We’ve named our apartment THE DUBLIN ROSE because of it’s bright décor and CHARM in the HEART OF DUBLIN.
It was restored this year and sleeps 4 comfortably plus a child, ideally situated in Dublin 2, considered to be the gentrified side of town ... within 3 city blocks of Trinity College and close to Grafton Street shopping, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and all attractions the of Dublin.
This apartment has been fondly renovated to a high standard with an all tile bathroom, and all new decorator furnishings to provide a luxurious stay. The living room and bedroom are filled with light every mornings through the floor to ceiling French Doors that lead to the balcony. This is an elegant, quiet apartment giving you every comfort to enjoy.
PERFECT LOCATION -
It’s ideally situated with all the conveniences and attractions of the city, yet on a quiet lane with no noise to disturb your peace! Turn right out of the lane, and walk to shops and restaurants and attractions, turn left and stroll or jog along the tree lined canal, visit pubs and more restaurants. There's even a weekly village market, tucked into the banks of the canal, where you can buy local specialties. It's truly beautiful with it's ever changing foliage.
If walking is an issue, or you just want to rest your feet, you can hop on a number 4 or 7 bus at the corner, and be at Trinity College in 3 minutes, or Merrion Square in 2 minutes with it’s lunchtime markets, weekend art displays, and tour busses. The same bus will take you to O’Connell Street where you can also shop ‘til you drop on Henry Street, or walk from the apartment. You can also catch the Luas Tram there to outlying Museums or the Heuston Rail Station for trips around Ireland.
PUBS, RESTAURANTS AND EATING IN -
There are great restaurants and pubs around the apartment that we can highly recommend. Our ‘local’ pub - the Schoolhouse pub - is just 3 minutes walk and boasts traditional Irish music several nights a week for your entertainment and makes a great night out. Oil Can Harry’s is among others just across Mount Street and has the friendliest pub owners you’ll want to meet with activities as well. You’ll be spoiled for choice!
There is a Spar market conveniently located on the corner so you will never run out of essentials. You’ll have pots and pans and china in the kitchen, and all linens and towels freshly laundered for your use.
QUIET, QUAINT & CONVENIENT -
The apartment is on a quiet Lane, just off Mount Street. In the main bedroom there is a European Size King Bed for 2, and in the living room there is a VERY COMFY sofa bed with a 6’ Mattress that makes a full double bed. All linens and the guest duvet are conveniently stored under the sofa bed. There is also a facility for a 5th guest.
You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a fridge with a large freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer so that anyone considering an extended stay can enjoy all the comforts of home. The fully tiled bathroom is spacious and modern and boasts an extra long tub/shower.
If you are considering exploring the country further afield, you can rent a car close by or hop on the DART at the Grand Canal stop close by, or connect to Heuston Station or Connelly Station.
Many visitors want to experience the famous Guinness Storehouse or the Jameson Distillery. They run tours regularly. Others love the Temple bar area for music and entertainment, or Kilmainham Gaol, Ryan's Victorian Pub, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, are wonderful and popular attractions too. AIRPORT TAXI / EARLY CHECK-IN -
Taxi’s are plentiful at the Dublin Airport and will deliver you straight to the apartment. The trip should take anywhere from 20 – 40 minutes depending on the time of day and traffic. The costs usually runs about 25 – 30 Euros.
Early check in can be accommodated if the apartment is available. You will have the phone number of our Caretaker Maura will be waiting for your call when you reach the airport the airport, and will meet you at the apartment.

Our recent visitors suggested that we stress how nice it is to stroll or jog along the banks of the tree lined canal. It's truly beautiful with it's ever changing foliage. There's even a weekly village market where you can buy lunch and local specialties. The Lamb Pita is exceptional.

We fell in love with this property because if it's Location and Charm.
Not noisy, yet in the heart of everything, with everything walkable. We especially love the BALCONY - so unusual in the city! French Doors lead from both the Bedroom and Living Room to the Balcony. You can relax there over your breakfast table and drinks in the evening. Light pours into the bedroom and living room. No one can peer in your window!

1. Here's what one of the previous visitors wrote to say. 'The apartment was lovely! Great location. We enjoyed the easy walk to Trinity and all the sites, plus 2 pubs called the Gasworks and Oil Can Harry's. Pat the Caretaker was great, very helpful. We'll definitely come again!'
2. Another visitor suggested we emphasize that our location in the city is really walking distance to everything. Other apartments she looked at advertised themselves to be '10 minutes' from the heart of the city, but they were actually a 10 minute drive, or 10 minute bus ride, whereas ours is actually walking distance to Trinity, Grafton Street shopping, St Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, Merrion Square and pulse of the city.
WHAT TO DO AND SEE NEARBY:
Enjoy an easy stroll around St Stephen's Green or Trinity College from the apartment. Stop at one of the Butler's Chocolate Shops for coffee or tea, where they give you a complimentary chocolate of your choice. We love the 'double chocolate truffle.' Ask for their Loyalty Card, and have it punched everytime you go. Before your trip is over, you are bound to qualify for coffee on the house!
Then perhaps explore the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre on 3 levels under glass - really gorgeous. Or enjoy one of the many museums.
Move on to Graffton Street - the inviting pedestrian shopping street - complete with busters playing music in the background.
Stroll a couple of blocks east from there to see the Parliament Building and it's architecture - especially pretty at dusk when it's lit. Stop at Buswell's Hotel for a roast lunch, afternoon tea or a drink in the evening!
Or head north a couple of blocks to hear Irish music in the famed Temple Bar area, and then west to Dublin Castle.
Or cross over one of the Liffey River Bridges, such as the Haypenny, to the famed O'Connell Street, Abbey Theatre, Customs House and the spectacular Convention Centre along the River Liffey, or take a boat ride on the Liffey!
Then return home, to your home-away-from-home, for a comfortable night's rest and gear up for tomorrow!
Or whittle the evening away at the Schoolhouse Pub and Restaurant - or any of the other pubs near the apartment - and soak up the Irish charm!!!
