About Ann and Steve Kremer

Portland Furnished Apartments has been owned and operated by Steve and Ann Kremer since 2000, when fate intervened and the pair met. At that time, Ann was a travelling Occupational Therapist with many extended assignments. She lived in quite a few furnished apartments, some of which were nice and comfortable like a home should be, and some of which weren’t. They decided there was a need for quality, safe housing for professionals and tourists visiting Maine under similar circumstances.

Steve is a CPA with a busy tax and accounting practice in the Old Port section of Portland. They are fortunate to split their time between their island beach house on Long Island, Maine (a few miles from Portland in Casco Bay) and wintering in the Naples, Florida area.

Thanks to Steve and Ann’s hard work and customer service, Portland Furnished Apartments has flourished. PFA now serves clients throughout the corporate world as well as those who come to Portland simply to enjoy Maine’s climate and lifestyle.

Ann and Steve Kremer purchased this apartment in 2002

Notes:
Portland--Maine's largest city is considered small by national standards—its population is just 64,000—but its character, spirit, and appeal make it feel much larger. In fact, it is a cultural and economic center for a metropolitan area of 230,000 residents—almost one-quarter of Maine's entire population.

Perfect Portland Location!

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in this great rental for our week long stay in Portland. It is the absolute perfect location! We loved the walk-ability of this home. From the gorgeous promenade to the many shops, restaurants and bars in Old Port all within walking distance, we could have easily gone without a car. Thanks to Ann and Steve for being such great hosts :)

Lovely and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. It had a lovely view of the bay from the porch and easy access to restaurants and the historical downtown area by car. There is a walking/biking path on the bay about a block from the apartment.

This was the perfect place to set off on day trips to many incredible places on the Southern/Mid coast of Maine. A wonderful restaurant, Lolita's, is about 3 blocks from the apartment. We ate there twice.

Great experience

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time visiting Portland. We were lucky enough to be able to rent this apartment. It's in a very nice location right across from the water and a great park area. The apartment was immaculate. It's very comfortable and has the charm of an old home. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need - glasses, plates, cups, etc. Ann provides the little things that make your stay a little easier - bar soap, extra toilet paper, laundry detergent. It really shows her attention to detail. There is a good restaurant within walking distance from the apartment (2 blocks) - The Front Room. Recommend it. But if you are looking to venture out of the neighborhood, Ann has a great binder with all kinds of restaurant recommendations. Very helpful. The city is very walkable and has a young vibe. Thanks Ann for a great visit!!

We enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the bay and the islands. Very convenient to go for walks and biking or heading down town for dinner. We would stay again.

Great Rental

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Portland. It was our 1st time renting through VRBO and it was a very pleasant experience. The unit is large and in a great location. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch each morning with our coffee and then again in the evening with our wine, taking in the water view. A word of caution....don't forget your key when sitting out...we did and got locked out, but luckily for us our nice upstairs neighbors came along so we were able to get back in relatively soon! Ann, sorry we didn't get a chance to meet you, but maybe next time! We plan on returning and would recommend this rental to friends.
