Less than two miles from the quaint town of Glen Ellen in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country and near the Valley of the Moon Wine Road, this beautifully decorated and very comfortable guest cottage is waiting for your arrival.
The very large one bedroom cottage is fully equipped for a couple to stay the minimum nights, a week or even longer. The one story building with soaring beamed ceilings is designed so you have the feeling of spaciousness and indoor outdoor living. You can move easily from the cottage to the outside through French doors available on all sides of the cottage. The hardest thing you will have to decide is where to sit and relax and read a book or have a glass of wine. The outside has multiple places to relax and enjoy the gorgeous landscape. You could spend all day wandering the property and yet not see everything.
The owners have made the cottage into your home away from home. The large spacious bedroom looks out onto a private patio. Next to the bedroom is a beautiful Italian tiled yet spa like bathroom/ shower. The great room is really a great room. A full kitchen, dining and living area with all the comforts and modern conveniences we are accustomed to. As you move around you marvel at the décor and attention to detail the owners have put into this meticulously maintained cottage. You will not want to leave.
But if you do have to leave and visit the area, you are situated in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. If your interest is to taste wines, you are within 3-15 miles of 50 world class wineries, highly rated restaurants, and gourmet grocery shopping. If you enjoy hiking, Sugarloaf Mountain and Jack London Park are close by and provide something for everyone; easy to challenging. Heading north you can visit the towns of Kenwood and trendy Healdsburg or even further north to the Alexander and Dry Creek winery appellations. Sonoma’s historic town plaza is but a 11 mile beautiful drive where you’ll find many more restaurants, shops, a historic movie theater and daytime and night time entertainment. There is something to do for everyone!

The cottage was beautiful, clean, perfectly decorated and private. We enjoyed our time spent at the cottage and driving to near by wineries. Highly recommend this cottage for a romantic visit to wine country.
We have stayed at this cottage twice and hope to have the opportunity to stay again! The cottage has every amenity one could want- a kitchen with high end stainless steel appliances, kitchen tools, dishes, pots and pans etc. The bathroom has a good size shower and everything is modern and clean. The living area is comfy and is beautifully decorated. Outdoors, the gardens are incredible with seating areas to lounge and enjoy the colorful flowers and birds .i am so happy that the owners who created the wonderful space share it with others ! In addition,
the cottage is located in a great area for dining, wine tasting and relaxing.
The owners made us feel right at home, welcoming us and asking if we needed anything which we didn't cause the house has everything you could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and amazing outdoor space. Very comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen! We grilled one night and George, the owner, helped us get the grill going. Perfect location, we biked in to Kenwood to do some wine tasting which was and easy ride - less than 4 miles. Would DEFINATELY recommend this property!!
The cottage was just as advertised and more. George and Heidi were wonderful hosts and could not have been more welcoming! The cottage is extraordinarily decorated and provisioned and quite comfortable. Great WI-FI service for those who need to work while away or otherwise need to stay connected. Very quiet setting and private despite being just a few yards from the main house on the estate. Be advised - area is very rural and remote and Glen Ellen is a very small town with just a couple of groceries and a few restaurants - however, reasonably close to Sonoma, Yountville and other larger towns and only 20 minutes from the closest Costco.
The "cottage was lovely and every side of the house has a gorgeous garden. This cottage is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Sonoma and yet close enough so can completely enjoy your stay. in Sonoma County. The owners live in their house directly across one of the gardens. The property is secure . The owners are first class individuals and we enjoyed a glass of wine with them one evening. They are very accommodating , friendly, and hospitable. This cottage was so quiet and serene and the gardens so beautiful we chose to end our day of touring wineries having dinner at the house. A Very nice supermarket is close by in Glen Ellen and anything you will need will be there. The cottage is well maintained and you will not be disappointed in the furnishings. The photos on line do not do it justice. Quiet, serene, and relaxing. We stayed there a week.
It is off the beaten path but easy to find.
Amazing, from the time we stepped through the gate, the gardens surrounding the Cottage are an oasis with plenty of seating areas for you to enjoy all that nature has to offer, including a morning cup of coffee listening to the doves. The cottage itself has everything you need from a well stocked kitchen, information and interior décor that is enchanting, the pictures can't capture the beauty enough. This was a girls trip and we couldn't have picked a better place, very convenient to all the area Wineries and Parks. The Botanical Gardens and Jack London Park (must see) are only a few minutes drive from the cottage. Jack London Saloon and Glen Ellen Star are great places to eat and relax from a day of touring. Only a 30 min drive to Armstrong Woods with it's beautiful Redwoods and then a scenic 30 minute drive to the Coast following the Russian River where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Pacific and even take a walk on the beach. I will definitely visit the area again and have no doubt I'll be staying in this Cottage again. My thanks to Heidi and George for sharing this wonderful cottage and making our trip one of the best ever.
