About the property

3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom home located on north shore beachfront

Hale Kailu'u is a beachfront traditional style Hawaiian home located on the beautiful quiet sandy beach of Waialua, Oahu. Hale Kailu'u, literally translates as 'house where you dip or immerse yourself into the ocean' celebrates this beach house where you will be immersed in the ocean breezes and smell of the sea. This 3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom home sleeps up to seven, is decorated in traditional Hawaiian style with hardwood floors, area rugs and a mix of rattan furniture. It features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, wrap around windows and deck with ocean and mountain views. The property is situated on 0.5 acre of land, with a large grass yard with established typical island plants including numerous mature plumeria trees.

The sandy beach in front of the property is in a relatively protected ocean area allowing for swimming and snorkeling with large sea turtles. There is also ample opportunity to walk along the long beach front. There is a hot water outdoor shower for rinsing after beach activities. Oahu's highest mountain peak, Mt. Ka'ala, is seen in the Waianae range from the rear deck and bedrooms.

Waialua is located on the quiet part of the North Shore of Oahu, though is only 12 miles from Sunset Beach and close to Haleiwa town. Haleiwa harbor is a popular spot for those learning or wishing to practice surfing as well as stand up paddle boarding. Fishing and sailing charters are available, boat diving, as well as popular shark watching tours.

Perfect house for a laid back vacation

  • 5 of 5

This location was just as advertised. Beautiful beach and view, wonderful home with everything you need to just kick back and relax. We went for a swim and walk on the beach everyday and were able to see a turtle or two just about every time. We ventured out for some half day excursions but really enjoyed just staying on the property. It was a great fit for our family of 6, which consisted of three generations. We are already talking about how soon we can come back and stay again.

Beautiful slice of heaven on the North shore!

  • 5 of 5

The views are wonderful! Enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the waves come in. Just down the shore line to the West we were able to see plenty of turtles feeding on the rocks. A very wonderful place to stay while on the Island of Oahu. We look forward to returning next year.

Right on the beach, classic Hawaiin home.

  • 5 of 5

It's a lovely Hawaiin house, right on the beach with all the amenities we needed to have a great time. There are kayaks, floaties, a boogey board, lots of towels and all the things we needed in the house as well. We had a terrific time!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for ten days. It was a once in a life vacation for us. And it was amazing! We had morning coffe on the deck looking out on the ocean, it was so relaxing. The house was extremely nice/clean and comfortable. It has everything you need minus food. A grill outside and a completely stocked kitchen, pots, pans, silverware, etc. we really enjoyed visiting the small shops and markets in the local towns. My husband snorkeled twice a day! And saw sea turtles every time. He said it was like swimming in a aquarium. The manicured lawn with the hedges makes it very secluded.

I would recommend this rental to anyone that wants a beautiful relaxing stay.

Wonderful views and friendly neighbors

  • 4 of 5

What a trip! Just looking out on the deck was total enjoyment. It was a wonderful home. My grand kids loved walking a few step to the beach. This was their first experience seeing the ocean. They also fell in love with SPAM of all things. They had to have it every day. The food and shopping near this home was fantastic. Also, wanted to Thank Cody for all his help. He greeted us when we arrived. Thanks for a a trip of a life time.

Wonderful beach getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed two weeks at this home right on the north shore of Oahu. First week with my two adult children, second week with my boyfriend. Home was perfect for the first week of water adventure, sports and hiking. Second week was also amazing with a chill, romantic beach experience. Cooked the yummy fish we caught on the deck grill, enjoyed coffee on the wrap around deck overlooking the ocean and a beer at the water's edge for sunset. North Shore is laid back, fun vibe. We went shark cage snorkeling, deep sea fishing and hiked several of the surrounding trails. Greatly enjoyed the beautiful beach which sits literally out your front door. Nothing better than sleeping to the ocean sound! Enjoyed meals at Haleiwa Joe's and sat at the bar for Margs and dinner at Liuebuenos. Great vacation!!!!
