The property is in a quiet country setting just 10 minutes from town. The town has all major stores and services. The outdoor pool, bbq seem to get all the attention during the summer. We do however have a very cool air conditioned home for those who find it too warm outside. We are fortunate to be surrounded by wineries, golf courses and parks. We have a flat cycling trail running past the property. It runs 40 km north /south and is suitable for all ages. Hiking trails are also within minutes of the property.

As a sales rep based in Vancouver I came to the area regularly. I loved the dry desert climate. I loved the lakes and the mountains.
After living in Vancouver for 12 years this quiet little place seemed like heaven on earth. No street lights,no sirens,no traffic jams. Just big sky. Bright stars.Nature(sometimes 30 deer on the front lawn) The people here are kind and friendly. There is a sense of community.
This log home on five acres was a dream come true. The Vineyard setting is truly beautiful. After a lifetime in the city moving to the country was an adventure. The property is perfectly self contained for vacation groups in the summer months. We also run a fall fitness retreat where people come for periods as short as four days and as long as a month. We have a staff of fitness professionals available to guide guests through different levels of fitness, weight loss and nutrition modification.
We gathered at the Canyon House for a Thanksgiving reunion and fell in love with the property! It had everything we needed to make us feel warm and cozy and at home.Tony welcomed us and was accommodating and friendly. We hope to return next year, as it felt like our home away from home!!!!
6 adults stayed at the Canyon House while on a business trip to Penticton for a week. This was a great alternative to being stuck in a hotel and the house was equipped with everything we needed. The property is beautiful and can only imagine how much nicer it would be once summer comes around. The home was clean and well kept and Tony made sure we were taken care of.
Our family, 17 of us, spent a week here. It was a great holiday, the accommodations were clean, spacious, all the utensils, etc. needed for such a large group were there . Pool table and pingpong helped keep the kids entertained. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and the setting was excellent. Friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommended
Stayed at this property July 4-11 2015. The house is beautiful, in a lovely setting, with good outdoor seating areas and a very nice pool and hot tub. The house was very well stocked and had everything we needed. We were a party of nine adults, one child and my elderly dog. The home owner was very pleasant and helpful, providing new loungers for the pool area and asking if there was anything extra we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this property.
We recently stayed at this property June 27, 2015 for 7 nights. The log home is beautiful and having air conditioning was a necessary feature with temperatures exceeding 35C. Another great feature was the refreshing pool. We didn't use the hot tub much, but it was nice to have it available. There was also table tennis, a media room & a pool table, in case of boredom. The house was very well stocked to support a large group. Our group comprised of 6 adults. We saw a number of deer around the property.
The focus of our stay was to relax and so most of our days were spent at the home around the pool or indoors. The only issue we had was the lack of privacy, as the landlord himself would show up every day, once as early as 8.00 am, to check the pool, hot-tub, mow the 5 acres & generally monitor his property. 5 of our group were aged 40 - 60 yrs old, so that much supervision seemed unnecessary & was certainly unwanted. Checkout was 10.00 am and the cleaners arrived at 10.00 am!! We would have returned next year otherwise.
The southern Okanagan Valley has long been the destination for vacationing families. Warm sunny beaches,Vineyards and golf courses are what draws people to the area year after year. Top notch restaurants, casino nightlife, and summer events are just a few more attractions to semi desert area. Clean warm fresh water lakes make for great swimming and boating.
