My sister, her boyfriend, and I live in Charleston, SC and received a mandatory evacuation on a Tuesday afternoon in preparation for Hurricane Matthew. We have animals that we could not leave behind and struggled to find a place to stay. George was the only person to pick up the phone and offer us a rental. He and Asenah were so accommodating and kind. We were able to leave early the next morning and get into the rental by early afternoon. They were also flexible with our schedule as we did not know when we could return home. The cottage was cute and in a great location. We were able to walk to Marietta Square in less than 10 minutes. The square has bars, great restaurants, and shops. I cannot thank George and Asenah enough for all that they did for us during a very trying and stressful time. We are so grateful for their hospitality and compassion!
We were very pleased with this rental. The cottage was extremely clean and had all the essentials we needed. My only complaint would be location. We were in Atlanta to attend an event at the Georgia Dome and I did not realize how far away it was from the house. Certainly not their fault, but rather mine for not being more aware. I give the cottage 2 thumbs up for sure!
The house was a charming older house in historic Marietta. The area had amazing houses (both older historic homes as well as new construction). We were playing baseball in the new Lake Point Perfect Game facility in Emerson and East Cobb facility in Marietta. The house was a perfect location for both fields (+/- 25 min to Lake Point and +/- 15 min to East Cobb). Marietta was a very cool little town with a town square (not common in SoCal). Nice shops and restaurants. The house was older with smaller rooms but clean. Laundry and kitchen were nice to have when travelling. The owner George was very punctual in replying and extremely accommodating. Overall a great house in a perfect location.
Our son was recently married in Marietta. We stayed at this cottage and couldn't have been more pleased. It is charming, comfortable and perfectly situated to the charming downtown and a short drive to the Kennesaw Mountain National Park Battlefield. George, the owner, is very accommodating and helpful. We highly recommend this cottage when visiting this beautiful area.
Excellent decor and very comfortable for our three day stay in town. Provided us a good way station for all of our business in the local area.
We had a wonderful time in the Antebellum cottage in Marietta and fell in love with the town. Great place to visit and great place to stay. No complaints about the cottage, it was very clean and beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. We had everything we needed. We would stay there again if needed when we come back to visit our son. Owner were very prompt refunding our dam
age deposit. We left on Saturday 8/16/14 and it was deposited in our bank account by 8/19.
