Cute and cozy, with a beautiful view of the lake & mountain.

We took a weekend trip to the Chalet looking for family fun in the snow. It was late March so we were doubting the snow would happen, but the mountain left us just enough for the kiddos to play/sled in! The hike to the lake is an Adventure but worth it to skip rocks onto the frozen Lake. Hot tub was fantastic! We turned it up right when we got there and it was a perfect way to end the day after chasing after kids and the dog. We had 6 adults and 2 small kids on our group, although the sleeping arrangements were perfect there was only one bathroom and a studio apt style living/kitchen area. For this reason I don't recommend putting that many people. Also the wide stairs that connect the mud room to the living room are a problem for parents of crawlers/early walkers. My husband, 4 yr old and I would definitely come to the Chalet again but with a much smaller crowd😉?

Cozy cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at this cabin. it was very cozy and we loved the wood fire. The only problem I would say is that the heater in the downstairs room was on all the time so it did get hot in the room. Other then that we had an great time and would rent this place again

Nice but with a few manageable issues.

  • 4 of 5

Really nice cabin across the street from the lake. The pictures for this cabins booking ad do not tell the whole story of its location. It is across a two lane highway from the lake-the pictures do not represent this. The road is not very busy except for heavy trucks coming and going from a quarry. It did not really bother us but is loud would have me keeping a good eye on little kids and pets. The cabin was clean and nicely appointed. The biggest disappointment was the hot tub was a luke warm tub. 90 degrees max and is very visible from the road. No secrets from the neighbors here. Positive was the mountain view across the lake and the wood stove was really nice.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lake Wenatchee Chalet. My 5 yr old absolutely loved it. The view is pretty, and we had lots of privacy. The hot tub was really nice. The kitchen is nicely stocked for cooking. The microwave needed to be replaced, as the door was cracked. But the cabin was ideal.

Sadly Disappointed

  • 1 of 5

Where do I begin... First I want to say the management company was cooperative with making our stay as comfortable as possible.

We booked Lake Wenatchee Chalet for a week in August 2016. This trip was a family trip for our kids: Our daughter, husband and two children. It was to be a relaxing trip enjoying the lake, swimming, fishing, and soaking up the sun. And it was just that except the house was not at all what we expected.

The pictures and write up of the house is misleading. If you are looking for a rustic dirty cabin this is the place for you. Upon arrival I had to request to have the house cleaned. Sticky doors and cabinets. The house came with a stackable washer and dryer. The dryer made a loud noise and tore our clothes. Management eventually came and put in another old used unit. The shower head in the shower was broken; water sprayed everywhere because they installed a shower head with a long hose. Kids could not manage it. Management eventually came and installed a proper shower head. (also the shower stall is old with a sliding door) The back door latch did not work; so you were constantly trying to close the door. The refrigerator leaked water onto our food. If you want to enjoy the outdoor patio bring your own chase lounge. Theirs is dirty and looks like it came from the dumpster.

The house sits on a busier than expected road. Lots of heavy equipment trucks driving by. The peak a boo view of the lake is just that.

This house could be nice if it were properly maintained. It needs all new appliances, new interior paint, a new shower stall, and the patio needs to be cleaned with new patio furniture.

Again, if a rustic cabin is what you’re are looking for then this house would work.

I look forward to staying in Lake Wenatchee again, just hoping for a much better house.

Owner's Response: Hello Tamara, thank you for choosing Mysty Mountain Properties and sharing your feedback! We do take it to heart and appreciate all suggestions for improvement from our guests. I'm sorry this stay fell short of your expectations. Property care has addressed most if not all of these issues since your stay in fall of 2016, and will continue to tend faithfully to the cabin as needed. It is important to us that our guests have a fantastic experience whenever possible. Lake Wenatchee Highway does run in front of the property as pictured, but it is actually a local access road with no outlet, so traffic is thankfully limited. We'd be happy to offer a discount on a future stay with us, if you were willing to give us another opportunity to provide you with an excellent mountain vacation. Sincere thanks, Mysty Mountain Properties

A Lovely Winter Weekend Away

  • 5 of 5

We had 2 couples and 2 dogs staying here and were very comfortable. We love that this place is pet-friendly - they even had an extra dog bed and designated dog towels, which was perfect for our pups after we got back from a snowy hike in Lake Wenatchee State Park up the road. For a winter weekend, the hot tub was amazing (can't beat a beautiful lake and mountain view from the tub). There was a stocked woodshed ready for us and it was lovely to cozy up in front of the wood stove in the living room. Overall, we had a great time and I highly recommend this place - I would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the backyard fire pit and the nearby recreation options. We didn't make it to Leavenworth but it's proximity should be a draw to people looking to stay here.
