I really enjoy the vacation rental industry. I have owned and operated rentals for over 15 years in 3 different states with many happy returning guests. Working with a wide range of clientele, I've really been able to learn the needs and wants from my guests when it comes to vacation rentals and the "must haves" in them. I strive to be personal with each client making sure they know I'm doing my best so they can enjoy the best.

The home is located in a quiet friendly wooded neighborhood. You wake up to the sound of birds outside your window. The backyard is amazing surrounded by redwoods and pines and maple trees. its so peaceful and yet still in town.
I really enjoy the location of our home in Cutten (Eureka) California. This is always the sunnier part of town. Quiet serene beautiful setting backing up against a great community forest area. You will enjoy the smell of the pine and redwood trees only a few steps away from the house. Close to walking trails and beaches, A great attraction, Sequoia Park Zoo is a short 10 minute walk from the house. The house has an extra large deck on both levels for entertaining your family and guests. Shuttle service available to and from Arcata Eureka Airports.
We were awed.

Stunning property on a quiet street. Super clean and comfortable. DEFINITELY recommend!
Great neighborhood, quiet subdivision, quaintly decorated, awesome kitchen, great backyard.
This home is beautiful and was just as shown in the photos. The master bedroom suite is a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day. Our group included adults and boys aged 3 to 12. We brought lots of toys and there was plenty of indoor space for them and the boys loved eating at the kitchen counter sitting on the bar stools. The kitchen had everything needed for a great stay. One item we would have found useful would be a list of restaurant suggestions. Also an explanation of how to operate the tv/vcr etc. We found the owner to be super helpful and very responsive to our questions. Will definitely want to stay again.
Home is beautiful, well maintained, in a very desireable neighborhood and close to everything. Furnishing are even nicer than the pictures on the internet. Beds are extremely comfortable. Kitchen is complete with enough appliances, pots and pans to prepare a feast. Court is a gracious host and very approachable. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.
We had a fantastic time staying there. The house absolutely exceeded our expectations and more. It was nice meeting your neighbors. They had recommended some trails nearby for us to take a walk. There was plenty of room for everyone. If we are coming back to the area we'll definitely be renting this house again. Décor was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely make sure to keep a watchful eye on young children staying there. Court was easy to work with when coordinating arrivals as we weren't able to get there day of stay. Thank you so much!
We loved staying at your rental...your house is very beautiful and decorated so well! The beds were awesome and we had plenty of room to roam. We didn't let our little late night guest interfere with our stay! It actually, made it a little exciting!! If, we are ever in the area, will will be renting this house again! Thanks so much!!
EUREKA ZOO: (Walking distance) Occupying about 5 acres of land in Eureka, California, Sequoia Park Zoo is one of the smallest zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It is the only accredited zoological park between San Francisco and Portland. Home to a small, carefully selected stable of animals, the Sequoia Park Zoo takes great pride in its unique position and its ability to bring nature and exotic animals to nearly half a million people every year.
The Sequoia Park Zoo first opened in 1907. In its 102 years, it has taken as its mission 'to inspire wonder, understanding, and respect for the natural world by providing fun, rewarding, educational experiences that encourage meaningful connections between animals, humans, and our environment.'' Its animal exhibits and activities have been bringing wonder, understanding and fun to area residents for generations.
Popular with families and children, the zoo's Barnyard exhibit is a collection of domestic and farm animals including donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and other animals that are familiar to most children. The Barnyard includes a Contact Corral where children can touch and pet animals and even groom the sheep and goats. The Kids Koop offers fun activities like Nellie, the interactive pretend goat for milking, and Arnold the stationary pony.
The newly renovated aviary is home to dozens of local and tropical birds. It offers a naturalized environment for the birds, and a walking path with comfortable benches for visitors. The birds include Cedar waxwings and red-crested turaco, and the honored Sacred Ibis, who has been known to approach visitors if they are still and quiet.
The newest addition to the Sequoia Park Zoo is the Secrets of the Forest exhibit, a naturalized environmental exhibit that houses an entire miniature ecosystem. Secrets of the Forest inhabitants include native pond turtles, garter snakes and other small animals. The zoo even includes the banana slugs, termites and local birds.
The Sequoia Park Zoo offers frequent activities for families and adults. The popular Brew at the Zoo is an annual event that includes sampling brews by local brewers, live music and pub-style food. Another adults only annual event, the Zootini, is a costume party featuring Zootinis, fun and food.
The zoo also runs several summer class/camps for kids ages 5-11. Each session is age-appropriate for specific groups, and themed to appeal to those age groups. What 8-1l year old wouldn't enjoy a course in Animal Grossology or South American Safari? The zoo is managed by the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation, and funded through a combination of contributions and fund raising throughout the year, which helps keeps activities like this possible for families.
The Sequoia Park Zoo is open Tuesday through Sundays year round, from 10 AM to 7 PM in the summer, 10 AM to 5 PM in the winter. Some exhibits close earlier. Admission prices range from $2 to $4, with discounts to Eureka residents. For more information on admissions and hours, contact the Sequoia Park Zoo at (707) 441-4263 (recording).
COLLEGE COVE: Protected from the wind and big surf, College Cove is among the most popular places for surfing in Humboldt County. Some say it is on par with Hawaii, if not for the swells that attract local surfers then for the crowds of young singles who come here to sunbathe and enjoy the sun and sand.
College Cove is divided into two beach sections. College Cove North attracts the more traditional beachgoers and visitors for volleyball, jogging, and swimming. It is relatively easy to reach from the north end of the dirt parking lot by following a path that has steps leading down to the shore. College Cove South is for the more adventurous and a bit harder to reach. Take the steep and eroded trail that starts at the south end of the parking area. It is not so difficult going down, but the return trip can be a chore.
Both beach areas have plenty of sand and driftwood, but no park facilities. The two sections are both considered œclothing optional by local residents, although as many as half the visitors at College Cove South may go au natural, compared only a few at the north beach. As with most naturist beaches in California, the nudity laws can be a bit vague, so sun worshippers go bare at their own risk.
MADAKET: The Madaket is a commercial cruise ship that takes passengers on rides in the Humboldt Bay in Samoa, California. It is the final boat of its original seven boat fleet and was originally used to ferry mill workers and their families around the bay. When the Samoa Bridge opened in the early 1970's, there was no longer a need for the ferry, but it stayed in operation as a tourist ship. The boat has been in operation since 1910 and has undergone name changes and a refurbishing in the late 1980's. Today, the boat is one of the most recognizable parts of the Eureka and Samoa waterfront and is the oldest ship in continuous service in the country
