Why John Bunnell chose Austin

The drought in Texas is making public access to Lake Travis close to impossible. A house with access to Lake Austin just seemed to make sense.

What makes this house unique

Complimentary use of the boat ramp, park, and pool within Apache Shores.

Roomy and great space for families.

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay here. There are plenty of beds and room to hang out. Kitchen was large and great for cooking. Minutes from the lake. The water pressure was a little low at times, but everything else was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious and clean house with hill country view including a well equipped kitchen and outside grill

  • 5 of 5

The two of us rented and enjoyed the comfort of this house for a two month stay located in a quiet, walkable neighborhood. Owner provided easy anytime house entry and a prompt texting response. A large master bedroom (with queen) and ensuite plus walkin closet including a large screen tv were great comforts. Upstairs bedrooms with full bath are great for additional family or guests. Kitchen appliances are deluxe stainless and washer/dryer are a plus. Startup essentials were provided with great choices for shopping nearby. Cable and movies provided for our rainy days which we had only 2 or 3 our entire two month stay. Garage provided secure inside parking. Our dog was welcome and I appreciated the fenced backyard. Nearby Lakeway Park provided great paved running access with water views. With close proximity to Austin and hill county towns we were able to enjoy many day tips to wineries and local restaurants. Hope to be back next year to experience warm temps and blue bonnets while avoiding northern Michigan winter.

Nice home close to everything

  • 4 of 5

The home was very nice and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay relaxing. We even ventured to the community pool and met some really nice families. There were some minor housekeeping issues that we took care of ourselves, but the owner was very quick to respond and offered to correct immediately which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely suggest staying at this home.

Great Location and Perfect for a Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I came with a large group of friends for a weekend getaway. My cousin who just got married was in a bad accident in the fall and we couldn't do a typical "bachelorette" party so we wanted something low key and this house provided the perfect place for that!

The house is immaculate with a HUGE master with gorgeous bathroom. The two upstairs bedrooms were perfect for the other women who shared the bathroom.

We got in late the first day and cooked a meal for the 6 people there. The kitchen was awesome, there was a huge refrigerator that was perfect for all the groceries we bought to have through the weekend. The stove was very nice and we were able to feed our large group easily. Many of us could be in the kitchen helping prepare meals with ease. And clean-up was easy because we could use the dishwasher or hand wash everything.

The way to the house was a little scary at night for some since it is in the hill country. But it makes the views while you are driving all the better!

We went to the Oasis for dinner the second night which was super close with amazing views of Lake Travis and there are lots of shops and things to do right there.

There were a couple different options for grocery and convienient stores within 10 minutes.

Having the house was such a perfect way to not have to worry about getting multiple hotel rooms.

Each morning we sat out on the patio and drank our coffee no noise and so peaceful. Then on Sunday when we had an easy drive arboretum for lunch before we all headed home. This was a great location for lake access and being close to the hill country serenity.

Thanks for letting us stay!
