Kailua-Kona Condo Rental Photos and Description

Luxurious lifestyle tucked into a studio ocean view & steps to Alii Dr Kona Fun!

Spectacular ocean view! Front view for Ironman! Luxurious lifestyle tucked into a studio ocean view & steps to Ali’i Dr Kona Fun!

We are at the epic center of Kailua-Kona Village. Whether a week or two, a month or more, your stay is variety at your finger-tips with spaces to explore! Experience invigorating bliss and adventure. Kona living is filled with birds chirping, ocean waves, trade winds, volcano, beaches, snorkeling, shopping for keepsakes.

Our unit’s tropic colors share a vacation experience Hawaiian style. Our studio condo is spacious yet cozy with comfort. A queen bed with a 3' gel topper gives total sleep pleasure with luxury thread linens. Unique artwork adds to your dreams of life in the Hawaii tropics.

Use our private internet Wi-Fi code. We’ve a 42” Flat Smart TV with DVD insert, to give you the ability to see your Netflix account movies, numerous Heart Radio stations, U-tube, even Facebook on the big screen! We’ve overhead fans besides A/C for the summer tropic months. The ocean-view front lanai has solar blinds. Use our 2 beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels.

We’ve a fully equipped kitchenette. A myriad of cooking electrical appliances replace a stove. Two sinks, one for kitchen and one for bath. A reverse osmosis water tap for perfect coffee or drinking. A shower surrounded in bamboo motif and, with just a little imagination and a rested soul, gives it that authentic “outdoor Hawaiian-tropical waterfall feel”!

Enjoy oceanfront outdoor lanai dining am or pm with outdoor light for evenings. Night Tiki-torches add a festive and exotic touch. Our corner lanai enjoys a jungle-like view on the corner end. Either the pool or the ocean is literally only steps on delightful walkways of lush Hawaii jungle growth. The common pool enjoys 2 gas BBQs to grill, hot-tub, lounge chairs and umbrella table/chair sets 9am to 10pm. Complimentary parking is available at our condo's parking lot with a parking permit hung on your visor.

Restaurants surround us: many with music, many with ocean views, with happy-hour specials including food. Stroll a block away to the Farmer’s Market for locally fresh tropic fruits and regular veggies, plus a wonderful array of Hawaiian retail items. “Waterfront Row”, across the street, sports a huge long dock full of restaurants, shops, tours, outdoor music several evenings weekly.

Snorkel? Walk 10 min to the King Kamehameha Beach pier where the Ironman begins. Drive or bus 10 min to popular Kahalu'u Beach Park on Ali'i Drive for a protected reef bay filled with fish. Drive further north or south where fantastic snorkeling beaches abound.

We’ve Hawaii books to find day-trips to pursue on The Island of Hawai’i. Or share in Kailua-Kona Village’s activities. Experience paddle boarding, outrigger canoeing, bicycling, monthly art walk festival, Yoga, Lomi-Lomi massage therapists, Queen's palace history tour.

You'll make this your memory for what you crave to see, to be, to do, to live. Kona offers peace and joy. A stay on The Big Island offers time to savor, time to delight, and time to live.

About Sue and Bob Minahan

We love everything about life in the tropics. Kona, Hawaii is the best! We live in Seattle, returning after 10 years in a search to find the sun. During those years, we lived in Arizona, Mazatlan Mexico, and Southern California above LA in Ventura County. But only in Kailua-Kona can we live across from the ocean, see it, hear the waves crash, and in moments be sitting on the beach watching the tide roll in, spot turtles, crabs and spinning dolphins. We visit here twice a year to both enjoy it, and to check every detail and make upgrades to our adorable vacation condo. This is our heart's home and we love the idea of sharing it with others who also find our condo an oasis of the spirit.

Sue and Bob Minahan purchased this condo in 2012

Why Sue and Bob Minahan chose Kona Coast

Seattle is our primary residence but our love of travel, kept us searching for a warm tropic climate filled with ocean surf and waves. After visiting Oahu, Kawai, and Maui, we discovered the Big Island of Hawaii shares all the peace and beauty and fabulous life we hoped!

A home with an ocean view! A lanai to spend outside! A pool! Market! Ocean beaches!Snorkeling! Restaurant choices everywhere! Our lanai's ocean view was love at first sight, all amid tropical flowers and palms, sound of the surf, birds, and great ocean breeze. We love the air mixed with the ocean. We love the lush plants and flowers on the property, the birds, the market with all the fresh produce just a block from us. We have the ocean to swim, snorkel, and the pool with covered tables and chaise lounges, BBQ, hot-tub -- for space to read, to chat or do Wi-Fi. We've visited the other 3 islands, but love the Big Island where you just feel right. Kailua-Kona is the perfect village, offering us a life-style that is fun, relaxed, varied every day, regenerating to our very soul.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo speaks of the Hawaiian culture and colors, offers home comforts, and resort luxuries of Old Hawaiiana gardens, immediate choice of restaurants, recreation, entertainment, relaxation. Ironman starts 10 min away at the Pier, the race is on Ali'i Drive, and we hear and see the ocean waves. And a wonderful kind culture with the best people, caring about one another in unity.

Incredible condo on Ali'i

  • 5 of 5

I moved to the Big Island in Sept of 2014 from Scottsdale, AZ. Since I am not sure of where my new employment would take me I have been staying in a variety of condo's (6 to be exact) between Kona and Waikoloa Village. I stayed in The Village for a month, two condo's there...then I came down to Kona to volunteer for Ironman. I happened upon this quiet quaint little studio condo, and immediately fell in love. My first night there I slept better then I had in a month...I awoke and had breakfast on the lanai, watching a crusie ship in Kailua Bay shuttle people back and forth to the pier. Its close to all the fabulous restaurants in Coconut Grove (minutes away)...close to swimming at the King Kam beach (10mn walk)...and walking distance to Magic Sands beach (ie 3 miles). I found that I had everything at my finger tips, from ocean swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, shopping, grocerys, live music, the famous iconic Church on Ali'i and incredible food. The perfect place if you dont feel like driving...7 miles from KOA airport...its as perfect a place as you could hope to find. If you are looking for a quiet, well maintained and managed condo on Ali'i...look no further. ALOHA

Owner's Response: We love hearing how your life felt so wonderful during your stay at our condo. We also feel it's an oasis for both restful moments and for connecting to all the life available in amazing Kona. All possible without a car-- though, we've complimentary parking, and Kona is great for getting to every direction on the island. Thank you so much, and we thoroughly value you to stay at our place again.
