Loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time at this house. It was in a great location, (close to town), on a quiet beach with a gorgeous views. Saw a few sea turtles and some whales jumping out of the water (they were far away of course but still cool to see). Would love to stay there again.

The definition of vacation

  • 5 of 5

• Haleiwa town for shopping and healthy eating.

• Whales and flying fish breaching in the distance from the porch.

• Rainbows and full moons rising.

• Off shore kayaking and snorkeling in the backyard.

• Relaxed living inside and/or outside.

• Nearby hiking and birding.

If vacation is removing you from work for a while and placing you physically and mentally in an oasis, this location fits the definition. Thank you from all who experienced this oasis.

30 Year Anniversary Celebration

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in Hawaii 30 years ago and we decided to return to Oahu with our adult children to celebrate. We were not disappointed. Hale Kailu'u was everything we expected and more...

Waking up to the sunrise and seeing the beautify pink sky and blue ocean from our bedroom window was amazing. Walking along the sandy shore, snorkeling, swimming with sea turtles, Tahitian coconut is truly a beautiful place in paradise. The view of the ocean from the expansive deck of the pole house was spectacular. We enjoyed the privacy of the yard for playing games and laying in the sun.

The Hawaiian style architecture and interior decor really made you feel part of the islands. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, but the house is designed to allow for the tradewinds to flow inside with the many louvered windows throughout all of the rooms. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the house easily accommodated six adults.

The location near Haleiwa was perfect for us. We enjoyed the many shops, local food trucks for lunch, as well as Teddy's, Cholo's and Haleiwa Joe's for evenings out. It was also easy to drive to Pearl Harbor or over to Laie to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center, in addition to all of the North Shore beaches and attractions.

Needless to say...we look forward to returning.

Wonderful ocean front Hawaiian property

  • 5 of 5

A delightful oceanfront property with direct access to a quiet beach provided the sanctuary for which our party of 6 hoped. The property boasts of a gorgeous ocean view with a generous lawn and Hawaiian foliage to enhance the experience. We enjoyed early mornings watching the sun rise and the ocean awaken. The house is spacious with each of the 3 bedrooms comfortable. The kitchen provided all that we needed (except for food) including a variety of seasonings and condiments. We enjoyed grilling and relaxing on the roomy lanai that encircles the house. The sandy beach is soft and the angle into the water somewhat sharp, but we enjoyed spending time in the waves and snorkeling with frequent turtle sightings; recommend aqua shoes. The home is near Haleiwa with a variety of good restaurants, "fish trucks," and shopping. It is a pleasant 45-minute drive from Honolulu with several other attractions in closer proximity. We alternated days at the house with sightseeing around the island which provided plenty of time to visit, relax, and recharge.

The house is positioned on piers which allows a great view of the water. The covered parking area is a short walk to the steps up to the house. Two of the bedrooms are ensuites, the third (with two twins versus king bed) has a bathroom across the hall. The living room is larger than appears in the photo with comfortable seating. There is no AC and the house will get warm when doors are shut to secure the house in our absence; we were there during the hottest month and found the house would cool fairly quickly once we opened the sliding doors back up. Each bedroom has plenty of fans; but there is only one fan in the living room/kitchen area. We learned to avoid heating up the kitchen during evening meal preparation; however, using the oven in the morning was never a problem.

The few issues we encountered were quickly addressed by Cody who was readily available but unobtrusive throughout our stay. Franci responded promptly to all our questions and worked with us to ensure a delightful stay. Our deposit was promptly refunded. As I've said before, thank you Franci for sharing your delightful Hawaiian home with us. We highly recommend this property to others looking for a quiet relaxing get-away in Hawaii!

Perfect house for a laid back vacation

  • 5 of 5

This location was just as advertised. Beautiful beach and view, wonderful home with everything you need to just kick back and relax. We went for a swim and walk on the beach everyday and were able to see a turtle or two just about every time. We ventured out for some half day excursions but really enjoyed just staying on the property. It was a great fit for our family of 6, which consisted of three generations. We are already talking about how soon we can come back and stay again.

Beautiful slice of heaven on the North shore!

  • 5 of 5

The views are wonderful! Enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the waves come in. Just down the shore line to the West we were able to see plenty of turtles feeding on the rocks. A very wonderful place to stay while on the Island of Oahu. We look forward to returning next year.
