APPLEWOOD is tastefully decorated for you to relax and have all the comforts of home. There are three bedrooms: two with Queen size beds and the third with twin beds. A full bath with VICTORIAN TUB and separate large SHOWER are all on the second floor. The laundry room shares the 1/2 bath on the first floor and the utility room provides a place for skis, fishing equipment, or other incidentals you might bring. You'll have an acre of trees and well manicured lawn around you with outdoor patio, table and chairs and propane grill. A rattan swing sits further away in the yard from which to watch the stars. The home is fully air-conditioned and has electric forced air heat. Stairs are wide and carpeted. Parking is close the house. Amenities include television, internet, and all linens and a full kitchen with microwave, pots, pans, silverware toaster and Kehrig coffee and maker. There is a picnic basket with service for 4 so that upon ordering sandwiches from local shops, you can take in local WINERY'S entertainment or picnic at the STATE PARKS. The back yard is a great place to star gaze.

Upon arriving, you'll be given a list of events, and inside is a basket with eateries and other fun places for you to look up.

We want you to enjoy and remember your stay at Applewood!

About Susan

We are siblings looking to share what we have been so blessed to have inherited; so that others may enjoy the beauty of the mountains also.

Susan purchased this house in 2011

Why Susan chose Normalville

This acre is part of the larger non-working farm that consists of 100 acres. Applewood sits by itself and is your private home while here. The barn is very visible and no longer used for livestock. The fields are rented out to local farmers for growing livestock feed. This has always been the place to come and play no matter where we lived as young adults.

What makes this house unique

The coziness of the house reflects how we feel about living in the mountains. People are friendly and we are close to so many attractions and historical sites. People come from abroad to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's famous homes. The many trails, whether bike or walking are beautiful in any season and constantly changing. The festivals will take you back to a time and era when steam ran the farm equipment and sugar was and still is tapped in the maple trees. As you travel the roads, you'll see covered bridges, babbling brooks filled with trout, and friendly faces.

Winter activities abound at the 3 ski resorts in the areas, state parks, theaters and more.

All this and more lies within 20 minutes of Applewood Country Cottage, just waiting for you to enjoy.
