Charming house, exceptional owners

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I very much enjoyed this property as we relocated from California to Georgia for his job. We also arrived with our 3 dogs, of which extended stay hotels would not accept more than 2, nor would they allow us to leave them in the room alone. Asenah and George Richeson came to our rescue, and for that we are forever grateful. They allowed us all to stay at their charming cottage and feel welcome at our temporary ‘home’ for one week, which then turned into 16 days due to movers delay. The house is much larger than it looks, comes equip with just what you need to get by, and even has a working washer and dryer. The desk inside was perfect for me to continue my remote work, and lovely covered deck area to watch the train go by. Others seem to dislike the train, we loved it! Shakes the house a little, but the sound adds to the charm. The neighborhood is adorable and made for lovely walks with our dogs as we got to know the area. The unit does have a downstairs space, which was occupied one night of our stay. We only heard the guests when they were outside using the BBQ.

Thank you so much for making our relocation much easier and an unforgettable, charming experience. I’d say we’d be back, but we’ll live in the area instead!

Owner's Response: We look at our guests as part of our family. You have to make allowances for extenuating circumstances and we are please that our home has worked for you and your husband. You might have a large group come to see you and you need extra room. Think of us. Good luck in your new adventures and welcome to Atlanta.

I gave it 4 stars because the cottage was very cute and centrally located to local attractions.

  • 4 of 5

I didn't give 5 stars as the cottage was missing cable TV and there was a train that went by several times at night. We were not informed that there was a train track so close. The first night it startled us and woke us up. Once we got used to it we slept better. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

charming cottage in the city

  • 4 of 5

What a charming eclectic house, it was comfortable and met all our needs. Its minutes from the town square, it has restaurants and boutiques etc. and it sits in a lovely neighbor hood and at night you can hear the train go bye, it feels like being in the country but you are in the city. we would stay again.

CHARMING, CHARMING, CHARMING!!!

  • 5 of 5

Charming village with Town Square, great eateries and shopping an easy walk away. Tremendously located for local, Cobb County, Atlanta area, or NW Georgia activities or events.

Charming cottage that is SO comfortable and roomy - much larger than you would expect from the photos. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with style and comfort in mind. (The leather recliner - OMG!) The bedrooms were bright and restful with more than enough dresser and closet storage - unusual for an older home. Spacious bath with a terrific soaking tub and shower. The country kitchen is the heart of the home and quickly became the center of our activities. On the way to the big covered deck is an enclosed porch with a washer and dryer! On top of everything, well behaved pets are welcome.

Charming hosts that were helpful and friendly. They were quick to respond to inquiries and handle any issues. They are the kind of couple you would want as friends.

This was a wonderful 11 day retreat for Michael, Dexter Dog and me in a very difficult time.

Thank you.
