4 bedroom home in downtown Bozeman, with tons of character. Designed and built to live comfortably, the 2500 sq. ft. house has a study, sunroom , and deck to make your stay fantastic. Isolated bedrooms mean multiple families can stay, each enjoying their privacy. Neat features include a porch off the master bedroom, beautiful fireplace, log-cabin interior, deck with grill, beautiful kitchen, a piano, and raised garden beds in the back. The house was sustainably built, using existing timbers, a passive-house spec air envelope (exceeding LEED), and passive heating and cooling. The layout makes it easy for guests to have their own private space, as well-- great for two-(or three-) family rentals. Less than a block from a beautiful park, and a 4-minute walk to downtown Bozeman. The driveway allows off-street parking, and the home stays wonderfully cool during the summer. Still not sure? What makes this house unique

I wanted to design and build a home that felt like shelter-- somewhere to belong. I wanted it to be built intelligently, and I built it hoping to give it to my grandchildren. We used best design practices to create a very livable space that fits in the style of the neighborhood. If you are interested in the building design, I would be happy to talk about it, including passive-house envelope, passive air conditioning / convection, high-efficiency fireplace, human-scaled dimensions, light use, and space use, to name a few.

  • The bathrooms are all fully functional, clean, and organized. Hot water is supplied by a gas tankless water heater (endless showers, if you need one). Nothing special here, but nicely designed, functional (and mildly stylish) space.

  • Master Bedroom - 1 queen , This is the master bedroom, with full bath and deck.
    Guest Bedroom - 1 queen , This is our guest bedroom, with TV and bookcases.
    Kids' Room - 1 bunk bed , Great futon / bunk bed for kids. VERY funky space.
    Basement bedroom - 1 queen , Basement bedroom suite, with desk, bath, and sofa.
  • The Master Bedroom creates a cozy, intimate feel, with a great space that just feels nature. The full bath gives just enough separation for privacy, while still being part of the suite. In addition, it has a small balcony-- perfect for watching sunsets on a warm summer evening. It includes a well-lit vanity, storage, a tiled bathroom, and even a laundry chute. The Guest Bedroom features a TV and a small, private reading space. It also includes exposed rafters, full bookcase, a closet, and a great window open to the sunrise. The kids' room includes a full/twin bunk bed setup that doubles as a futon. This is probably one of the funkiest rooms you've ever see, and just about every kid (and adult) loves it. It has a closet and dresser, as well as several nooks and crannies. The basement bedroom is the newest addition. It features an isolated location in a living suite-- including a sofa, desk, privacy door, fully tiled bathroom shower, and custom-built vanity.

1.5 hours from Yellowstone National Park. 30 minutes from fantastic fishing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, camping, and beautiful scenery.

Awesome place

We had the house packed to capacity, but definitely did not feel confined. Great location with short walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops. Very cool setting, nice modern feel to it. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking to stay in Bozeman.

Great location, clean, cozy and equipped

We stayed here with three couples and one teenager -the four bedrooms meant each family had their own space (and bathroom!). The house is very well equipped, comfy and spacious. It is also centrally located to downtown and we were able to walk everywhere -shops, dining, bars, etc. Would absolutely recommend!

Wonderful Find!!

Spent several days in this charming home enjoying all that the Bozeman area had to offer. The house is well appointed and so comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to think of everything.

The ease and proximity of walking into town is a pleasure. There are so many good restaurants and interesting things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing and Modern

It's hard for descriptions and photos to do this place justice. I LOVE staying here. It feels like vacation and home at the same time. Favorite things include the breeze that comes through the open window while sleeping in on the comfy bed in the upstairs guest room; sitting on the couch in the mornings to read in the cozy living room; the proximity to a wonderful park. Also, the kitchen makes food so much fun. There is plenty of space for food prep and enough room that multiple people can be in the kitchen cooking together. The deck overlooking the garden is so pleasant in summer evenings as well.

I love being able to walk to Co-op Downtown and The Country Bookshelf and Bozeman's awesome library. Oh, another favorite thing—sipping hot cocoa in front of the fire after an outing to Hyalite Lake or skiing at Bridger Bowl or a day trip to Yellowstone.

I would definitely recommend this property.

Yellowstone National Park is an hour away. Frankly, we usually find ourselves hiking or biking in the mountains surrounding Bozeman-- 15 minutes from house to trailhead.
