My name is Brandon Mullenberg and this is unit Hokulani 142 at Honua Kai.

ABOUT THIS CONDO: This unit is a 2 bed / 1 bath condo. It is located in Hokulani tower (facing my other units in the Konea tower). Like my others, it is in the heart of Honua Kai Resort on the GROUND floor. This condo includes everything you could possibly want for a time away from home. Smack dab in the middle of Honua Kai, it offers less neighborly foot traffic than inner courtyard units, and has the extra convenience of just walking out of the lanai and being just a quick minute away from the resorts many pools and the amazing Dukes Restaurant. Just outside the room to this condo is the Hokulani fish pond with morning fish feedings and the wonderful Aina Gourmet Market and Cafe.

Our condo, Honua Kai Unit # Hokulani 142 is a brand new super clean, 950 square foot (plus 190 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR hotel condominium. Just recently built in 2008, Honua Kai condo's and the resort offers many wonderful modern amenities. And just when you could not ask for more, many extra personal touches from a proud owner are visible in the condo such as iHome alarm clocks, upgraded tv in living, keyed lanai, vitamix blender, Amazon Echo with Spotify music, bathroom dryer rack, bathroom stools, and many other owner supplied goodies for your use such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, a pack n play, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

The family friendly Ground Floor units include many bonuses not offered on any of the floors above. Extra tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the after market keyed Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the resort and a peak of the West Maui mountains.

With a king Bed with luxurious linens in the master, and a gigantic Full over Full Bunk Bed in the second bedroom and a Queen sofa sleeper in the living room this condo is a perfectly comfortable fit for up to 6 adults. Each bedroom and living have their own HD flat screen TV's and cable. In addition, the living room features a wall mounted 65" 4k smart TV and a Blu-Ray DVD player. Wireless AC Fast Internet is also included free of charge.

I grew up and we currently live in Seattle, WA. My wife grew up in the Czech Republic. We have 3 little ones. A handsome 6 year old boy, a beautiful 5 year old girl, and our youngest boy is 2 years old. Our favorite getaway spot is Maui and Honua Kai.

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai Resort for the first time in 2009, we fell in love with this place. It was perfect for us. We have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai Resort was the answer for us and that was what initially brought me to purchase my first condo at Honua Kai. Since then I have purchased 5 more ground floor units and now have 6. In my opinion ground floor units are the most convenient and the absolute best. They have quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. We just love this place.

Exceptional Unit

Briefly, we love this unit, resort and the owner we rented from. We will be coming back.

The unit was clean, neat and beautiful. The resort amenities were great; coffee and general store, Dukes, 3 or 4 pools (depending if you count the 'adults only' pool), close to the beach, huge area to 'run' the kids, close to great off-site restaurants, bars, shops, golf, etc..

We really enjoyed the fact that we could walk right outside the unit to our patio, grass or seconds to the beach, pool, food or bar!

We had a great experience. When we did need help with something (maintenance, valet, the manager, the owner), they were responsive and pleasant and are NOT on 'island time', they are on big city, new technology times; almost instant response time!

Honua Kai was top-notch!

Our family just loved here. This was our first time staying in Maui as a family and everything was splendid! The owner was super informative in his welcome letter, giving all sorts of useful information from grocery shopping to kid friendly beaches near by to pretty much anything you wanted to do. This unit was fully stocked full of sand and beach toys such as beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear and a cooler that you can take to the beach with you. The kids just loved the double on double bunk beds that this unit offered. The wifi for night time use after long days out in the sun was just super fast and steady. The big screen tv in this unit was also a pleasant bonus with lots of HD content.

I would definitely recommend staying here for families with children as this resort pretty offers everything that you need.

We will definitely be back, but next time since the facilities are so stocked with everything in the kitchen and the Bbq's onsite, we will be doing more cooking at the resort after taking the recommendation from the owner to go to Costco after getting in, since Costco so close to the airport.

The pools were great for kids of all ages as there are also many hot tubs with many different types of pools like water slide, lazy river or kiddie pools.

When we were first arrived, there was a box of chocolates provided that also a pleasant surprise.

Appliances were all top of the line kind of stuff with icemaker and there even is a Vitamix blender for your protein shakes and juices!

The owner even checked in with us via email to make sure everything was going well on our trip which just shows the level of commitment he has and how proud he is with his property and how well he takes care of his customers. Made us feel at home, even though we were thousands of miles away!

We'll definitely be back and look forward to planning our next trip here already!

Absolutely gorgeous

I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The condo is beautifully decorated, fully stocked with everything we needed, close to the pool and beach. Also close to the entrance for easy in and out to the parking lot. We loved everything about it. If we ever make it back I'll definitely choose this same property number.

Beautiful and homey

We loved our stay here. It had everything we needed for a weeks worth of fun. It was very clean and spacious for a family of 4. They had boogie boards, beach chairs, goggles, beach umbrella, etc. There was a play pen n high chair too but we didn't need those. There is no ocean view but your right on a grassy yard for the kids to run and pool is just down the corner. I can't say enough about this resort and beaches. I love this area of Maui and the people. The staff at this resort are so wonderful too. You get to park in the parking garage with your own key card so it saved us from tipping valet every time we came and went. We did rent snorkel gear but do that in Lahaina at Snorkel Bob's (great people and great prices). The owner of this property was easy to work with and always responded promptly if I had a concern . My kids loved the bunk beds. I will for sure return.

Amazing time in Maui!!

My family rented unit 142 and I can't say enough about how beautiful both the condo and the property are! The condo was very spacious with a huge bathroom! Upgraded & Modern decor and super comfy beds!! The unit is centrally located by the main pool and Dukes Restaurant. Main level condo is super convenient for luggage and groceries. The beach chairs and snorkel equipment provided in the unit were put to good use! The snorkeling beachfront at the resort was breathtaking! The owner of the unit was extremely helpful and thoughtful throughout our trip. He provided a very helpful information packet prior to our arrival and checked in with us to make sure our arrival was smooth. He has a property manager on site who is also fantastic! I would highly recommend this unit (and owner) to anyone who is visiting Maui!! You will feel right at home!
