Guestbook comments from the owner

Our stay at this lovely home was great. It suited our needs perfectly. The rooms are a good size so you can fit the little ones in on the futons in the room with you(we were 2 families and a single uncle traveling to Maui together). Lots of room (and big bathrooms), enough privacy. AND OH ... what a nice view! Yard was nicely landscaped with lots of flowers we had not seen before and lawn was great for horse shoes and playing ball games with the kids. It was a good starting point for all our sightseeing. Very convenient to the Hana Hwy and away we went to all parts formerly unknown.

We ate outside most nights and grilled. Small cul de sac, nice safe neighborhood.

Perfect place to stay

  • 5 of 5

My business partners and I used this spot for a week in the quiet and beautiful town of Haiku. Just down the street are fabulous places to eat and some of the best healing modalities available (network chiropractor, yoga, massage therapy, spa, etc). It is a short drive to Paia and Makawao, and not at all far from the airport and great beaches. The house itself is perfect equipped with everything you could need as a home away from home. Very well maintained and inviting. I loved this area and this place so much we booked an extra week just a few days into our stay!

Perfect rental home for a quiet relaxing vacation.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home on our vacation to Maui. The location couldn't get any better, we were away from all the tourist scene but just minutes from beaches, easy access and central location to every part of the island. We explored the whole island so easily with this as our home base, we kept saying to each other that we could not have been in a better location. It was so wonderful to come home every night to such a comfortable house, sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze. The outdoor living space was such a great addition and was the perfect spot to have coffee and breakfast in the mornings. We created such special family memories on this trip and staying in this house in Haiku allowed us to really spend quality time together without being distracted by all the commotion you get staying at a hotel. It was private, comfortable and so easy to relax in. Even though we felt like we were in a more quiet and remote location, we were just a short walk to some of the best restaurants and to the grocery store. We didn't want to leave and will definitely come back and stay here on any future Maui trips! To anyone thinking of staying in Maui I would recommend staying in this beautiful home to get the full feel of the true Hawaii.

Great place to stay for a family and conveniently located close to paia and the upcountry attraction

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying at the Vintage Voyager during our last visit to Maui. The house is located close to Paia, Mt Halelakala, the road to Hana, and the "upcountry" attractions. We prefer this part of the island over the more touristy west part and feel we had a more authentic experience of the island staying here. The house is very comfortable and has a great porch where we spent many mornings having coffee and evenings enjoying our dinner. My only constructive criticism is we could have used more beach towels and household sundries (paper towels, tp, etc). All in all a great place to stay and I'd definitely recommend it!

Family and Friend vacation in Haiku Town

  • 4 of 5

I want to tell you how much we enjoyed your home. I stayed in the master bedroom and was pleased with my accommodations and simply loved having a private place to go after a day with family and friends. The kitchen and patio were my favorite locations and where I spent most of my time. I cooked many meals there and found the stove to be in perfect working order. Having an open kitchen that faced the living room and dining room table was especially nice for hanging out while preparing meals. Not to mention that there was many a great food ingredient safely stored there and most any kitchen utensil we needed.

The patio was a wonderful place to relax on a rainy day and to chill out at the end of the night. We read out there and it was another place to hang out so that we weren't always in one another's space. Plenty of seating and another table made it a wonderful place for breakfasting before heading out for the day.

It was convenient to have an entire garage as another place to sleep, hang out, dry out wet clothes, do laundry and prep our stuff for the day before heading out to the van.

The location is fabulous as well. An easy drive from anywhere, minutes away from Paia, restaurants, several beaches, the road to Hana, Makawao, Haleakalā National Park and of course, the best natural food store on the Island, Mana Foods! We were so well fed between Mana and Costco.

The value of your home fit our budget perfectly and I will highly recommend it to others who choose to stay in Haiku. Thanks and we look forward to many more visits.

Thank you for many wonderful memories we created in your home. Staying in Haiku made this trip to Maui my favorite indeed. Oddly enough, Haiku reminds me a lot of the Pacific North West with all the green hills, gardens, the rain and local food. I am now a faithful "Up Country" convert and would never consider staying anywhere else on the island. I wish I had been there to meet you upon arrival but I came a few days after my family due to a work engagement.

Regards and Aloha,

Reba
