Sleeps 12. 3 bedroom cabin with extra large loft in Packwood
About Pine Lodge
Husband and wife Joseph Taiwo and Irene Botero own Pine Lodge. They, along with sons Patrick and Jeremy live in the greater Seattle area. Jeremy, is a 2016 U.S. Olympian in the decathlon! Yes he made the U.S. team and came in 11th place in Rio! He followed in his father's footsteps, as Joseph was a two-time Olympian in track and field in 1984 and 1988.
Pine Lodge purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Pine Lodge chose Packwood
Joseph and Irene designed their cabin and construction was completed in 2003 by Randle Woods, a local artisanal construction company. All of the supporting deck logs came from trees felled on the property as did the large trunk supporting the unique spiral staircase to the second floor. The owners fell in love with the area while staying at a friend's cabin in Packwood and fulfilled their dream of building and owning a vacation cabin that they and their two boys could enjoy year round. Winter recreational activities abound in the area with snowboarding, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing at White Pass, and snow-machining on local trails, just 20 minutes up the road. In the summer, the area lakes and streams which are usually stocked provide loads of fishing opportunities. Hiking is plentiful in the surrounding national forests, and in Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier National Parks. One of our favorite summer activities is enjoying a scenic 2 hour drive over White Pass into the Yakima Valley to enjoy area wineries. The cabin itself provides a wonderful opportunity to relax in the hot tub, to play board games with family and friends, to star-gaze, play a round of croquet in the back yard, roast marshmallows in the fire pit and to explore Coal Creek/ National Forest, right across the road accessible using specific easement points posted next to the front door.
What makes this Cabin unique
Across the street from the cabin is Coal Creek & the National Forest which is accessible using specific easements/ trails posted on a map next to the front door. One specific trail leads to rock slides and water falls upstream. It is a well kept community secret that deserves to be shared! Please enjoy our cabin as much as we have over the years and make yourself at home in this beautiful location!!

Great location, and very well later out cabin!
We had a great time in the cabin! It was hot the first couple days due to temps in the 90s, but we survived. 😊 We utilized all the rooms and the upstairs bunks and it all worked out perfect. Thank you for the stay!
A wonderful location for a family retreat
We had a small family reunion/vacation of sorts. It was great to have a comfortable place for everyone to be together in nature. The kitchen was well stocked and efficient, the internet access was a must have and appreciated by the kids and great grandma. The beds were comfortable and the shower was awesome. We highly recommend Pine Lodge.
Cozy, and Responsive Customer Service
We've stayed at this cabin two years in a row for a White Pass ski trip, and it's suited our needs wonderfully both times. The second time, there was some confusion and the cabin wasn't quite ready, but the property manager was super responsive and fixed the problems within an hour of reporting it. It's a really lovely place and great for a ski trip with a group of friends.
Wonderful place to stay!
The cabin was perfect for our group family getaway! The loft area was great for all the kids to bunk in together and to have a hang out with the foosball table and movie area. For a larger group it does not feel like you are on top of each other. The cabin was exactly as it was pictured and the hosts were wonderful to deal with, quick and efficient in answering all my questions prior to arrival. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again when visiting the packwood area.
