About the property

2 Bedroom 2 Bath Cabin With Jacuzzi, Hot Tub, Air Hockey, Fireplace

This authentic log cabin was built by my husband with over 60 years of family experience in the construction business. It has the mountain feel with modern amenities. It is located about a half mile from the downtown parkway in Gatlinburg and about 8 miles from Pigeon Forge. It is located at 231 Loop Road in Gatlinburg, which is off Roaring Fork Road from Highway 321 North right in Gatlinburg. This cabin is within walking distance to downtown (up hill walking back) and there is a trolley stop about 400 feet away that will take you around Gatlinburg as well as Pigeon Forge. It is close to town but enough off the beaten path to not be in the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is a 2 story authentic log cabin with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The living room has a 55" flat screen tv with guide and dvd player, wood burning fireplace (we supply the wood and the fireplace can be used from the months of September to May 1) and wifi. The kitchen is a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities such as dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster and all pots, pans and utensils. There is also a 4 person dining table and chairs in the kitchen area. The master bedroom is an open floor plan that has a king size bed, cable television with guide, dvd player, 2 person jacuzzi, stand up shower, vanity, and toilet area that can be closed off to the rest of the bedroom. It also has a closet with the stack washer and dryer. The loft area has a queen size bed, full sized futon, air hockey table and full bath that can be closed off. The front porch has a large 4 person hot tub closed in for privacy and a swing with 2 rockers to enjoy the outdoors. The back decking area has a picnic table and charcoal grill.

Ray's Cabin was built for families to be able to come and make memories whether your on your honeymoon and just beginning your life together or if you have children and are spending that quality time together, we want your experience with this cabin to be the best, a place where great memories are made. Thank you for considering our cabin!

About Tami Ogle

We come from a long line of Ogle's in the Smoky Mountains. We have a daughter that is 21 years old and is working on her Biology degree and a son who is 19 years old and is working on a degree for Sports Broadcasting. We also have a lot of family that lives in Alabama that we try to see as often as we can. Orange Beach AL is our home away from home and where we like to vacation. We attend Gumstand Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge and would love to have you join us for a service during your stay. Our hope is that if you choose a property of ours that it be the memorable time that you deserve for your visit to Gatlinburg.

Tami Ogle purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Tami Ogle chose East

This cabin was built with the intention to give other families a 'home away from home' during their visit to Gatlinburg. We have put special touches throughout the cabin to give the mountain feel for you to have the full experience. We really want you to enjoy your stay with us!

What makes this cabin unique

Being built by us and taken care of by us we hope this gives you the assurance of the best possible stay we can provide with all the modern amenities. The craftsmanship and authentic logs are something we take pride in and we want you to enjoy!

Perfect location for Memory Making

  • 5 of 5

This was not our first stay in one of the Ogle's cabins, but it was our first in Ray's cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. The location was great as we were easily able to get to our favorite locations like downtown Gatlinburg and the Arts and Crafts Community. Also just a short drive away is a big grocery store, Food City, that has everything that you need to cook a great meal.

The cabin is beautiful, but I think my favorite part of being at Ray's was the area. The neighbors were so nice and it felt like being in a safe little family community. On our last night at Ray's my husband was packing our SUV at 2:30 a.m., but he did not realize that he was about to have a black bear encounter of the really close up kind. He heard something behind him, not but 15 ft. away. It was a black bear watching him. The bear was not shy at all but he did keep a little distance from us. My husband was a little shocked at first but finally managed to get to the front door of our cabin to alert us. Being that he was a little startled, he left the back door open on the SUV and the bear grabbed one of our luggage bags. We watched as this bear ran away with the luggage like a bad dog and smirking at us the whole way. :D He ripped into it not too far from us, in the brush, and finally got to the only food that was in the bag....Coffee and Sweet and Low. The bear was not too happy with that so he left our bag behind and ran off to the neighbors house to steal a pumpkin off of the porch. We finally retrieved the luggage with the help of our nice neighbor who was awakened by the bear too. Our teenage girls were very excited to see our little visitor and I have never seen them spring out of bed so early in the morning before. The bear was clearly not aggressive, he just wanted to steal a little food, have his space, and then go on his way. It was definitely a memorable adventure and we were even able to get a few photos of our furry little bandit.

We always have a wonderful stay in the Ogle's cabins. The owners are not only nice but very accommodating as well. This is our 3rd time staying with them and it will certainly not be our last.

Really enjoyed our stay here

  • 5 of 5

This is the cleanest property I've rented on VRBO, so: well done on that front. We really enjoyed the location - close enough (for us, anyway) to walk to the strip, but away from the bustle and noise. We were surprised when we walked in because I feel the photos don't do this cabin justice; it's very nice! Bed was very comfortable - no cheap, stiff mattress here. This is not like other cabins that use wide-angle shots to make it look bigger than it is - it is quite spacious! The jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was a highlight for us. We will stay here again on our next trip to Gatlinburg if it is available.

We were very pleased with the cabin itself, the location and cleanliness. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the firewood being provided. We would definitely recommend this cabin and stay here again.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. There were two couples and this was perfect for us. The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was easy to access. The Ogles were very nice and were eager to make sure that everything was good. We had a problem with the television but Mr. Ogle came right over and took care of it. He told us good places to eat and things to see. We loved it and would stay there again. The Vaughns and The Gastons

Very nice and clean cabin. All of the amenities promised were there.

We had a fantastic time at this cabin. Close enough to catch a trolly to take us to downtown Gatlinburg and quiet enough to sit on the porch swing and relax! We came on motorcycles and enjoyed the space and blacktop for parking. We will definitely come back!
