City Center Decorator Elegance With Balcony in the Heart of the City - WIFI and Smart TV – WALK TO TRINITY AND ALL SITES

We’ve named our apartment The Dublin Rose because of it’s bright décor and charm in the heart of Dublin.

It was restored this year and sleeps 4 comfortably plus a child, ideally situated in Dublin 2, considered to be the gentrified side of town ... within 3 city blocks of Trinity College and close to Grafton Street shopping, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and all attractions the of Dublin.

This apartment has been fondly renovated to a high standard with an all tile bathroom, and all new decorator furnishings to provide a luxurious stay. The living room and bedroom are filled with light every mornings through the floor to ceiling French Doors that lead to the balcony. This is an elegant, quiet apartment giving you every comfort to enjoy.

PERFECT LOCATION -

Located in the convenient and beautiful Georgian area of the city, you have wonderful pubs, restaurants, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, museums, parks and even the Dublin Castle on your door step.

It’s ideally situated with all the conveniences and attractions of the city, yet on a quiet lane with no noise to disturb your peace! Turn right out of the lane, and walk to shops and restaurants and attractions, turn left and stroll or jog along the tree lined canal, visit pubs and more restaurants. There's even a weekly village market, tucked into the banks of the canal, where you can buy local specialties. It's truly beautiful with it's ever changing foliage.

If walking is an issue, or you just want to rest your feet, you can hop on a number 4 or 7 bus at the corner, and be at Trinity College in 3 minutes, or Merrion Square in 2 minutes with it’s lunchtime markets, weekend art displays, and tour busses. The same bus will take you to O’Connell Street where you can also shop ‘til you drop on Henry Street, or walk from the apartment. You can also catch the Luas Tram there to outlying Museums or the Heuston Rail Station for trips around Ireland.

PUBS, RESTAURANTS AND EATING IN -

There are great restaurants and pubs around the apartment that we can highly recommend. Our ‘local’ pub - the Schoolhouse pub - is just 3 minutes walk and boasts traditional Irish music several nights a week for your entertainment and makes a great night out. Oil Can Harry’s is among others just across Mount Street and has the friendliest pub owners you’ll want to meet with activities as well. You’ll be spoiled for choice!

There is a Spar market conveniently located on the corner so you will never run out of essentials. You’ll have pots and pans and china in the kitchen, and all linens and towels freshly laundered for your use.

QUIET, QUAINT & CONVENIENT -

The apartment is on a quiet Lane, just off Mount Street. In the main bedroom there is a European Size King Bed for 2, and in the living room there is a VERY COMFY sofa bed with a 6’ Mattress that makes a full double bed. All linens and the guest duvet are conveniently stored under the sofa bed. There is also a facility for a 5th guest.

You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a fridge with a large freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer so that anyone considering an extended stay can enjoy all the comforts of home. The fully tiled bathroom is spacious and modern and boasts an extra long tub/shower.

If you are considering exploring the country further afield, you can rent a car close by or hop on the DART at the Grand Canal stop close by, or connect to Heuston Station or Connelly Station.

Many visitors want to experience the famous Guinness Storehouse or the Jameson Distillery. They run tours regularly. Others love the Temple bar area for music and entertainment, or Kilmainham Gaol, Ryan's Victorian Pub, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, are wonderful and popular attractions too. (See our full list of the 20 most popular sites below, plus a few of our own!)

AIRPORT PICKUP OPTION / EARLY CHECK-IN -

Our Caretaker Pat can pick you up and deliver you straight to the apartment. Pay him as you would pay any taxi. He’ll be at your disposal for touring or assistance throughout your stay! Early check in can be accommodated if the apartment is available.

We'll try to do all we can to make your stay enjoyable. We’re world travelers ourselves, and know how nice it is to have friendly, helpful landlords, even on short term stays. We’ve made the apartment nice for ourselves and our guests, and hope you will enjoy every minute of it. We look forward to receiving your enquiry. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION...

SAFE in the HEART OF THE CITY

Our recent visitors suggested that we stress how nice it is to stroll or jog along the banks of the tree lined canal. It's truly beautiful with it's ever changing foliage. There's even a weekly village market where you can buy lunch and local specialties. The Lamb Pita is exceptional.

5 EXTRA BENEFITS OUR GUESTS ENJOY!!! -

1. Location - heart of gorgeous Dublin - walk to all major sites, restaurants galore, and shop 'til you drop. Or to go further afield, hop on the bus or DART to Connelly Station to see the countryside. The airport Bus is practically at your doorstep.

2. Balcony, 5th floor with elevator. The sun and light pours in through the French Doors with floor to ceiling windows. Airy and marvelous. Few apartments can offer this feature of warmth and charm!

3. Dish Washer, all the comforts of home and more!!!

4. Clothes Washer/Dryer combo. Pack light and save room for your souvenirs!

5. Luxury decor - relax and soak up the elegance! It’s your vacation – make it memorable.

RELIABLE LANDLORDS -

We'll try to do all we can to make your stay enjoyable. We’re world travelers ourselves, and know how nice it is to have friendly, helpful landlords, even on short term stays. We’ve made the apartment nice for ourselves and our guests, and hope you will enjoy every minute of it.

WHAT WE LIKE MOST ABOUT OUR DUBLIN HOME -

We fell in love with this property because if it's Location and Charm.

Not noisy, yet in the heart of everything, with everything walkable. We especially love the BALCONY - so unusual in the city! French Doors lead from both the Bedroom and Living Room to the Balcony. You can relax there over your breakfast table and drinks in the evening. Light pours into the bedroom and living room. No one can peer in your window!

WHAT VISITORS COMMENT ON ...

1. Here's what one of the previous visitors wrote to say. 'The apartment was lovely! Great location. We enjoyed the easy walk to Trinity and all the sites, plus 2 pubs called the Gasworks and Oil Can Harry's. Pat the Caretaker was great, very helpful. We'll definitely come again!'

2. Another visitor suggested we emphasize that our location in the city is really walking distance to everything. Other apartments she looked at advertised themselves to be '10 minutes' from the heart of the city, but they were actually a 10 minute drive, or 10 minute bus ride, whereas ours is actually walking distance to Trinity, Grafton Street shopping, St Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, Merrion Square and pulse of the city.

WHAT TO DO AND SEE NEARBY:

Enjoy an easy stroll around St Stephen's Green or Trinity College from the apartment. Stop at one of the Butler's Chocolate Shops for coffee or tea, where they give you a complimentary chocolate of your choice. We love the 'double chocolate truffle.' Ask for their Loyalty Card, and have it punched everytime you go. Before your trip is over, you are bound to qualify for coffee on the house!

Then perhaps explore the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre on 3 levels under glass - really gorgeous. Or enjoy one of the many museums.

Move on to Graffton Street - the inviting pedestrian shopping street - complete with busters playing music in the background.

Stroll a couple of blocks east from there to see the Parliament Building and it's architecture - especially pretty at dusk when it's lit. Stop at Buswell's Hotel for a roast lunch, afternoon tea or a drink in the evening!

Or head north a couple of blocks to hear Irish music in the famed Temple Bar area, and then west to Dublin Castle.

Or cross over one of the Liffey River Bridges, such as the Haypenny, to the famed O'Connell Street, Abbey Theatre, Customs House and the spectacular Convention Centre along the River Liffey, or take a boat ride on the Liffey!

Then return home, to your home-away-from-home, for a comfortable night's rest and gear up for tomorrow!

Or whittle the evening away at the Schoolhouse Pub and Restaurant - or any of the other pubs near the apartment - and soak up the Irish charm!!!

Here are the 20 most popular visitor sites, most of which you can walk to from the apartment. We've added the Butler Chocolate Tour to the list as #21, but you may want to move it up in priority!!!

About Christine

We're American - Irish, and have lived on both sides of the Atlantic for 24 years. Why stop now! Travel is in our blood and we love having Dublin as a base for jump offs to the South of France, England and wherever our heart takes us.

Christine purchased this condo in 2014

Why Christine chose Dublin

We fell in love with this property because if it's Location and Charm.

Not noisy, yet in the heart of everything, with everything walkable. The Airport Bus is practically outside the door, as well as busses to everywhere and the DART connection to Connolly Station for the further explorations!

We especially love the BALCONY - so unusual in the city! French Doors lead from both the Bedroom and Living Room to the Balcony. We relax there over our breakfast table and drinks in the evening. Light pours in. No one can peer in our window.

What makes this condo unique

We love the Irish and have enjoyed researching our heritage. The Irish are all so helpful with whatever you want to see or do, with advice and suggestions - all making the experience of visiting Dublin a delight.

Parking available at an extra cost - available from Jan 1, 2015 to Feb 15, 2015.

Delightful apartment in wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was grand, as the Irish say. It's sunny (at least, when there's sunshine!) and in a great location. 15 minute walk to Trinity College, 10 minutes to museums, Leinster House, Sweny's pharmacy; 5 minutes to Merrion Square. One minute walk to the canal, which is great for jogging or just strolling. Apartment is not huge but it has everything you need. I felt safe, even at night and there's a grocery store just across the street. Also, owner and caretaker seemed to go out of their way to try to help me have a great stay. Highly recommended.

Comfortable, well appointed holiday home

  • 5 of 5

Lovely stay over Halloween 2016 in the Dublin Rose. Convenient to everything a traveler/tourist may need...restaurants, pubs, cafes, groceries, chemist, etc. Baggot Street and Dame Street, our two favorite streets in Dublin, are just a quick walk away. We take public transport during our vacations and the tram system was a quick and easy way to get around town...an easy way to get to Guinness Storehouse. We also love to walk and I think we walked about 200 miles each day! Some favorites places are the Fishamble Street area of Dubin with its dark history, Glasnevin Cemetery, Christ Church Cathedrals Belfry and Crypt tour, and Marsh's Library. All within walking distance to the flat. We missed out on seeing the great tombs in St Audoen's Church, they closed for visits the day before we arrived. We were lucky enough to enjoy the Macnas Halloween Parade on Mary Street which was just magical. We also did a day tour through the Boyne Valley and visited Loughcrew and the Hill of Tara. The only question I have about our stay was that I did not see a guest book, or maybe I missed it. I always enjoy reading about what past guests have done and different restaurant suggestions and then offering my own. We are vegetarians and we found a great falafal place on Dame Street, Umi Falafal. I got takeaway more than once! There were many great healthy food choices in Dublin which is always lovely to encounter. A great stay in a clean and well appointed place always makes a trip away from home all that more special and this place is special. Instructions were concise and the flat was very pretty and well maintained. Many thanks for allowing us to make it our home if only for a week.

Owner's Response: Hi Glen, yes it is a one bedroom, one bath apartment exactly as pictured and it has a very comfortable sofa bed. We try to offer excellent accommodation without charging extra for those who want to bring family and not invest in a more expensive two bedroom place. I'm glad you enjoyed the location! Thanks Glen, all best Christine and Tom

Ideal apartment for two in great location

  • 4 of 5

Spent 8 days in the apartment and appreciated the quiet and sunny location but within 15-20 minute walking distance of Trinity College and major down town attractions. Also close to bus lines and not far from the train line. The owners were very easy to deal with and provided great information about the apartment and the neighborhood. Pat, the manager, was efficient and friendly. The convenience store across the street and shops and restaurants further along the canal provided all we needed for our extended stay. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet location near to downtown.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

We loved staying in Ballsbridge, very quiet and situated within walking distance to the city centre. The flat was just as advertised, clean and tidy. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony too. There was great customer service, the woman who gave us our keys was incredibly kind and helpful. We highly recommend Paulie's Pizza just a 5 minute walk away from the flat, we couldn't get enough! Strolls down the canal were also lovely. Thank you, Tom and Christine!

This is a recently lovingly restored apartment with all tile bathroom, and all new decorator furnishings. It has a lot of the original features such as coving on the ceilings and beautiful French Doors leading to the balcony. The apartment is bright and fresh due to the floor to ceiling windows, that both tilt open for ventilation or fully open for access to the balcony from both the living room and the bedroom. The apartment is quiet at all times, while still being center city in the prestigious Georgian area. It’s a truly wonderful experience to stay here and enjoy a vacation in an elegant apartment with every convenience. Friendly, helpful driver/caretaker available for airport pickup, or assistance. Please let us know if you have any questions, or how we can be of assistance to make your Dublin experience the best it can be!
