Wanted to let you know what a wonderful, relaxing vacation we had at your cabin. Pictures don't show how beautiful this place was. The cabin was very clean, and had everything you needed for a great vacation. We loved the sounds of the waterfalls, and the quiet, peaceful woods around the cabin. Did not go out to eat but once, found it very easy to prepare all our meals at cabin and enjoy dining on the great porch overlooking the creek. Hope we can return again next year.
We just returned from a long weekend at Crushing Creek with the extended family of grandparents, 2 sets of parents, 2 cousins ages 7 and 2.5. The house was great and the most well equipped of any rental we have gotten ever. Best was the sound of the waterfalls and the location. It feels like you are in the deep woods but are back on the highway in 5 minutes and only a short drive to keep everyone happy - hikes, lake swimming, small "museum" at Tallulah Gorge State Park that was perfect for a two year old. We ate like gluttons and had lots of naps. We'll be back!
Our family of four was looking for some R & R and we found it at this beautiful home! My oldest daughter enjoyed sitting on the big rocks at the creek, cooling her feet while reading books. My youngest daughter preferred star gazing and pointing out lightening bugs from the swing on the back deck in the evening. My husband found himself right at home in the large, well-stocked, gourmet kitchen!! (Yes, he's the chef in the family) Such a beautiful home, in fact, that we enjoyed every meal at the dining room table!! Awww...peaceful, family time! The choice to "unplug" was ours, although Wi-Fi is available if you really can't live without it. What was mom's favorite??? The Master Bath!! And, it was completely a welcomed surprise as I did not see any pictures of it when booking. It boasts an amazing dual shower made from the most beautiful stone! And, the entire home is very clean and stocked with anything you could possibly need!
Our family would definitely recommend this home for your next getaway. My tweens said, "It feels like we are in a tree house!" (a VERY NICE tree house, that is!!!) Thanks Beverly for sharing your home with us!!!
We had a great stay and the house is furnished with everything we could possible need: blow up matresses, quilts and blankets, the kitchen pots and pans, utensils, etc. The living room is AMAZING! High ceilings with a huge fireplace. And an expansive back porch. We will be back! The stream is a real treat.
We were looking for a nice cabin with proximity to rafting and hiking in Northern GA, Southern NC, and our son's favorite restaurant...The Dillard House. Beverly's cabin is an exceptionally well decorated home. First impressions upon walking in the front door are...'Wow'. As advertised, there is a creek directly behind the cabin with waterfalls...a very nice place to relax after a day of rafting or hiking. The back deck of this cabin is incredible. It overlooks the river, has its own outdoor fireplace with huge BBQ. Lounging with the family or entertaining with a larger group....this cabin is well suited for a quality getaway. Beverly replies immediately to any questions you may have and is a delight to work with.
The cabin was fantastic; better than we expected. We planned a few days with our son and his family (they traveled from North Carolina and we traveled from Southeast Missouri) and it was exactly what we were looking for. A great place to hang out together. We cooked breakfast in the mornings, ventured out during the day, and enjoyed the wonderful deck in the afternoon and evenings. The sound of the creek and waterfalls was very relaxing. The boys ages 6 and 9 enjoyed playing in the creek behind the cabin and catching minnows. There was tv with satellite and wifi for the grandsons to play their games and upload all of our pictures from the beautiful sites in the area. We were able to go to the drive in on Saturday night, visit Tallulah Falls and Gorge, Goats on the Roof, and everything was within a 30 minute or less drive including the grocery store. The grandsons are already planning our stay next year. The home was so comfortable and beautifully decorated . It was a much needed getaway for all of us. Would highly recommend this cabin getaway!
