About Al and Patty Walton
Patty was born and raised in Boyne City and was thrilled to be able to return to her hometown with her husband Al. They love all that this area has to offer year-round and call this their 'stay-cation'.
Al and Patty Walton purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Al and Patty Walton chose Boyne City
The view of Lake Charlevoix is stunning. You can start your day on the deck watching the sunrise and later pull out the awning if the sun gets too warm. Keep the lights low and enjoy the wonderful starry sky at night. This home is bright yet cozy and we have renovated it as if we were going to rent ourselves.
What makes this Cottage unique
Golf, skiing, biking, fishing, boating, hiking, walking, swimming all right here. Festivals everyweekend , farmers market Wed and Sat and Boyne City 'Stroll the Streets' with music and events every Friday evening throughout the summer. Concerts, shopping, restaurants all within 1- 30miles. There is more to do than you will have time--- as you will want to also relax, read a book and take a nap.

Enjoyed Our Stay - Nice Place and Location
We enjoyed our recent stay. The property was in a good location and the view of Lake Charlevoix from the front deck was outstanding. The house was very clean and had just about everything we needed while we were there. The owners being next door was very convenient when we had questions. All in all it was excellent.
Very nice and spacious with an awesome view!
We arrived late but the lights were on and the house was warm! Met with Patty (nice lady) the next morning who told us about things to see and do in the area. We had a three day getaway with a great place to stay in the beautiful area of Lake Charlevoix.
Convenient and welcoming stay!
The property was exactly as represented and provided plenty of flexibility for the (5) of us that stayed for the weekend. The location is an easy drive into town, to Boyne Mountain and offers a great view of the lake! Patty promptly responded to all emails and came over to meet us on our first day there. Will definitely try to stay here again during our next visit!
Very nice and clean. Exactly what we wanted!!
Al and Patty were very accommodating!!!
Patty and Al are fabulous hosts. Patty promptly responded to our inquiries and needs. Their home is very well equipped and well cared for. All appliances and baths are in perfect working order and the home is very clean. The views of Lake Charlevoix are beautiful from the entire front of home. Pictures do not do this home justice. Only one mile from Somerset Marina is perfect for boating. It is evident Patty and Al take pride in ownership of their properties. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
This location is located where you can enjoy the Lakeview and view of Boyne City right from the front deck. Summer you can see the 4th of July Fireworks and enjoy the rising sun. This bay stays calm when standard Northwest winds come up.
Fall - watch the changing colors and enjoy the many wonderful leaf peaking drives. Many days are warm and sunny. The Farmers Markets continue and the Apple and Harvest festivals are worth the trip.
Winter: Pure Winter white and perfect for a drive to Boyne Mountain for skiing or Young State Park for cross country. Mid Winter--- the Lake is frozen- so the ice fishing begins.
