The upper gallery overlooks the beautiful, two story Living Room with handsome bookshelves, mantel and gas fireplace for those chilly Spring and Fall evenings. The skylights fill the room with light. Curl up on the huge sofa to watch your favor TV show on the HDTV.

The Dining Room seats 8 comfortably in slip-covered chairs at the round glass table.

Gather in the modern, fully equipped Kitchen while meals are prepared. Take a seat on the 4 bar stools at the granite kitchen island or on the comfy wicker settee and chair. Enjoy all new beautiful dishes, barware, flatware, pots and pans and, of course, the Keurig.

The Third Bedroom features a queen mahogany, rice carved poster bed, antique chest, 2 chairs, HDTV, walk in closet, and en-suite bath with double vanity, linen closet, and tub shower with glass door. More custom bed linens and draperies will be enjoyed as well as the hand painted starfish in the bath.

The three season porch has windows that can close for cooler days and open for warm sunny times. The lovely wicker furniture makes this screened porch the perfect spot for relaxation.

Just off the porch is the dining patio with a large table and seating for 8 under the huge umbrella. Take your steaks right off the charcoal grill to the dining table.

Walk from the dining patio, through the gate to the swimming pool. The Turtle Fountain will greet you. The fountain and 4 deck sprayers can be turned on to thrill the children and cool the pool. Lounge on the Woodward patio furniture pool side while you soak up the sun. Take a peek inside the pool shed for beach chairs, charcoal and toys.

Before swimming or after your return from the beach, enjoy the outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

The home has central heating and air conditioning with dual zoning.

This is a delightful, upscale beach cottage perfect for both adult and family vacations.

About Debbie Harvey

I was born and raised in fabulous Sussex County and spent my summers 'at the beach' in my grandparents' cottage on Hickman Street, where my brother still lives today. We rode our bikes on the Boardwalk in the mornings. Mommie packed us lunch and took us to the beach every afternoon. We swam, hunted for shells, sunned, read, napped under the umbrella and returned happily 'brown as berries' (sometimes, red as lobsters). My brother was genius at skim boarding. We showered off the day outside in the Sand Shower - Awesome! Daddy always had croquet set up for a nice game before dinner. Evenings were spent on the Boards at Funland, eating Dolles' popcorn, ice cream or chocolates at Candy Kitchen. When we were teens, there was volleyball under the lights on the beach. When my own 4 children were young, I wanted them to share the Rehoboth experience. I had the great, good fortune to buy a wonderful home on Pennsylvania Avenue. Later the Oak Cottage (Homeaway #3518899ha) was purchased and lovingly renovated and refurnished. Vera Bradley bedspreads, beautiful dishes, original art, central air-conditioning and a huge porch on which your entire family can stretch out, relax, dine, snooze, read, play games, make the Oak Cottage a home I can share with others looking for a classic, family beach vacation. In August 2013, I purchased the Turtle's Nest Cottage and have spent the last 6 months doing a complete renovation including the addition of a wonderful swimming pool. This is a luxury cottage designed and decorated for those who want the finest quality and home away from home experience.

Did I mention we love to dance!

Why Debbie Harvey chose Rehoboth Beach

I love this cottage because the 'bones' of the Turtle Nest Cottage are perfect ~ large, graceful rooms with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. There is a spot for everyone and every activity. The open Front Porch has a wicker settee and 2 wicker chairs for that early morning cup of coffee with the newspaper. The 3 Season, Screened Porch on the back of the cottage is just through the Dining Room sliding doors with easy access to and from the Kitchen. Curl up in the shade with a book or enjoy cocktails on the wicker sofa and chairs. Very comfy. Just off the Screened Porch, is the Dining Patio with seating under the umbrella and the nearby hot and cold Sand Shower. In the side yard you will enjoy the new Swimming Pool with sun and shade areas, seating and dining areas. The circular drive allows up to 4 cars to be parked off the street. The bedrooms are all en-suite for ultimate privacy and comfort. Every bedroom has it's own HDTV and walk in closet, queen beds and seating. It is a dream cottage in a dream location. Walk along Silver Lake and up to the beach in less than 10 minutes.

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful home!! My family stayed at the turtles nest in early May. We couldn't have been more pleased with what the house had to offer. The house is a short 10 min walk to downtown and the beach. We walked to get coffee (coffee mill) each morning and walked back again in the afternoon for the beach. We have two small children so I wanted to leave some things for kids to do for any future visiting families. There is a playground called Tot Lot located on Stockley st (10 min walk). There are friendly geese and turtles in the pond next to the playground. The boardwalk has two arcades that my daughter loved ( Funland too!) Of course the pool is incredible but sadly the weather wasn't warm enough for a dip. Turles nest has a small grassy backyard where the kids enjoyed playing. The house isn't childproof but that was an easy fix by putting breakables away. We will certainly be back!

Owner's Response: Hi Sarah, Thank you for the review! We are so glad to hear that you and your family had a great time and enjoyed my home. I'm happy to hear that you found the turtles that gave my home its name. I'm sorry that the weather didn't allow you to enjoy the pool. That's always a big hit with the little ones. We look forward to having you back again in the near future. Debra

This is our third stay at the Turtles Nest and it was fabulous.

  • 5 of 5

The bed and bath arrangements are perfect for our growing family and the common areas are spacious and functional. We enjoyed cards in the screened in porch at night which allowed for lots of laughter without disturbing two sleeping children. The beach is a pleasant and comfortable stroll from the house and the salt water pool and outdoor space was our primary lounging choice. The kitchen is well stocked and served us well for dinner prep and dining. The outdoor dining table helped enable a serious evening of crab picking and adult beverages. We love this house and location and made beautiful memories again this year!

Owner's Response: I am so happy that you find the house perfect for your vacations year after year. The best advertisement for the house is the fact that I have so many wonderful repeat renters who make a tradition of coming to my home to relax and enjoy themselves. It truly is a great location...just close enough to everything that it's easy to get around town from the house yet far enough to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the attractions that you can just relax and take in the salt air. The house is spacious enough so that you're not tripping over each other when the whole group is together yet it still retains that quaint cottage feel that immediately makes you feel at home. Looking forward to seeing you again next year! Debra

Beautiful and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed at the Turtles Nest Cottage in May. The home is beautiful, fully equipped with the essentials and we all were very comfortable! The pool is amazing and it was so nice being walking distance from so many things in the area. From the beginning, Debra and Marc were very kind and quick to help/answer any questions. Upon arrival, Brett was also very nice and accommodating with checking in and our departure. We loved our stay and appreciate everyone's help and time with making our trip wonderful and a success!

Nicely decorated, but......

  • 3 of 5

Turtle's Nest Cove is a charming house with many nice amenities. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The proximity to downtown was excellent, and very convenient to many fabulous golf courses. However, the noise coming from the pool equipment is very loud, and can be heard from almost everywhere in the house. It is continually running. Except for the bedroom directly above the kitchen/dining area, sleeping in either of the other two bedrooms is next to impossible!

Owner's Response: Hi Kathy, Thank you for writing a review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the home and am sorry that you had a problem with the noise from the pool pump. No one has reported that to me before so I'll have to get it looked at. We'd love to have you back again next year. Sincerely, Debra.
