Good location, tired apartment
Don’t go if you are over 5,10”, the bathroom ceiling is low. Kitchen cabinets need repair, washing machine needs to have a spin cycle and the couch is in terrible shape. Bed is comfy, location great.
Thanks for your review, but I'm sorry you didn't have a good stay. I find the two stars unwarranted if this is due to the height of the bathroom and kitchen, because these were clearly mentioned in the description of the apartment and are also evident from the pictures there. As for the washing machine, it is in perfect working order and also has a spin feature, I am surprirsed that you couldn't get to use it, as there are instructions in English in the apartment's notebook and as Sara explained at check-in, you could have written or called us (we have a 24h emergency number that's always turned on). We would have come right away to help you, our office is just a two minute walk from the flat exactly so we can be up and running in case of any issues or requests from our clients. I hope to welcome you again in the future and that your next stay will be more enjoyable. Emanuele
Simple apartment in a good location.
Emmanuel was a great host, excellent communications and very helpful upon meeting us at the property to accommodate our needs with respect to checkout times.
The flat’s location was excellent for the Vatican (a significant reason for our trip was attending Easter Day mass there). It was also easily walkable to the Piazza Navona and Pantheon area. We travelled with our 3 month old son which meant we found it very helpful that the apartment was on the ground floor.
The apartment is furnished simply making our stay comfortable and meeting our expectations without ever exceeding them. One small downside was that the shower head is not attached to the wall and with no shower curtain it meant taking baths or accepting water across the whole bathroom. Other than that the flat was as advertised, clean and warm and we made use of the small kitchen a few times and were able to cook simple meals with no problems.
Cute place right by the Vatican!
This place was adorable and plenty of room for two people to stay! It was more then we needed! The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had most of what we needed (needs another wine glass) and a spacious bathroom. Only complaint was the bathtub/shower. Couldn’t shower in it really and it really short.
If you’re looking for a cute and clean place to stay with shops and gelato next to you, this is the place for you!
You must go to Sweet Life right down the road. AMAZING gelato!
Easy access to everything a tourist would want to see in Rome. Efficient accommodations. Property manager was welcoming and informative.
Home away from Home!
Al Vicolo was perfect! Staying there felt like Rome was home. There was also a goodie basket for us with Champagne, pasta, cake, candy, etc for us. It was the perfect gift to bring in the New Year. Sara was awesome. She was there upon arrival waiting for us. She is very professional and available to answer questions about Rome, the apartment and even traveling advice. Al Vicolo is the perfect size with a bedroom, loft and sofa bed. The ceiling in the bathroom and kitchen is a bit low but it wasn't too big of a problem. Rome was cold upon our arrival but the apartment was nice and cozy.
The apartment is in the most perfect location. It was a short walk to The Vatican, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia (where we welcomed the New Year) and other amazing places. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to friends and family. I can go on and on about this place! I can't wait to visit Rome again.
Perfect location for the best sights in Rome
I cannot give this apartment and Emanuele and Sara enough stars! It has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit Rome and a long overdue honeymoon for my husband and I. We wanted to experience Rome a part from a generic hotel stay and wanted to simply be planted where we could experience it like a local. I am tempted to keep this place a secret as it was my favorite stay in all of Italy! Upon arrival to Rome, we experienced the common traveler nightmare of losing our luggage in Germany. Emanuele and Sara were always available and ready to help as needed and Emanuele even offered to contact the airport and converse in Italian to make arrangements to have our luggage delivered to his office. It was such a kind gesture and service as we were worried that we may never get it back. 2 days later we did receive our luggage and were back on track with our vacation. The apartment is an absolute Gem for someone who doesn't want all the hustle and bustle of the city noise and tourists. It was located walking distance to most of my favorite sights and amidst some of the most beautiful cobblestone streets I've ever seen. The apartment itself is a homey little refuge and very clean with everything one may need along with a very comfy bed! We did our laundry there but regretted hanging mistakenly to dry in the small outside area where the washer is located. There is not a super convenient place to dry your clothes here as there is no where directly in the sun to hang them. It may be a good idea to bring a little clothesline. small grocery markets are just minutes away by foot so it is very convenient to cook breakfast, etc in the little kitchen. We stayed for 6 days and rented bikes in Campo di Fiori the last 2 days and were able to experience Rome in such an exciting way. This little place allowed us to have the best time of our lives and we cannot wait to come back and do it again! Thank you Emanuele and Sara!
