and bathroom area on the lower level.
 
Location is equal distance from both pools but far enough away to enjoy the quite when you want. There is also a tennis court and work out room located toward the main entrance. There is grills located at both pool areas but also in front of building 6, close enough to use but far enough away to appreciate.
 
Smoking is not allowed in the condo and only in designated outside areas.

Great place to stay

The house is great just as you see in photos

It has everything you may need to go to the beach

The place is awesome. The breakfast at the patio was very nice. The house was clean

The community also has a pool and some barbecues that you can use

The house is completely equipped with all you may need for cooking. It's comfortable and very nice

If we come back, we will sure come back

Excellent Stay

Stayed in a different unit at the Colony Villas last year and would say that overall this is superior - modern fittings, furnishings, TV's etc. made this an ideal base for our 17 night stay. Obviously you do have to have a car but as long as you do then all facilities, beaches, shops, golf courses are all a short(ish) drive away. Only major criticism would be the beach furniture/equipment, two of the four chairs with rips in them, one broken snorkel, beach umbrella torn etc. Otherwise excellent and, have dealt with Heidi two years in a row now and found the process to be painless and all responses to questions to be dealt with quickly.

Definitely would recommend to stay

Had a wonderful stay for 2 adults and 2 teenagers at this particular residence with the kids in there own bedroom downstairs. It is centrally located to all the tourist sites, but you would need a car. Everything listed as being in the unit is there, and much more which is great. The Queens Market Place on the ring round is great, and has heaps of different foods to choose from very well stocked, therefore no need to go to Costco at Kona. Wish I had booked it for a longer time, but will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to people to stay at.

Great place to stay

This is a great unit to stay in for your Big Island vacation. Close enough to the big pool and to BBQ grills and very quite without a lot of traffic. The unit is stocked with just about everything you need. Enough plates, cups, bowls and cooking utensils to make meal time easy. Washer and dryer are new and all appliances are in great working order. There are two bedrooms but the pictures make it difficult to see where they are located. The master is on the second floor with a nice flat screen TV in the bedroom. The second bedroom is the one with two twin beds and is on the first floor and can be made into a California King if you ask in advance. This bedroom shares the bathroom with the ground floor. NO problem but nice to figure it out ahead of time. There are plenty of pool and beach toys stored by the washer and dryer including fins, chairs, soft coolers.

Heidi was so easy to work with responds immediately. We would stay here again and again.

Excellent Space

As a family of 4 people 17, 19 and us parents, this unit was the perfect set up. Pictures are a true representation and the unit is easy to spread out in. Great washer, dryer and all appliances. Even had a rice cooker and blender! I really appreciated the extras with some beach toys, chairs, cooler. Be sure to get to the unit first and check out what is there before you do a walmart and/or Costco run. I also have been to VRBOs were we had to buy extra soap toilet paper etc and this is not the case in this unit. Best advice also would be to rent a car as soon as you book this unit - I almost didn't get a car. Probably had more to do with renting at Christmas. The other thing that was great at this property is there is lots of cutlery and plates etc. If you were travelling with another family staying in another unit it would be easy to have a bit larger group. Overall awesome, would stay there again.

Would return again and again

Have stayed at Waikoloa Colony Village before so we knew what to expect. Appreciated the extras in this condo like in the kitchen coffee filters and spices etc, we enjoyed using the BBQ a short walk away. Also the beach chairs and umbrella came in handy. We particularly booked here to utilize the golfing privileges at the two golf courses within the Resort area. Nice modern well kept unit. Had problems with the A/C for the first few days, but Heidi dealt with the issue.
