About the property

This 2128 Sqft, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Luxury Cabin W/huge Game Room And Bar.

Featured on House Hunters!

In April 2014 we purchased our beautiful cabin in the Smokies. When we searched we were filming for an episode for HGTV House Hunters. This is the cabin we chose.

You want it all? Here it is! Location: This cabin is located just 4 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge, 6 miles from Dollywood and 8 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. It is literally right in the middle of everything yet totally secluded. When you are relaxing on 1 of the 2 huge decks as the sun sinks behind the Great Smokey Mountains you can just barely hear a whistle blow from a Dollywood train.

The cabin is huge! At 2128 sq ft this 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with more space. There is plenty of room to spread out. The main floor features a spacious bedroom with a beautiful queen size log bead topped with a 3 inch memory foam mattress for added comfort. The room is decorated in very taste full rustic decor and there is a 32 inch flat screen TV and DVD player. The bathroom is dressed in Browning decor and includes a bathtub and shower. The kitchen is very spacious and is open to the living room, great for entertaining. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, nice wood cabinets with fresh hardware and is fully stocked with everything you need.

Windows, Windows, Windows! One of the reasons we chose this cabin was for all the beautiful windows it has on every level. The living room is where it all begins. When you sit in this gorgeous living room you can look in any direction and see all the lush trees and mountainside. The living room is nicely furnished and there is a 50 inch flat screen TV and DVD player mounted over the fireplace. Surround sound speakers are mounted through out the cabin and can be controlled by zone, again perfect for entertaining! There is Free WiFi throughout this cabin as well! The dining room area offers seating for 4 plus there are a couple of barstools in the kitchen. Take a stroll out onto the huge top deck. Our cabin sits up on a ridge, totally secluded so you don't need to worry about your privacy. There is even a creek that runs behind the cabin that provides a peaceful and tranquile sound. There are a couple Adirondack rocking chairs to relax on and a cute Bistro set if you want to enjoy a cocktail. It's also a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee.

Off the living room there is a fantastic spiral wood staircase that takes you to our wonderful loft which features a king size log bed, 32 inch flat screen and DVD player, a wardrobe and again some very tasteful rustic decor. The bathroom is on suite with a tub and shower unit. The view from the loft is breathtaking!

If you like to entertain you will absolutely LOVE the bottom level of this cabin. The entire downstairs level is a Huge Bedroom with a stunning bar! Behind the bar you will find Marilyn, the center of attention. She was the inspiration behind the name we chose for our cabin, 'Don't Bother To Knock' starring Marilyn Monroe. She always enjoyed a good time so we thought she would make a great host. The pool table is full size and there are several games you are welcome to play as well. The room also features a 32 inch flat screen and DVD player, it is the command center for the surround sound system which offers iPod, CD or FM stereo options. There is an electric fireplace for added ambiance.

Just off this room is another huge deck with a huge Jacuzzi and a beautiful, comfortable Patio Set. This is obviously the place to relax!

When you compare this cabin with others there are very important things to keep in mind.

1.Location: Secluded, Private Cabin with a creek behind it just minutes from all the action.

2.Easy Access: This cabin has paved roads all the way to our driveway and there is plenty of parking. The driveway is completely level and the walkway to the front door is completely level as seen in the pics.

3.Amenities: We just purchased this cabin April 7th and completely updated and remodeled it inside and out. New decking on all 3 decks, new decor throughout, new furniture, all new stainless steel appliances and hardware in a fully stocked open kitchen, new TV's and DVD's throughout, surround sound throughout, new patio furniture, an awesome lighted Jacuzzi, new towels, bathrooms remodeled, new bedding, memory foam mattress toppers and it's very own Huge gameroom with a beautiful bar.

4.Size: It does matter! For a 3 bedroom cabin it has plenty of space. 2128 sq ft., 3 levels, 2 huge decks and that massive game room and bar.

5.Price: You get what you pay for! We may not always be the cheapest option but we can assure you there are no surprises. If there are any issues with your stay you have our direct #'s 24 hrs a day and we have a maintenance crew on call at all hours. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

We really loved the cabin itself.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. This trip was my husband and I, my mom, 2 older boys (16 & 12), and one 4 year old.

I would definitely stay here in this cabin again, despite what I write next, which are small things. The cabin was beautifully decorated the the holidays. It was cozy, homey, and just beautiful. I could live there forever, my kids want to live there, my youngest still asks to go back to the “brown house”. He cried when we came home. Just for the price, we expected a bit...more I guess.

We stayed over the New Year. There was snow one day while we were out exploring the tourist sites. I’m not sure how much snow fell...1 inch give or take 1/4. . The incline that leads to the drive way of the cabin is steep. We had to park our vehicle in a neighboring lot, prior to the incline and walk up. So if you plan to go in winter, have snow tires or 4WD. If we would have known that, we would have chosen a different cabin b/c my SUV is from Louisiana, no snow tires needed lol.

The description tells you that there will be something to start your laundry, if you need more, it’s on you. We were ok with that. Went to Öber the first full day there, an impromptu decision. Meaning a lot of dirty, wet clothes. There was no detergent to start with. We booked a 4 night stay, with 6 people. 2 trash bags. Not really a big deal, until you take the last out and have none. Didn’t expect that. Good thing the BBQ we carried uphill the snow night was in 2 large paper bags.

The pull out couch in the game room went unused. My older boys pulled it out to use the first night and the support bars in it were very much felt. So it was slept on as a couch.

Lastly, the dust. There was about an inch of dust on the headboard slots in the loft. The game room area blinds and A/C heater intake grates were covered in dust. The loft bathroom had a lot of dust and cobwebs on the decorative picture by the sink as well as the shelves above the commode, where the towels sat. And in the corners of the tub floor, it looked like hair and dust had not been cleaned in a while. There are many more dusty spots, but you get the idea. It is a good thing none of us have a severe dust allergy. Again, for the price we paid, I just expected more I suppose. However, I know the owners do not live in that state, perhaps they haven’t seen it in a while. Maybe a heavy duty clean team is needed a few times a year.

Owner's Response: Dear James and Angie, We are very disappointed to here that the cabin was so dusty, we have had the same cleaning lady (Christi) for 3 years. We will forward this review to her so she can address it. The lack of laundry detergent must have been a miss as well, it is expected to be there. We are heading there this week and we will conduct a thorough inspection of the cabin. Thanks for for honest feedback, we will put it to good use. We are glad you and your family enjoyed your time in the smokies. If you wish to return you will receive a repeat guest rate. Sincerely, Jim & Aundrea

Cozy get-a-way

  • 4 of 5

It was a lovely cabin and a great warmth to it. It was hard to find espicially since we arrived late and the stairs leading to the top loft was a bit scarey at first being wobbly as you walk up but we got use to it. This stay is perfect for family and friends.

Amazing hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Our experience with Jim and Aundria started even before our trip. Two days after booking the cabin there was a death in the family. I called Jim (and yes he did answer the phone) and explained the situation. He offered two options; 1) a complete refund or 2) BELIEVE THIS, since we would have to return to Atlanta for the funeral and miss some time at the cabin, an extra day for free! We chose the extra day.

When we arrived there was a bit of an issue with the hot tub, lol, too many bubbles. I texted Aundria immediately and she returned a text within five minutes. As it turned out, there was just too little water in the hot tub to match the chemicals. She suggested we add a little water and by the morning it was wonderful. Of course she texted and made sure it was good to go that morning.

As for the cabin, it's wonderful! Clean, comfortable and neat. The loft bed is so inviting......I need to find out the brand, as I want that kind at my house. The game room was wonderful. It may sound a bit silly, but the ceiling down there was really neat. The outside space was nice.....

The next time we go to Gatlinburg, we will try to get Jim and Aundria's cabin!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your special place with us!
