About the Property
3 bed, 3 bath, sleeps 6
Furnished with fine contemporary art, antiques, elegance and comfort, and sweeping mountain views from the terrace, this is a patio-style home where all the rooms open from Spanish corridors around the lush central garden. The professionally decorated livingroom has an 18 foot ceiling, two generous and comfortable seating areas, an antique armoire bar, 40 inch flat screen TV and DVD player, Bose stereo iPod player, and fireplace. There are many books on the art, archeology, fiction, and history of Guatemala, and regional travel. The whole house has Wi-Fi.
There are two equal master suites with queen beds, down comforters, and attached bathrooms with hand-painted tiles, one with a full tub as well as shower. Another bedroom has a double bed and separate full bathroom. All three are bright and sunny and have fireplaces for cool mountain nights. There is also an office with a fireplace, two desks, and a printer.
You will have plenty of space and comfort with all your usual amenities, including house phone for local calls, a prepay cell phone, completely furnished kitchen stocked with spices and basic kitchen needs, with 6 burner stove, built-in dishwasher, microwave, all pots and pans, tableware, and coffee maker for delicious Guatemalan coffee.
Our maid Silvia comes 3 days a week and keeps the home fresh and clean, included. She is available for a small extra charge to cook and market for you: please ask for details. The cedar and mahogany dining table seats 8 to 10, but in case you prefer to dine out, Antigua has excellent restaurants for every cuisine! Even better, many of them deliver.
On the sunny terrace you can lounge with a view of the volcanoes Agua and Fuego, surrounded by roses, camellias, lemon and orange trees, and a fragrant jasmine arch. Or, you can nap, read, and chat in several nooks surrounding the patio filled with tree ferns, palms, bougainvillea trellises, orchids, and a fountain and pond filled with water lilies.
Any on-site questions can be answered by our bilingual property manager Lorena, nearby. Secure and friendly taxis are available for your hire, available also to collect you from the airport in Guatemala City, one hour away.
Enjoy strolling the quaint streets to galleries, markets and restaurants, Spanish schools, museums and shops, and return to your quiet and secure street. Walk to the Central Park or the market in 15 minutes or anywhere in town in half an hour.
Nearby you will find golf at the famous resort of La Reunion , adventurous mountain hiking, horseback riding, many spas, arts and crafts and the famous and picturesque Mayan culture. Side trips to the outstanding market at Chichicastenango, magnificent Lake Atitlan, or unforgettable Tikal can easily be booked through the excellent Elizabeth Bell Tours.

Why Ermita Santa Lucia (Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala):
We love this place! Antigua is delightful, but some parts of town are a bit loud. Our place is quiet and has amazing views of the volcanos, and we can walk to everything.
