Whether you’re visiting hill country for a wedding or family trip, our new 4BR, 3BA (sleeps 8) hacienda is your dream home. Visit wineries and state parks during the day, then make s’mores at the fire pit and stargaze with our telescope at night.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
This new hacienda-style home sits on 1.5 acres of rolling hills and trees overlooking the creek (close to town but far out enough to enjoy the quiet).
From the front door, you’ll enter the long and spacious living room with tile floors, a comfortable area rug, and a fireplace for cool nights. Curl up on the sectional sofa with room for 8 to watch a movie together on the huge flat-screen TV with cable while you update your friends back home using the house’s Wi-Fi.
Several windows and tall ceilings make the rooms bright and airy, as does the open design. The dining area near the back of the living room with seating for 6 has the best view of the expansive backyard. Four more guests can belly up to the breakfast bar with granite countertop on high-backed stools.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make a family-style meal or just a snack for a trip to the creek. With a large central island and long counters on both sides, there’s plenty of room for several cooks in the kitchen. The electric stove/oven with glass stovetop and dishwasher make cooking and cleaning up a breeze.
Readers will love the quiet second den space with comfy couch.
All 4 bedrooms have deluxe queen-size beds and luxury bedding. You’ll love the hacienda-style tile floors and views of hill country from tall windows.
With 3 full bathrooms, there won’t be a wait. Each has signature basin sinks and granite countertops. Two are attached to bedrooms – one with a shower/tub combo, and one with a standing shower – and one is shared with a shower/tub combo.
This home’s highlight, though, is the porch and backyard. During the day, relax in the shade or sun, with a table for four for al fresco dining. Gather around the fire pit (as long as there’s no fire ban) for s’mores, stories, and songs. When the stars come out, look at them even more closely with our telescope. Maybe you’ll see a meteor shower!
Dripping Springs lies in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, with amazing views of rugged hills and wildlife. Make sure your stay here includes a trip to the Hamilton Pool (11 minute drive), one of the best swimming holes in Texas.
Nearby, Milton Reimers Ranch Park will let you saddle up for some horseback riding, or you can hike, rock climb, or fish in over 2,400 acres of parks and open space along the Pedernales River.
In town for a wedding? Between the ceremony and reception, visit Salt Lick BBQ or the Duchman Family Winery, both just 20 minutes south in Driftwood. With other wineries and even an olive company nearby, you’ll feel like you’re in the Tuscany of Texas! Star Hill Ranch is a 7.5 mile drive from the property and Hamilton Twelve is less than 2 miles from the property.
Only 30 minutes from Austin and less than an hour from historic Fredericksburg and Luckenbach, this vacation home is your perfect home base for enjoying authentic Texas.
Whether you’re in town for a wedding or family escape, you’ve found your home away from home.
