About Katie Kelly

My husband and I currently live in Saginaw with our 2 young children. We have been visiting Traverse City for years and hope that you fall in love with this area as much as we have!

Katie Kelly purchased this condo in 2014

Why Katie Kelly chose Northwest

We have been renting in this building for years and have had no complaints, especially when it comes to location.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is as fresh as we could make it! I wanted it to feel clean and new so that anyone renting it would feel right at home. I love the special touches that we have added to this property...the artwork, furniture and finishes makes it our home away from home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and I stayed in this unit for New Years Eve with our 2 young children and it was great! The condo is clean, and in a great location. The owners were very accommodating and quick to respond both before, during and after our stay.

Well stocked with dishes and pans. Very roomy feel. Master sweet is beautiful. Walking distance to parks beach restaurants. A little far to walk all over but city has good parking lots free in the evening. Quiet neighborhood.

Great Location & Perfect for Families

  • 5 of 5

We had a great overall experience with this vacation rental. The condo was in a perfect location, clean, and had everything we needed for our family. Our 2-year old especially liked that it was across the street from an awesome train-themed playground. The owners provided clear instructions and were very timely in their communications. Definitely recommend this condo for a Traverse City vacation.

Very clean and comfortable. Appreciated laundry facilities. Easy walking distance to downtown. Beautifully decorated felt like home. Wish the bedroom windows had better light blocking window treatments. Would definitely return.

Accessible unit that is actually accessible!

  • 5 of 5

Slightly delayed in posting this, but as a wheelchair user I'm always nervous to see what non-wheelchair users actually deem as "accessible". To my relief and enjoyment this unit is actually wheelchair accessible! One note, the "walk-in" style shower does have a pretty big lip, so if you require the use of a shower chair, it can't just be rolled in. It has to lifted up into the shower. Otherwise, this condo is legit! We are already planning a return trip for 2017 and this place will be the first place I contact. Very spacious layout inside for easy maneuvering. It's a standard house grade carpet as far as height goes, so may be slightly tough for manual pushing; no problem for my power chair.

Owners were very cooperative and responded quickly with any questions I had.

Nearest Beach
0.1 Miles
Clinch Park Beach
Car: not necessary

Our condo is located right downtown within walking distance to festivals, the beach, Clinch Park marina, shopping, dining, TART trail, boat rentals, bars, etc.

If you want to get out on the water but parasailing or fishing is not your thing try a relaxing sunset tour on the Nauti Cat!

Clinch Park is 2 blocks west and has a new splash park and play ground for the kids, a movie theater, as well as kayak and paddle board rentals and a cafe and ice cream shop! There is often live music as well. Enjoy the day relaxing in the adirondack chairs or lounging by the crystal clear water on the white sandy beach! Venture downtown and explore the unique shops, restaurants and festivals!

A few recommendations for lunch or dinner would include North Peak Brewery, 7 Monks for a huge variety of craft beers and artisan food.

Dinner - Poppycocks has a great menu and killer desserts. Red Ginger is one of our favorites but you almost always need a reservation well in advance. Little Fleet is family friendly and has A-List food in the form of food trucks along with a great outdoor/indoor bar to grab a drink. The Blue Tractor has great food and is located in old town TC...about a 10 minute walk from the condo. Stella is located in the old asylum located on the west side of town, you would need to drive or take a cab. The asylum is full of unique shops so be sure to go early and check it out!

Breakfast - Amical is a french restaurant with an amazing brunch.

A short drive will take you to Mission Peninsula which is home to some of the best wineries, including the newest chateau, Bonobo (opening summer 2014) which is owned by Carter Oosterhouse and Amy Smart! Keep driving north and stop in for lunch or dinner at The Jolly Pumpkin...another favorite! Expect a wait, but it's worth it! Keep driving north and you will come to the tip of the peninsula where there is a little park, beautiful beach and lighthouse.

Leland is about a 30 minute drive up the famous M-22 highway. The drive is beautiful in itself, but make sure to stop in Leland which is also known as historic Fish Town. Be sure to eat at the Cove and order it's famous drink, the Chubby Mary. It's a Michigan spin on a Bloody Mary that is served with a smoked Chub and crackers. There are numerous wineries near Leland or you can walk on the beach and look for Petoskey stones or the Leland Blue stones.
