Perfect, comfortable, scenic! Best yet!!
Without a doubt, this was one of our best vacations yet! This lower level walk out apartment provided all the amenities we needed, and was the most scenic, private location! Owners really respected our privacy, while still being available for any questions or loaning us a lobster pot :0). The boats and pond looked so inviting, but it was chilly, and we had much to see, so we didn't get to use them. The property has all the charm you could ask for, well decorated, and appointed, including an outdoor gas fire area on deck overlooking the pond (not pictured in her photos) to cook s'mores which the owner kindly left the ingredients for, just add graham crackers! My husband enjoyed the large screen TV to watch Red Sox playoffs, and we hooked up our Firestick for a bit too, (internet allowed us to watch most of the time) the Wifi was great for our phones & tablets. The Bose music system was also a welcome addition when we got home from our day trips, and were ready to have happy hour overlooking the pond! The bed was quite comfortable, multiple options for pillows, and patio had lots of chair options.
There is so much to see! Location was central enough to allow us to take day trips to Salem, Boston, Martha's Vinyard, and the many Cape towns. (Although if traveling into or by Boston, plan accordingly for traffic during peak hours) There is one set of outdoor stairs to access apt.; one step up into shower; and a small hill to the pond & dock, but I had no issues with those, even 3 mos. post op from Achilles surgery! If we ever get back this way, we will definitely stay here. Thanks Lisa and Bob for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!
Great place. Swimming was great. The Bancroft's were wonderful hosts.
Lisa takes very good care of her guest and goes out of her way to make you happy and you will have gorgeous views and sunsets from the pond .
Too many things were broken down and the owner has too many dogs running loose on property
The t.v. in the bedroom was broke and that was important to me to be able to watch t.v from the bed as i am disabled and need the comfort of the bedroom. She tried coming down a couple of days to fix it herself and her son came into our apartment also trying but that did nothing but interrupt our vacation time together everyday she came in and sat on the bed trying to fix it then had my husband lift the very heavy t.v. out to her balcony for her as she said her husband was away at a meeting. Almost our last day there she said she cant fix it she needs a new box.One day we came back and the door to our apartment was left wide open to her side of the basement I'm guessing thats when she sent her son in to try and fix the t.v. whom we do not rent from and should not have been in our apartment anyway. The other thing is she does have 5 dogs that live upstairs with her. Evertime my dog heard the dogs upstairs then she started barking and the owner was sitting down there with me as my husband was getting our things from the car and we both could hear the dogs running back and forth the floor upstairs it was very very loud and annoying. One time when we were trying to leave and get to the car all 5 dogs ran up to me and jumped all over my bad hip i was screaming help me their hurting my bad hip everything i had dropped out of my hands and her husband was outside on the phone and he walked over and yelled for the dogs to go in the house and said sorry and disappeared he never came back out to help me or anything never heard a word from him again. So i told the lady owner one day when she came down again to mess with the tv i said i like dogs but your 5 dogs jumped all over my bad hip and hurt me and she said casually i know. Nothing else. One day we were trying to drive in our parking space and the dogs were attacking our vehicle on both sides they jumped up and down all over our brand new car scratching it up everywhere we couldn't even get out til the husband and son could get them all in the house. The shower is also very old and need recaulking and the door is unaligned before we knew it leaked i slipped on the rug and trust me it hurt my hip replacement the rest of the night and i was scared to death it slipped out of place it hurt that bad I'm going to get an x-ray this week so I'm hoping everything is fine. On another occasion she was down there again she said I want a 5 star review so why don't you let me take you out for breakfast one morning.
I just finished a rental no one mentioned a problem with thi don’t watch tv down there and next time I’ll have to make sure Comcast is not very reliable I find I have had problems I was put on schedule but not till later whisk u told me earlier a bout the shower called a plumber but they could not get here in time offered a free breakfast for the unconvinced of no tv not for a 5 star review I was watching my sons dogs so he can do his finals I’m home is not handicap accessible the apartment was built in winter 2015 all appliances extra brand new sorry the plastic rim at bottom of shower was off don’t know why cleaning women or past tenement I always ask Deb when she cleans everything is working well I have very high standards with my apartment I hope you are well I myself have a bad knee and hip I hope all is well! I wish that you informed me of the accident I did indeed try to fix the tv bought a brand new one to replace one that was working but I was not strong enough to remove the old one I like to think I want to hear everyone’s review so I can exceed in making my place excellant my husband was away and my son is way more tech knowledge then so I asked to see if he could help so that they would be more comfortable because Comcast could not make it here befor they left I can’t control apointments I make for repairs on such short notice on a such a short stay
Lovely place on the cape! Perfect for a family of 4 to relax by the water.
My family enjoyed our time at Lisa’s home. The basement loft was exactly like the pictures. Comfiest pull out couch I have ever slept on. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. We used the grill and fire pit for a small bbq and s’mores. We went out on the boat on a warm day. The walkway to the dock was a bit rickety and the left side did not have a rope so it felt a little unsafe. But the view from the house from the water was wonderful, definitely the best property on the waterfront. Five minutes from stop & shop for groceries. 1 hr to Provincetown. Highly recommend sandy neck beach just 15 minutes away. Would come back in the warmer months.
